  1. Roscoe was not a first round pick.
  2. . . . except that Gailey has not dropped any footballs as Ted Jr. has with the Dolphins.
  3. Exactly. That is what I was thinking. They are probably lucky that they did not pick Quinn, because they would have had to pay him a lot more money.
  4. My view is you take the best player on the board (or trade down) and don't reach. Suppose the Bills have Spiller as a top five talent and only have Clausen (or whoever else you want them to pick at that spot) as a late first round or second round pick on their board, why would they ever pick Clausen (or whatever player) at number nine. I have confidence that this group is not going to reach like the other guys. They will either trade back or stay true to the board. In the end, if they do that and the pick happens to be Spiller (or whoever else), I will not have a problem.
  5. They all wanted Brady Quinn.
  6. I doubt this very, very much. Those that live down here know that the people and press have beat up the Dolphins pretty good for not signing Brees. There have been articles in the paper and segments on local sportscasts. The reason that is mentioned as the reason that they did not pick him is that the medical staff did not give the GM and coach at the time the comfort that they needed given that Brees was coming off that injury to his shoulder. Prior to reading your post, I have never heard anyone in Miami blame Chan Gailey or mention Ray Lucas. In fact, the Dolphins went after Culpepper instead.
  7. He did. He came down here to Miami. [sorry, I could not resist. It actually is pretty nice down here for the most part.]
  8. How do we factor in the plays that TO took off, had crisco on his hands, or had alligator arms?
  9. I saw every one of the games that Reggie Wayne played in college. I have seen many of his games as a Colt. Reggie Wayne is a much better and much more complete WR than Lee Evans. [P.S. I also have seen Reggie go over the middle.]
  10. I thought that maybe because the Bills pay him a lot of money to be a professional would be the reason he would.
  11. That certainly a possible scenario. Perhaps to Houston or Dallas so that he can be closer to his family.
  12. Shhh. Not so loud. They may hear you in Tampa.
  13. On a related note, our highest ranked offensive lineman (according to the site) just retired. It is a shame that Butler is not coming back.
  14. Lee Evans on Indy would have to learn to run more routes and go over the middle.
  15. Because of this, I think that TB should just be forced to give us the pick. Seems fair.
  16. Just like most people on this board.
  17. Before he ate his way out of the league, I was convinced MW was going to be a good one. He made one of the best catches for a TD in college that I have seen with one hand. He had some talent. He also apparently had an appetite.
  18. We were pretty bad last year . . . unfortunately not bad enough to be in a position to pick Suh. He would have been a great player for the Bills.
  19. The key for us is going to be the revenue sharing piece. As I understand it, under the most recent agreement (the one that Paul T. championed and that Ralph and Brown voted against), the amount of revenue from which a percentage was shared with the players was different from (higher) than the amount of revenue that the teams shared among themselves.
  20. Clausen and Quinn do seem to have at least one similar attribute: Clausen Quinn What is it with the recent ND QBs? [My apologies to all of the ND lovers out there breathlessly wanting the Bills to pick Clausen, but I could not resist]
  21. Apparently, there are a lot of Steeler players who are happy to see Holmes go. Link I have no doubt that Whaley knew all about Holmes from his day in Pittsburgh and, accordingly, the Bills wanted nothing to do with him.
  22. I am 48 and always have felt the same way. I actually DVR both the NFL Network and ESPN so I do not miss any of the comments about the Bills. I already warned my wife that the draft begins on a Thursday night.
  23. It was Bradford they were worried about NOT Clausen (according to the story)
  24. In Mayock's last rankings, he had him ranked 20th (FWIW)
  25. Is that also the way that swimmers pose when they are racing?!? [Just having some fun]
