I, for one, am going to miss Takeo. He wanted to play for the Bills. He played hard and with a lot of energy. It is a shame he sustained that injury. Marv and Dick are certainly leaving their mark on this team. They have gotten rid (or are about to get rid) of a lot of players from the prior regime. It will be interesting to see where we are at after the draft, in camp, and during the coming season.

To those of you who question his football ability, I have a sneaking suspicion that you did not see him play that much. The Hurricanes were pretty awful this past year -- particularly the offense. The offensive line could not protect and the wide outs were average at best. Defenses essentially focused on trying to take Olsen out of the game by doubling him etc. The guys is a football player. There is no doubt about that. His combine just reinforced that he has skills that go along with his football ability. He is going to make the NFL team that drafts him very happy. I would love for the Bills to get him, but we have other glaring weaknesses (RB, LB, D line, and CB). There should be an outstanding player that fills one of those needs with the 12th pick. After that, if we can get him by getting back into the first round again, I would not complain at all. Greg Olsen would do wonders for our QB.

You are correct. I meant to say another pick in the first round. 12 is too early for us to pick him given our needs, but if we could package a couple of later picks (like we did last year with McCargo) and get another pick in the second half of the first round (if he is still available), he would be a great addition to the Bills.

That third period was great. We just wore them out. It should be an interesting game tomorrow.

I would certainly give the Niners the same compensation that AJ wants for Turner in exchange for Gore. Let the Niners draft Lynch.

I am glad that I am not a fan of the Texans. They pass up Bush and Young last year and say they are committed to the guys they have. Almost a year later, they get swindled in a trade for a back up QB who has never won a game. The guy may end up being great, but they sure gave up a lot given what Schaub actually has done on the field. The next day, they cut Carr and Rhodes/Williams and get zippo in return. If Carr goes to a team that can actually protect him, I think that he can be pretty darn good. Unfortunately, he has been treated like a punching bag since he has been in the NFL.

You are mostly correct. Adam Sandler was the emergency guest host on Tuesday. On Wednesday, they had a show that was actually shot on Monday (before Letterman got sick and before Larry Bud died). Dave's first night back is on Monday because of the regionals.

The key to not "dancing" is having holes for the RB to run through. With any luck, our new line will give whoever the RB is some holes to run through.

Marty got a new one with the Sabres colors etc. He tried it out for a few games but was uncomfortable with it -- there was something about the mask itself that hindered his visibility. In the end, because he had success with the white one, I think that he just continued to wear that one and did not worry about it.

My wife and I went to Australia a few years ago. We loved the country and the people. If you have not been, I thoroughly would recommend it. P.S. While we were there, we went to the Australia Zoo and met Steve, Terri, and Bindi Irwin as well as Terri's parents. They could not have been nicer to us.

On a related note, I think that he is doing a pretty good job on the NFL Network. He seems like a great guy. When Thurman was on, Marshall was effusive in his praise for TT and said that Ted Marchibroda gave him all of TT's game tapes to help him in the NFL.

Dave will be back on Monday. It should be interesting to see what they do and what Dave says about Larry Bud.
