  1. I am trying to figure out what is worse: (1) the Bills in Buffalo and being tortured year after year; or (2) the Bills going somewhere else and, as result, relieving me of the torture and freeing up all of my Sundays and the time I spend on this board. Obviously, I want the Bills to stay in Buffalo, and I wish Ralph a long, happy life. I just cannot wait to see something on the field and management and ownership that will make me believe that we can repeat the success that we have had in the late '80s and early 90's. In the meantime, get rid of these horrible unis. Why would he or any other QB who has a choice in the matter want to play behind this piss poor offensive line.
  2. That is the sense that I get. Trent also was voted captain by his teammates. It is going to be interesting to see how this all plays out (especially between those who believe that Trent was being made a scapegoat and at least one guy who has been working to undermine him the past few years). The good that comes out of this is that maybe, just maybe, the Trent haters on this board can finally admit that we have as bad of an offensive line as there is in the NFL. If these guys don't get better (or we bring better players in), it is just going to be more of the same.
  3. How depressing . . . .
  4. That is the sense that I have. There is only one guy who I know of who tried to undermine him (other than TO last year). I have a feeling that the things that Fred Jackson, CJ (and even Thurman) are saying are representative of most of the team. In any event, it is what it is. Let's hope we can move forward and somehow return to the glory years -- which are now a very distant memory.
  5. Whether you think Trent Edwards was a good QB with potential or you think that he was horrible, the whole affair makes the Bills look like jokers. It is going to be interesting to find out what the back story is. I have a feeling I know what it is, but let's wait to find out what comes out of OBD in the coming weeks. The sober reality is that we are definitely in search (yet again) of the QB of the future. It is a shame the Bills traded to get JP when Rodgers would have dropped into our laps the next year. The only problem is that I am sure we would have destroyed him just as we have done with with pretty much every other QB . . . . The danger with drafting a QB high in the first round (as we are now likely to do) is that there is absolutely no room for error. If we swing and miss, it could hurt the franchise even more. I really hope that whatever we do, we put together an NFL caliber offensive line. We are not doing anyone any favors with the group that we have now. It will be especially important with any young QB that the Bills bring in. Just my two cents.
  6. Not what I would call small . . . Katy is a somewhat lesser version of Zooey D (who I find particularly attractive). Katy is cute, and I would not describe her as small (or whatever word was used to describe her). FWIW, I mostly listen to classic rock (Beatles, Led Zep, Doors, Stones etc) and U2 and some other present day bands. The point is that Katy and singers like her are not the types of singers to whom I would typically listen. In any event, she was on Letterman a little while ago. Her voice was fine for a pop singer and she definitely was not lip synching.
  7. Serious question for a serious problem.
  8. Are you referring to the Jay Cutler who lead the league in interceptions last year?
  9. Tom Brady's stats against Ravens in a game in which he felt the kind of pressure that Bills seem to face all of the time. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=300110017 I would just like to give a Buffalo Bills QB (for that matter any Buffalo Bills QB) half a chance to succeed by putting an actual NFL line in front of him. We have had not had one of those in years and years. I know a lot of guys on this board are fixated on one position, but unless and until we fix the real problem (in my view) we probably should not expect much from the offense -- whoever the QB is.
  10. You guys are unbelievable. Of course the guy was surprised. He is being made the scapegoat for the whole offense. Fred Jackson's quote shows that Fred has a lot more class than Lee Evans. Trent also showed a lot of class by saying how much he cares for "this team" and "this organization." Of course, the haters will make of it as they will. Maybe one day when my kids have kids, the Buffalo Bills will recognize that we need to have an NFL quality offensive line and whoever the QB and RBs are at that time will be the beneficiaries. It has been freaken years since I was confident about our offensive line. Just my two cents. Don't let me interrupt your circle jerk.
  11. The rumor was that he would put himself on IR if the Vikings lost their next few games. I wonder if he has just lost all passion for the game and is doing this sooner rather than later.
  12. Does this mean that Steve is not going into the Hall of Fame this year? Other than the fact that the ball went through his hands . . . .
  13. I would have loved to have seen what he could have done behind an NFL quality line. Unfortunately, no Buffalo Bills QB has played behind an NFL quality in many, many years. The whole thing is a broken record.
  14. There were a lot of people who had serious doubts about Maybin. Unfortunately, the Bills did not start having doubts until after they drafted him.
  15. I completely understand your frustration. Nevertheless, I will continue to watch the games, but will continue to get sick to my stomach every time I watch our aptly named "offensive" line fail to protect the QB and open up holes in the run game-- especially in comparison what I see from opposing teams lines (of course, it does not help that our defensive line is not very good).
  16. I have confidence in Chan and Buddy, but this is a panic move. I know I am in the minority on this board, but (in my opinion), this is nothing more than making someone a scapegoat where the primarly problems are elsewhere. Just my two cents.
  17. How could he be any worse than Cornell Green?
  18. Exactly. That was the problem. Good teams do not waste picks reaching for players.
  19. CJ will be just fine. We just have to figure out how to give the guy some space.
  20. Our wide outs are not the best group in the NFL. We also do not have a true number 1 who can do it all. It also does not seem that they fight for the ball. Having said all that, it is a bit more complicated than that. One of the issues that most be folded into all of this is whether the pass protection is good enough to consistently allow the Bills to run the routes that they want including patterns that take longer to develop. The answer is clearly no.
  21. Your statement would be true if the Bills had actually assembled an NFL ready offensive line in front of him. Other than that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln?
  22. This board says blame everything on the QB (as it has done for years) and the Bills replace the QB. Whoever the Bills put in there at QB (this year, next year, or any other year) they are not doing him any favors with the offensive line that we put on the field.
  23. I know one guy who got f*cked.
  24. I would say it somewhat differently. In my mind, this move ignores the true problem with the team - the same problem that has been our problem for the past several years. Instead of addressing the problem of the offensive line head on, the Bills decided to make one guy the scapegoat. We will continue to be a piss poor team until the offensive line is fixed - no matter who the QB is.
  25. He has the easiest job in the world. There has not been that much quality to control.
