  1. So far, I am very happy with Buddy. I like his attitude.
  2. I agree with the original post.
  3. Unless and until we have an NFL quality offensive line, we really do not know what we have and it will not make much difference who the QB is. I am one of the few (at least on this board) who thinks Edwards can be a good QB. Whether that ship has sailed in the eyes of Buddy and Chan, I have no idea. Nevertheless, let's not fool ourselves. Whether we draft a QB, trade for a QB, sign a free agent QB, or keep what we have, we sure as sh*t better improve our line.
  4. We love you too Gregg.
  5. Apparently, he was hired by Ravens
  6. I was surprised by some of the non calls as well -- especially the high low that the Saints pulled on Favre.
  7. Great guy. I wish he were still on the Bills, but I am very happy for him.
  8. Definition of Coach
  9. Well said.
  10. Gee, this is where people come to get depressed. I am going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt now. I loved what he had to say about fundamentals and blocking and tackling. I have a feeling we are finally going to fix our offensive and defensive lines. That is where you win games.
  11. If you have any doubt about why a quality offensive line is critical (and critical to the success of a QB and skill position players), watch the Pats-Ravens game. Brady was not so Brady-like this weekend. Even a multiple Super Bowl winning QB will play poorly when he has people in his grill. He had a 49.1 QB rating. This also shows why it is important to be able to pressure the QB. If the Bills want to win, they need to concentrate on building the offensive and defensive lines. It will not make any difference who our QB is until we fix the line. Building our lines this off season is much more important than drafting a QB with a high pick.
  12. If you want to win, do what the Jets and other teams have done -- build an NFL quality offensive line.
  13. I am too lazy to read through this string and have no idea if someone else mentioned this, but their is another explaination. It appears that the Seahawks really want Pete Carroll. It could be that Frazier knows this has no interest in serving as their Rooney Rule interviewee.
  14. Was he talking to Col. Hogan?
  15. Either they do not care about it being off the record or it was not off the record. What is it with WGR.
  16. Another reason to root against the Redskins - Snyder being the other one.
  17. I feel the same way. I hate the Cowboys, but I really like Wade. He is a very good coach, and I wish we never got rid of him. Someone mentioned that he would be a good neighbor. When he was in Buffalo, he was a neighbor of some good friends in East Amherst. Our friends said that he and his wife were great neighbors. By coincidence, Scotty Bowman lived on the same street. Scotty also was a good neighbor and invited all the neighborhood kids over when he won the Stanley Cup.
  18. FWIW - As some of you know, I now live in Miami and am a Canes fan. A friend of mine played college ball at Brown with the Canes' OC, Whipple. Prior to the Georgia Tech game, Whipple could not say enough about Morgan. I made it a point to watch him during that game. He is a monster. I have no idea how well he will do on the next level, but he certainly is a great college player.
  19. Some on this board have said that the Bills should pick Pike. I do not agree. Nevertheless, compare the protection each QB is getting. Gee, I wonder if there is a correlation between good protection and effective QB play. As an aside, it is hard not to admire Tebow. Yet, take a look at where he starts his motion. The funny thing is, as I recall, UF hired a former NFL QB coach in the off season to help improve his mechanics. I guess that did not happen.
  20. I would add one other person to the list of former coaches: Dan Reeves. As far as the age thing goes, he is one year younger than Marty so that really is not an issue. My A+ list of former NFL head coaches: Cowher and Gruden. My A list of former NFL head coaches/current college head coaches: Marty, Dan Reeves, Harbaugh. My B list of former head coaches: Fassel, Billick, Fox (if he is let go), Weis. My A list of assistants: Zimmer, Grimm, Brian S.
  21. To quote Buddy Nix: "It is hard to throw the ball when you are lying on your back." The number one priority is to put together an NFL quality line that can punish defenses in Buffalo weather. In my opinion, Trent is not starting because Evans and Owens threw him under the bus. In my view, Evans never liked Edwards because of his man love for Losman. Owens did so because that is what TO does. Neither one of them (much like many on this board) were able to see the forest from the trees. In the end, it will not make any difference who we have back there until we upgrade the line. My hope is that we spend our resources (picks and dollars) on upgrading the offensive line and run defense; let TO walk (he does not want to be in Buffalo anyway) and spend that money somewhere else; build a team that is strong at the point of attack and can play in Buffalo weather.
  22. That is the way that I interpreted it and, I think, the way that Buddy intended it.
  23. Me too. I am confident that we will pick well and with a purpose. I am excited.
