I would think that in terms of competition, Ford, and Boettger are on pretty equal footing. Before we picked up Boettger as a UDFA, he had previously been projected as a second round pick, but fell from the draft because of a knee injury his senior year-- essentially the same injury that sidelined Ford, last season, if I'm not mistaken. At this point, I wouldn't give Ford the "inside track" as a function of his draft position, as Carucci suggests. The time they've put into developing Boettger is no small investment, either. Whichever player performs the best in TC, and preseason, should be the starter. Beyond that, I think the OL battles, as with most of the rest of the team, will be for backup positions. Continuity will make us better this season.

I'll bet in '21 even the refs have run out of bones for NE. -

It must not be as much fun for a Pats* fan to troll the Bills' message board anymore. Pats* Troll 2018: "The sky is falling in Buffalo!" Pats* Troll 2021: "The sky isn't falling in New England!" -
Pats* WR Harry requesting a trade

I remember when we drafted him, the media punditry called him the "most NFL-ready WR in the draft," which really translated to "entered the NFL at his ceiling." -

More, and more, I am coming to the conclusion that no magic button is necessary. The Pats* seem to be F-ing themselves all on their own. -
Pats* WR Harry requesting a trade

Trolling text I just sent to a friend who is a Pats* fan: The Pats* aren't going to miss N'Keal "Straight-Line" Harry-- Cam can't throw in a straight line anyway. Although, Mac & Cheese's long arcs that lose velocity, and fall out of the sky would've been perfect for him. -
Pats* WR Harry requesting a trade

"Straight-Line" Harry thinks he can get a better opportunity somewhere else-- and he may be right. But, there aren't too many WR corps currently worse than the Pats*, where Harry projects... third, or fourth down the depth chart? Maybe he could do better in Detroit with a reincarnation of Jared Goff throwing long bombs that Harry won't have to cut too sharply? Hard to be a top receiver on any team if you have neither high-end speed, or an ability to cut to get separation. -
Jacksonville Jag's game question

Re: bolded: It might ultimately sound that way, but I'll bet the seats on the bandwagon are starting to fill up in Jacksonville. -
I would say that were Rousseau to have not opted out, and had progressed in his system, and had a moderately better 2019 than his 2018, then yeah, Rousseau is a top 20 pick. And, I think this is what McD, and Beane are banking on. Add his obvious athleticism, and versatility, and he is a classic McD/Beane pick. And the fact that he is raw, and coachable makes him a perfect fit for the front-line rotational scheme that the Bills deploy. Potential for bust? Sure. But, in my homerist opinion, the Bills will be the perfect system for someone like Rousseau to succeed.

Teams are not eligible to be on Hard Knocks if they have been in the playoffs the previous two seasons. -

Can the rest of the world GTFO with the "America's Team" BS? It's sickening. -

I have this growing suspicion that Gene is actually my mother-in-law. And, she's a Pats* fan. It all makes sense. -

Maybe they could change the name to Washington Wild Football, or something like that, and trademark "WWF." (That's a joke for all the trademark experts we seem to have on here...) -
2021 Disaster QB Options
Rocky Landing replied to ICanSleepWhenI'mDead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was thinking when I saw this story that it wouldn’t really be too useful for the Pats*, unless it could throw wildly inaccurate wobblers (Cam), or floaters that lose velocity, and drop out of the sky (Mac). -

I, for one, welcome our robot overlords. -
From this article, regarding Mekhi Becton, who was eighth on the list: "He dazzled with his massive frame and strength early in his first season with the Jets, but was hampered by injuries. He wasn't the dominant tackle you might expect to see take a spot on a list such as this, ranking 31st in overall grade, per Pro Football Focus, but he has plenty of remaining potential." So, "remaining potential" is what it takes to make this list? Yet, Tremaine Edmunds wasn't on this list? Nor was Gabriel Davis? Or Taron Johnson??? Sorry, but this list is a joke.
