  1. Thanks for posting this. As an aside, I always thought that Robert Downey, Jr. did a great job in Chaplin.
  2. After all of the bitching and moaning and blaming other people, this is pretty funny. I wonder what his excuse is now. I recall listening to him on Sirius prior to his first "pro day" trying to explain why he had to delay it. He did not sound particularly convincing to me then. I remember being surpised because he supposedly was such a "quality" kid based on what Chip Smith had previously said. Oh well. I wonder if this guy was always this slow or his times are the result of his injuries. In any event, this is good news. He had no business being chosen at 11. If we can get him later in the draft as a value pick, that would be great. I suppose that will depend on how the Bills evaluate his "football" speed and skills as opposed to his straight line speed.
  3. They are converting him to wide receiver.
  4. NFL.Com linky on Kelly Pro Day with Results
  5. I view this as good news. We have no business picking him at 11 anyway. The farther he drops, the better. Pick him up later if the value is there.
  6. I bought tickets through the PJ fan club pre-sale for the show in South Florida. The ticketmaster tickets do not go on sale until tomorrow. PJ does something pretty interesting with their fan club pre-sale. They give the fan club members who have been members before a prior date the opportunity to buy the tickets. Once the transaction goes through they confirm whether you were able to get tickets. They guaranty that they work their way out from the first row going back. Here is the catch. They do not tell you where your tickets are until you pick up the tickets at will call and only the fan club member with a government issued id can pick up the tickets. You also can only buy two tickets. If it goes they way that they have promised, I think that it is great. The real fans get the first crack at the best seats and it prevents the scalping of those seats. I am looking forward to seeing them. The show down here is on June 11. By the way, I paid $74 per ticket.
  7. I was using that phrase as a euphemism.
  8. You know what they say about small hands . . . . . . . small gloves.
  9. You have to get permission. It is the code. You have to ask whether it is ok to date her. I had a similar situation happen to me several years ago. Long story short, I asked permission, but did not get it, and the girl ended up getting pissed off at me because she did not understand why her ex would be in a position to decide. I kicked myself in the rear for a long time after that. This girl was not only beautiful, but very refined and someone that I could see spending a long, long time with. In any event, it was the right thing to do. I was able to live with myself. I ended up meeting my wife, and we have two great sons now. If you do not ask permission, be prepared to lose a friend and, perhaps, some of your mutual friends. That happened with a guy I knew. People get pissed, end up hating each other, and then the mutual friends are put in a position of taking sides.
  10. Good. I really like that show.
  11. I cannot wait for the thousand of tourists form all over the world to come to Buffalo just so that they can go to Bass Pro Shop.
  12. Truer words have never been spoken.
  13. He would be a knockout. Sorry. I could not resist.
  14. Aaaaaaaaa. Adriana. There is not a more beautiful woman in the world.
  15. Nice find.
  16. Losing Bill Polian was probably the single biggest mistake the Bills have ever made. Thanks Jeff Littman.
  17. Good teams get better by taking good players -- not by reaching 16 slots.
  18. I like Guy as well. Unfortunately, he has his own issues right now.
  19. I was asking about people's opinion. Right or wrong, people have opinions -- as reflected on this board every day.
  20. I have never met the guy, but I know some people who do. By all accounts, both Tiger and his wife are two of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.
  21. For the most part, it seems that people typically fall one way or the other on this issue. Typically, if people were for the war from the beginning, they are for the surge. People who were against the war are also against the surge for the most part. I was vehemently against the war from the time W and his administration started beating the war drums against Iraq. Yet, I am in favor of the surge. As much as I was against the war, I do believe that we have a responsibility to create some stability. We opened up Pandora's box and have, in my view, created a more dangerous situation for the US. than existed in the days of the no fly zone. I was curious whether there are any other people on this board who are in favor of the surge, but were against the war.
  22. The other goalie (Nadeau) got the last laugh. I believe his team was up 7-1 at the time. Also, Roy does not appear to be much of a goaltender. He has a 3.96 goals-against average and .866 save percentage.
  23. There was an interesting article a little while ago that goes through JM's voting history. I think that it may have been written by David Brooks of the NYT, but I do not recall specifically. Basically, JM's voting history has shown that he has been rather independent regardless of any support that he may have received from the telecom industry.
