  1. I think maybe Johnny Winter? I've never been a fan of the era for the most part. Do you ever go to the Filmore? I've been there for a few shows and the place is great. Lots of history. We have 8 or so of the Filmore show posters at home framed.
  2. None of the bands that showed appeal to me at all. However the Stones and Zeppelin of the ones that didn't show do. I guess I wouldn't have gone to Woodstock that day and went to wherever one of these bands were playing.
  3. It's not that bad Chef. Some decent laughs. But some stupid parts. Definitely not blowing money at the theater to see it. $6 XBox Live rental is plenty.
  4. Unbroken was a half decent 6.5/10. Good, gut wrenching story albeit a bit long. Dragged out portions of it unnecessarily. Could have cut 20 minutes without losing anything. As good as the story was I thought the acting was mediocre and parts were a bit over the top hokey. I never felt particularly emotionally connected Louis the main character as well as his Japanese pow camp overlord. I thought he kind of overacted at times and seemed a bit to feminine for the part. Unless the guy was supposed to be gay and I just missed it. What I did take away from the movie was a interest Louis and his incredible ordeal. The book must be great.
  5. Nambia for me.
  6. The first time I watched Blair Witch I was visiting my mom who basically lived in the woods outside of Huntsville, Ont. The tv was downstairs which backed out to the back lawn which backed to the lake. As you can imagine totally black outside which was right there because of huge sliding doors and a couple windows. Pretty late at night and by myself with the parents in bed. Creepy setting to watch that particular flick.
  7. Wow. Being a disgraced criminal ex prez has it's benefits. Her breasts are as fake as he is.
  8. Paranormal Activity kept me creeped out for a couple weeks after. They did a lot with not much in that movie. Built tension nicely. This one looks creepy http://www.movieweb.com/movie/it-follows/international-trailer
  9. Another weak Republican put up there to lose. On purpose. Republicans don't care if they win or not. It's not like they are driven by a belief in federalism, the Constitution, property rights or individual freedom. They pretty much want what the Dems want they put up a token front to make them look like some sort of opposition. There voting record says so. Depressing as hell. I'm afraid Magox backed the other lame ass Republican fake candidate that couldn't beat a crappy president like Barry. Here we go again with yet another Bush. The guys that Barry ran against last time and beat. Pathetic.
  10. Fantasy hockey is fun. Harder for me than NFL and I really don't know why. I seem to draft a good team but always end up in the middle of the pack. There is more to consider in hockey and maybe thats where I fall down. Hits, penalty minutes, shots, gwg, ppgs, ppa's , ppp's and so on. Sometimes face offs. I think I pay to much attention to the obvious stats like goals, assists, goalie wins. I'm only in one league and I never expect to do any good in it and like the last few years I am 5th out of 10. As average as it gets and I have the two top scorers currently, Seguin and Voracheck. I also have Quick and Allen/Elliot combo in net so you think I would be right up there. MLB seems like way way to much work to be any good at it. You have to be on it every day. Not really winning to put that much time into it
  11. "The Night Stalker"(1972) A made for tv vampire movie set in Las Vegas. All vampire movies up until that point were kind of traditionally based in the 1800s eastern europe kinda thing. This one based in a current urban environment made it more real.
  12. Doomed with no Rodney. Never had a chance.
  13. This is interesting. My first thought is it's just some kind of satellite. Do you think that's possible? I don't really know what they look like these days. Do they have thrusters on them to adjust orbit?
  14. I thought you were giving me the business for posting a similar thread but If I knew he had one similar I just would have posted in his. Crap. Me and Gregg are connected some way! True creepiness!
  15. I thought I was the only one who thought that way. The only time I really enjoyed Ferrell was the part he played in "East Bound and Down" Damn I really like 22 Jump Street and I'm usually hard to please with comedies.
  16. I never saw this thread.
  17. We've been watching this for a while and wanted to see what other people think about it. I'm a skeptic but can't reason my way out of some of the situations on this show. These kids are way to young to come up with the information they do. Like a 5 year old sketching accurate blueprint like images of the Titanic for example. Calling a mother a nickname from her past that the kid had no way of knowing. And it's never just one thing the child does or says. A lot of stuff over the years. Never have believed in reincarnation but this show really is hard to explain away. I guess it could be all a lie by the parents just to get money from the show but the acting would have to be just to good. The parents all seem pretty average and very credible imho.
  18. This is bad logic. This is basically war we are in. We are much, MUCH better than them. In fact they are animals. I actually thats disrespecting the animal kingdom. They are worse. So to treat these guys like we would like to be treated is ludicrous. If we would have known Hitler was going to be such a monster wouldn't it have been worth it to torture some of his operatives to keep a step ahead of him? Torture is distasteful for sure but so is taking out a truck of troops with a predator drone but its war. Bad shite happens and this is just one more of those things. All the belly aching about enhanced interrogation I don't get.
  19. When I want to go to bed the long shootouts are annoying as hell. 20 rounds is wild though.
  20. Ive had a couple Evil Twin beers but no sure if I have had that one. I think with that name I would have remembered. I love getting the big bottles of these different beers. If I want to try one thats what I usually get.
  21. f you. j/k
  22. If I remember this one Greg, it was determined those were some sort of targeting flares supported by parachutes dropped by Air Force planes. They eventually disappear behind the mountains as they drop to the ground. I mean, that was the explanation.
  23. Lauguintas "Brown Suggah" weighing in at 9.9%. Does not taste overpowering at all. http://lagunitas.com/beers/brown-shugga/#
  24. Me to! Was the thing that kept me from spiraling into a week long depression. I was the highest scoring team in 3 of 4 friggen leagues gdmit!!!!! One of them I didn't even make the playoffs. How does that work! Now I can't listen to anything fantasy football. Ok now fantasy hockey.
  25. Damn that remake of Bad News Bears was bad. The original was a underrated classic.
