  1. 1. Sabres 2. Yankees 3. Monday Night Football. I have to go with the Sabres, but I will be spending some time flicking the channels to the other games.
  2. . . . the number of wives.
  3. Some people do not remember (or know) what it was like to go 0 for the '70s against that f***ing team and lose in every possible way.
  4. Roscoe is so fast none of us could even see him run the ball on the carry that he had yesterday.
  5. Did you see Curb Your Enthusiasm last night?
  6. Because of his experience, he was much more comfortable at the line of scrimmage calling audibles and in the pocket. With any luck, JP will display the same as he gets more experience. I also would like to see what both QBs could do with better protection. Once the Dolphins decided to bring the heat, our line had some real problems. I really hope that the line can get it together once MW and CV get healthy. Otherwise, look forward to seeing 8 or more guys in the box and a short passing attack. We really have to find a way to loosen things up. Otherwise, Willis is going to get killed.
  7. It seems that the one club is motivated by an irrational hatred for Bledsoe whereas the other club has questioned why the Bills and some on this board chose to blame all of our offensive problems on one player and make him the scapegoat for larger issues (as has so amply been demonstrated this season).
  8. Nice average. 77 yards per carry.
  9. It is quite humorous that the Bledsoe Haters Club on this board had no problem posting about him after the first Cowboys' preseason game or after the first quarter of their game against the Chargers.
  10. Having to answer questions from media types is not one of his favorite things to do. You may recall some of the testy press conferences that he has had in the past. I would have loved to see how he would have responded to someone like Jerry Sullivan.
  11. It is probably killing Jerry Sullivan and the Haters Club on this board that he is proving them wrong.
  12. I just wish JP could have played as "badly" the last three weeks as DB played last week. If you were to say that DB had an average game last week against the Raiders (as opposed to above average), I probably would not take issue with that. But to say that he played badly is just not correct. All you have to do is look at weeks 2 through 4 of the Bills games to see what "bad" QB play looks like.
  13. If I recall correctly, Thurman always kept his helmet at a certain spot under the bench just before games. I think someone else moved it without him knowing it. When he went to go get it, it was not there. Anyway, that is my recollection.
  14. He deserves to get in as much as any player on any of our Super Bowl teams. Without his versatility, the K-gun would not have been as succesful as it was. He could run, catch, and also pass block. He was the best all round back that the Bills have ever had -- and that is saying a lot, because we have had some pretty good backs.
  15. You mean like important divisional games against the best team in the NFC. Or against the Steelers to get the Pats in the Super Bowl. Or getting into the Super Bowl with the Pats when Parcells was there.
  16. You are 100% correct. It is nice to see some sanity on this board when it comes to the issue of DB.
  17. Actually, it was above average. It was not great, but it was certainly not as bad as some of the stinkers that we have seen this year while watching the Bills.
  18. It was a clutch kick. Without it, the Dolphins would not have had to try to score a TD at the end of the game and who knows what would have happened. You have to give RL credit.
  19. The key was getting that last field goal which forced them to try to score a touchdown. Who knows whether they would have even called that play if they only had to go for the field goal. Even if they did not fumble, they still had to get the TD. Having said that, I was sweating bullets until we got the fumble. Actually, I was sweating bullets until the clock was at 00:00.
  20. I was happy to read his comments. He seems to have put it in perspective.
  21. We were right here.
  22. It obviously is a must win against a division opponent.
  23. He is just disappointed that we won. He also is extremely pissed that he has been so wrong about the QB position. His article today was really pathetic. He essentially wrote that the Bills should be more interested in grooming JP rather than trying to win and that if we do not make the playoffs with anyone but JP as the starter, it will have have been a wasted move. After all of the articles that he wrote last year, he seems to have a lot emotionally invested in JP. It must be killing him that we won without him and that all of his diatribes about DB were so widely off the mark (as we have seen this year). JP seems like a good guy with potential. He just is not ready yet. It is the toughest position in football. I have no idea whether he will ever be the QB of the present or the future. Yet, you really cannot blame the Bills for seeing whether Holcomb could help get the team the win. Now that we have beaten the Dolphins, it looks like a good move. There is a lot of room for improvement, but this win over our most bitter rival was a lot better than what we have seen the past three weeks. There is now some hope where there was little after last week. Don't worry, JS will find something to whinge about. He always does.
  24. The question becomes why didn't we upgrade our o-line as we should have a long time ago.
  25. The guy knows what he is doing and can flat out coach.
