  1. No additional advice - just my sympathy. Never easy.
  2. How very un-metal of you, MetalMan.
  3. It's that time of year again: I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Child's Play charity: http://www.childsplaycharity.org/ It was started by the guys who run www.penny-arcade.com in hope of getting video games to sick kids stuck in the Hospital. Well, they have added Women and Childrens Hospital of Buffalo to the list (I think possibly due in part to an email I sent a while ago [/selfbackpattingoff]). If you go there it will take you to a "wish list" on Amazon.com where you can make a purchase that will be sent directly to the hospital So come on Buffalonian's and Gamers, show 'em what you got and make a sick kid forget about his ailment for 10 minutes with a game of NHL 11....! (Sticky this if possible...) EDIT: One thing to note - If you aren't from the WNY area, many, many other hospitals in many, many other regions participate in Child's Play as well! /Commandant Lassard....
  4. I think it was awesome. I mean, if you are gonna thank God when you catch the TD, you should feel free to light him up when you drop it.
  5. Where is her article on white WR's or RB's? Just look at TO's recent "fast for a white guy" comment for evidence that crackers don't get a fair shot at the other skilled positions.
  6. Sadly, most of those are made up or grossly exaggerated. Not that I mind hyperbole, or comedy, or whatever, but in this case the truth is far more entertaining.
  7. Look on the bright side; Black Friday is right around the corner.
  8. You know there are plenty of conservatives and Republicans (myself very much included) that think she is a dolt and unfit for the office of POTUS. You don't have to be a liberal or Democrat to hold that opinion.
  9. You don't want to trust them with anything important though. Maybe you get someone with a year to live, they make the 6 month trip, land, plug a few things in and die. But you've got some groundwork laid for the next set of visits.
  10. Just like people who say they hate Howard Stern used to account for a large part of his audience, I'm sure WGR is aware that a lot of people who tune in dislike the personalities. But the point is, they still tune in.
  11. They should send the terminally ill.
  12. I saw them ("them" being league officials of some sort) make someone take down a multi-chambered beer funnel that they had hanging on the back of their van. Not sure what that accomplished other than to satisfy some pedantic !@#$s notion of what might constitute offensive behavior or something.
  13. Agreed. And considering his team-first type statements that he's made since his arrival, such an announcement would seem out of (recent) character too.
  14. According to the latest D&C article, SM has already stated he wouldn't re-sign with the Bills in the off-season. Has anyone seen this verified anywhere else?
  15. With logic like that, your code must run like ****. "I never called your wife a whore - I just said she's a whore compared to that other girl. Wait - why are you so upset?"
  16. Anyone who doesn't see your toilet comment as being just as spiteful as the article itself is a grade-A moron. Fitting then I guess, that you don't see it that way. I've been around the globe, and while WNY isn't the best place on the face of the planet, to call it a toilet is a cheap shot by someone who is just looking for a reaction. Congrats !@#$. You got it.
  17. You're quickly distinguishing yourself as one of the bigger !@#$s on the forum. Or you're just trolling. Either way, you make me long for the return of the ignore button.
  18. Oh man that was great! It's been at least 3 days since I've read an article that mentions how it is cold in Buffalo. I'm glad to see high quality journalists and bloggers aren't letting that story die. The cold truth needs to be known!
  19. Keep an eye on your lawn CJ.
  20. Dog, you in some kind of internet 12 step program?
  21. Of course they could. Didn't you know that UB ignores top flight high school talent that should be playing college ball? Just check this guy out: Top QB Prospect
  22. We saw them walking around and filming. They got some shots of some people using a multi-chambered funnel on a lamppost. I hope that makes it in, because right before we were drinking riot punch out of it.
  23. Scouting? System/Scheme? Only 53 roster spots? I mean, we had no problem signing other players with veteran status. Have you ever thought these guys might be in the UFL because they simply can't cut in anymore in the NFL? I highly doubt Cleveland is saying "no" to Culpepper simply because he'll cost too much. The Bills just made a dumb extension to Kelsay. Certainly that didn't save them any money. I'm not trying to defend the moves the Bills have made, but everyone who thinks this was some earth shattering, poignant article just got lured in by what amounts to a nice advertisement for the UFL. For every Warner and Jackson, there are 51 guys who are doing what they love, but just aren't NFL caliber.
  24. No - you are missing the point sorry to say. That article in no way "proves" that NFL teams are ignoring "better" talent for the sake of savings. If anything, it's quotes from two guys with a vested interest in seeing the UFL succeed talking up their league. Can't blame them, but it doesn't mean NFL teams are knowingly ignoring veterans who could make their teams better simply to save a few bucks. The article actually goes so far as to cite the points spread as proof that the Bills are closer to a UFL team (by the way - as bad as the Bills are, do you think any UFL team could go into Foxboro and come as close as the Bills did? Laughable.). The lack of sound reasoning to make an illogical point is astounding. edit - Yeah there might be some talent in the UFL, I'm not denying that, but you are talking 1 or 2 players per team, not an entire roster.
