EDIT: Like good old school Polish soup. Like bladder soup. The trick is to boil the p iss out of it! You get over the smell. ?
-
Same here. But only travel every few months. He's most likely not. I have bad sentence structure too.
-
Hope I don't come off as a @Chef Jimuptight Polish type snob (is that even possible). But I made the spelling correction. LoL... Just phu... ing around now. I know you don't mind! ??
-
He must have called it: Pasta Fazool w/a load of baloney on the side! His NJ Italian azz was dead meat when @Chef Jimfrom the Bologna Outfit found out!!!
-
Absolutely NO beats in that " White Soup"... If there had been, I probably would have hated it! Carrots not a prob. Celery, etc... It was good cold too. But the cold potato noodles (almost like little balls)... Would cool it down rapidly. WTF... Yes, McFly. What's wrong with "NJ Italian." I just had Dinner @ Italian Village in Depew with family on Sunday... It was WONDERFUL! Sorry... It doesn't meet Your standard... But works for this low-brow Pollock. So what... They call it fazool or baloney. We all know the difference. Get over yourself.
-
Yep! We served it @ Dubel's in deli... You probably remember that, but of course would be crazy to ask for it! LoL... Grossest thing was getting the big pot out of cooler. There was an inch of fat on top and it would be like breaking ice when heating it up... To get to the duck's blood liquid below. Yet... Some of those Old Timers would gobble it up. Souse and head cheese... Now gross too! My parents would cube it up and dip in vinegar! Wow....That's shocking for a first world spoiled kid in 1970s... Even if Grandma had been right off the boat. Oh... My Grandmother made a "white" borscht... With Easter ham bone. Cold potato noodles, small dumplings added to hot soup. Add vinegar and salt to taste. My Sisters have recipe. We just called it: "White Soup." Now... That was a treat! Cold noodles to the hot soup. I can still remember my Grandmother's old tank of a stove. Had a well on stove top to heat the soup pot.

What's the sound when sh... Hits the wall? W op, W op, W OP! Yep. I just edited. *** gets lost in translation like @Chef Jim 's baloney.
-
Really? NO! Can't be. That's the joke dude. Lighten up. I purposely spelled it that way to expose your douchebaggery. Sorry... My first job was the Dubel's Polish Deli slicing Wardynski and Frey's Bologna, Krakus ham for old Polish Ladies that pile off the Senior Bus on Sunday's after Church LoL... I am too low-brow. Way over your head the joke.

Thanks. I just missed You! Sorry... Jeff called and I was still in Indiana... My son was finishing up a coding project in Iowa City and We wanted Him to ditch/change his pony here in the garage and drive in with Us... Such a waste taking two vehicles East. But We will meet some day... Maybe @ the Wine Bar or Lance's... It was a quick turnaround. Got in @ 6:30pm Tuesday and Son jumped in his car for the final 3.5 hour Western Leg to Iowa City. About a 15 minute layover. Mix the orange and regular sponge candy (for His Girlfriend) and pack up the Weber's & Bison dip... Jockey vehicles and head out. He was in The IC around 11pm Central.

How the heck did yoy dig this thread up! The way back machine. LoL... Caught your eye in the archives?

Uh... They were from Swindon. Not exactly from the House of Windsor. Oh... My co-worker's house to ORD is about the same distance from Swindon to London. Heck, it's only 20 miles shorter from BFLo to TO.
-
Did You ever have "BFLo Clam Chowder." No freaking joke. Just mix New England w/Manhattan! LoL... I think "The Hatch" @ Erie Basin Marina would serve it. Back in day... My older & youger sister's would work @ The Aud Club during the winter... My younger sister would work at The Hatch in Summer... I remember Her bringing some left over home... LoL... I guess they came a long way since My Sister's "The Hatch/Aud Club" professional culinary days scooping ice cream in summer and serving well-healed hockey fans in winter. Add Franks® & some chicken... https://www.closetcooking.com/buffalo-chicken-chowder/

Its 100 miles away. At 65mph. Huh? I had a co-worker that had a wife from I England (I know, low-brow Swindon). 0ne time her family came to visit. Landed at Chicago O'Hare. First thing they wanted to do: Drive to DisneyWorld. And two... Were amazed at "How many trees there were in the United States." Holy Moly do You Brits have any concept of distance? Wow two extremes there. 100 miles being "too far" and taking a day trip, drive to Orlando, Florida from Illinois. I think my co-worker said: "Do you Blokes take a day trip from London to Rome for a Sunday drive?" Which of course there are no direct flight. Most Canadians DRIVE to Niagara Falls airport to catch the routine, daily 2am flight to Fort Canadadale, Florida. LMAO... Sorry for being so damn snarky.

