  1. Kelly also said in the same interview that he would not take any QBs from California (which makes no sense) and that he would take Tebow (a guys from Florida). Jim was a great QB. No question. He seems to have forgotten that he originally refused to sign with the Bills (at least in part) because he thought that we had a horrible line at that time. I got news for Jim, our line last year was not any worse than that line.
  2. Ice, I am well aware of your views. We disagree on this one.
  3. I agree that he should be given a chance to compete for the starting job. I would love to see what he could do behind a quality line. If they are not going to rebuild the line, it really does not make much difference who is back there. There obviously is a difference of opinion on this board. I am all for letting Trent compete for the starting job. The game is won or lost at the line of scrimmage. That is where we have to place our priorities in rebuilding this team.
  4. I feel the same way. I live in Florida and renewed my tickets.
  5. Great program. That team always has great sports programs on HBO. As for Magic and Bird, Gumbel had it correct. They saved the NBA - not Jordan. I barely watch it now. I don't find it particularly interesting anymore.
  6. It is . . . as long as the QB gets protection and is not getting the sh*t get kicked out of him. One of the best QBs in the league is Brady. We all saw what happened to him when he did not get protection.
  7. The Jets are going to blitz even more than they did last year. We better figure out a way to block for our QB (whoever that might be).
  8. A few that come to mind now: Ralph Feinnes Jean Reno Gary Oldman Jean-Hughes Anglade Tcheky Karyo Zooey Deschanel Paz Vega
  9. This does not surprise me. HIS mother should have named him Terdell.
  10. My only question is what was his mother thinking when she named him?
  11. This was my favorite move today. Sorry, I could not resist.
  12. That is the part that bothers me about Kane (not to mention the off ice stuff). He really needs to clean up that part of his game.
  13. Congrats to our Canadian brothers. We had you guys worried for a while there. In the end, we lost, but we are definitely getting there. I cannot say we should have won the game today, but we could have. We have a young group of guys and a solid team. P.S. For what it is worth, if Canada had to win in overtime, I wish it had been anyone else but Crosby who scored the goal. It is too bad we left him all alone in front of Miller.
  14. I will not miss TO. I was excited when we signed him, but he was a disappointment. He took plays off. He had alligator arms. I believe he was disruptive behind the scenes and threw TE under the bus. I also think that he would have signed with anyone who would have paid him $1 more than anything we would have offered him. I will miss Reed. I thought that he played hard. He had pretty good hands and made some clutch catches. He was a good complimentary receiver. We now have a solid number 2 receiver in Evans. (Yeah, I know some of you guys are in love with him). Maybe Chan can get more out of him. I hope.
  15. I fully expect these very talented players to flip and flop (oops) and dare I say run Miller. We shall see.
  16. If they move to LA (or anywhere else), they will no longer be WE. I would think that would be pretty obvious.
  17. Amstel has been around here for a while. He has no reason to make things up. He is just repeating what a friend of his told him. Take it for what it is worth.
  18. FWIW, it pissed me off that all of the Canadian fans at the game yesterday were rooting so loudly against the US. I typically would not root against Canada for the sake of rooting against Canada, but it really pissed me off that Canadians were so vocal in rooting against the US as I suspect they will be in the game against Finland. I suppose it might be because they are worried about playing against us.
  19. He loves his nieces to pieces. P.S. I am really surprised that this thread has lasted as long as it has without anyone mentioning George Siefert.
  20. I remember reading rumors (I think on PFT) that the Bills were worried about him as early as the OTA's last year. The guy has not shown anything on the pro level and had a limited body of work at the collegiate level. He may end up being great or may end up being a bust. So far, there really is not anything from his time with the Bills that would indicate that he was anything other than a huge reach. I hope he ends up being worth a first round pick. The onus is definitely on him.
  21. You just described our first round pick last year. As for Gerhardt, I would not complain if we picked him up in the second or third round (preferably third). We have too many other holes though. I doubt he will be available in the third. I do think that he would be a good back for the kind of weather we have.
  22. The important point is that his mechanics were always an issue. When Tebow decided to go back for his senior year, he did Urban Meyer a huge favor. The suggestion is that Meyer should have done more in the past year to improve Tebow's mechanics. It is my understanding that they did hire a former NFL QB coach, but it appears that nothing really happened with that. I have no idea what was the reason why it appears that his mechanics are the same now as they always were. Was it Tebow's fault? Was it Meyer's fault? Did Meyer have him use the same mechanics with the idea that they are good enough for the Gator offense without regard to how this may effect Tebow's position in the draft? I would be very interested to hear from anyone who follows the Gators closely who may have more insight.
  23. I should have mentioned KNVB (the Dutch national team) as well. My wife is from there.
  24. Bills, Sabres, Miami Hurricanes, Yankees, Mets, Arsenal.