Who the ***** cares... I find it more than decent. I am 100% Polish-Pollock lineage from Cheektowaga... ?? I guess I am a wannabe NY/NJ Italian-Daygo.. I didn't know I had to "real." Sorry "Mr.Authentico." I bet you are full of mortadella not baloney. /smh...

Next thing is... People will just show up in their underwear. ~Signed, PrudInIllinois PS. She can wear My coat. LoL... And almost a page in an no "would ya?" You are all very shameful people! Shameful I say! Sorry. I missed this post. YOU are NOT shameful! Old men need loving too! This doesn't count. It's secondary. LoL...

TV & Movies. Hollywood sux... The mainstream crap I have given up for about 20 years. It's a wasteland. Music never. But, don't follow new trendy stuff. That's just as bad as TV/movies. Give it the test of time. -
TBD: TSW, The Off-season Anthology

Grass carp for the first three years of life cycle vaccuum up zooplankton like the silver and big head do throughout their whole life. Yet, after 3 years or so, grass carp switch exclusively to vegetation. Asian grass carp have been in Lakes for decades. When they rotenoned the two miles in the lower pool below the lock in 2011... They pulled out over 100,000 pounds of fish. 11,000 individual fish from across 30+ species. It was mostly GRASS CARP. NOT ONE silver or big head. No. I am well past letting them know, if ever that phase. This has been going on for almost 20 years... Places like Toledo are looking for political $$$$. The news knows what they are doing. The way they are managing the fisheries is the issue. The DNRs are their own worst enemy. They introduced NorthWest Pacific (coho) salmon in the Middle 3 Lakes starting in 1967. That's what they are worried about. DNR created the salmon industry, fishing charters. Asian carp is a direct threat to the fishery... And that salmon stamp $$$$ on the fishing licenses.

RIP Jerry! Man creates a museum for vintage calculators: https://www.wired.com/2010/08/vintage-calculators/ My mother was an accountant. Our first family calculator was a desktop Uniden... 4 function with memory... It was $70 bucks in early 1970s. Corded to wall... Figure a family of 6 went to Crystal Beach for $20, if that! Boy, She didn't trust that calculator! It had to have paper print out! LoL... I don't see it here: But Our Mother trusted this, LoL: Then thank God this! It had to have paper... Screw that fancy memory function... BUT, if She was living today, no doubt She'd be texting like mad and owning FaceBook, Twitter! /smh Neo-Luddites unite! When did that concept get thrown out the window... High Schools now mandate $600 iPods (and upgrades)... /smh... And annotating perfectly fine books so you can't pass them down to other children is the sick rule in education. Teachers, the system are really ***** -ed up!

[Vague Title] The Night's Watch

Understood. Yet... How does a team like Buffalo compete in environments like this? If Bills were in Toronto, would Antonio Brown have nixed the trade? -
[Vague Title] The Night's Watch

Okay... Since I responded to @BringBackFergy...I will respond to this. Some of the best smallie fishing in the world is done here in Chicago by the lock. Smallmouth like "stucture"... It's nothing but structure here, concrete floor, sheet piling/metal cells... I-beams... You can walk the barges in an see the huge smallmouth that lurk below in the cyrstal clear zebra mussel filtered water This was caught last May... Right at lock gates, notice sector (lock) gates in background. It's off limits to fishing except for the chosen few thay attemp to do "research" fishing... LoL... Wink Wink... To think... 40 years ago, nothing but sludge worms could live in this "industrial wasteland" and land of SuperFund sites. Bald eagles are here roosting and staying year round: -
FakeNews©! GRASS CARP. They have been in all the Lakes except Superior since mid-1990s. It's amazing what stories and misinformation can be spread to push a political agenda. There are 4 species: Black Grass Silver Big Head Silver (the ones that jump) and big head... Are the ones they are worried about. Please don't be a low-information reader and just read headlines...
