  1. . . . and Sully wonders why Mario has little interest in speaking with him and some of the others.
  2. Welcome to the NFL.
  3. It clearly was a fumble and a TD. If it were not, it should have been intentional grounding.
  4. Sullivan's article has both compliments and (true to form) backhanded compliments. Sullivan also does what he and other members of the Buffalo media do - presume to speak for the "fans" or know what the "fans" think/believe. Typically, when he and others do this, it is an artifice for them to pass off what they themselvees think as what the fans think.
  5. Certain members of the Buffalo media and members of this board showed an incredible lack of football knowledge by failing to (or refusing to) understand and appreciate this at the time.
  6. Some people in the Buffalo media wanted to run him out of town because he had his own refrigerator. (oh, the horror . . . .) Hint: One of them was the same guy who wanted the Bills to cut Marcell Dareus.
  7. I think that David Beckham is probably too old to start playing American football at this point. If one of our kickers goes down, maybe we should consider it. As for Odell, I will repeat the same thing that I have said before: 1. I love Sammy Watkins; 2. I am very glad that Sammy is on our team; 3. Ray Farmer completely out-negotiated Doug Whaley - including that bit about having to take another call; 4. We gave up far more than the Dolphins did the year before to move up both higher in the draft and more spots; 5. How I continue to feel about the trade will hinge on where we finish; 6. Did I mention that I love Sammy Watkins? No matter how badly Farmer out negotiated Whaley, I am glad Sammy is on the team, and none of us should hold the trade against Sammy - no matter what your view of the trade is.
  8. I am glad that I subscribed to both the Sunday and Monday Ticket. It certainly was the correct decision to make. Not allowing Directv to televise the game would only have made a bad situation worse.
  9. I know a lot of people don't like Leodis. I always feel compelled to defend the guy. He works hard, seems like a good teammate, and is a lot better than some give him credit for. We are going to miss him.
  10. I remember when people were complaining about the replacement refs. I was fine with them. I thought the criticism was way overboard. The one thing I liked about them was that it did not appear they were playing favorites. They were just trying to do the best they could.
  11. Great post. As an aside, I wish that the Bills/Orton would have focused more on getting the first down rather than the repeated shots to the end zone on the second to last drive. Of course, hindsight is 20/20.
  12. Chelski or Spuds?!?!?! Oh boy. Go Gunners!
  13. I have no interest in drafting this guy - regardless of round. In addition to questions regarding his character, I am not sure he is that great. I know many on this board will disagree, but I would rather continue to develop EJ behind Kyle Orton than draft Jameis. At least with EJ, you have a GREAT kid who is willing to work and has no character issues. He also has a lot of talent - his talent needs to be developed to the NFL level. It may never develop that far, but at least we know that EJ will be a good teammate whether he is a backup or starting QB.
  14. Dennis was and is a class act. As for the other dutchman, RVP, he is dead to me. I also must say that, as much as I love Arsene, he committed a huge blunder by not bringing Cesc back and letting him go to Chelski and Mou. People claimed Cesc was surplus. I just don't understand how a world class player like Cesc could ever be surplus - especially when Arsenal has its annual injury crisis. He also would be our best midfielder (including Ozil). Sorry, I had to vent. It kills me to see Cesc playing for Chelski. I just hope that, if we ever get healthy, we can get back on track. Alexis is fantastic, and I like the addition of Welbeck. Both those players work hard and every ball matters to them. I also like the Debuchy signing, but, of course, he is hurt. I also have to admit that I like Giroud and think it will be interesting to see how Giroud and Welbeck play together if and when Arsene has them play together. With some of the injured players coming back, it will be interesting to see how the pieces fit together.
  15. That is great. Where do you live currently? I am down here in Miami. We actually have a fairly large Arsenal supporters club down here. I know there is one in Buffalo. When I am home for Christmas, I am planning on attending some games where they meet. They go to a place on Hertel called Mes Que (I have never been there). As an aside, the short explanation as to how I became an Arsenal supporter is that my wife is Dutch. I started following the Dutch national team (KNVB) and became a huge fan of Dennis Bergkamp. As a result, I started to become a fan of Arsenal and fell in love with the club. A few years ago, I became a red member and started going to games. The Emirates is a great atmosphere.
  16. I love this thread and discussion. This is an example of how good TBD can be.
  17. I am planning on going (or at least trying to go). It could be a great weekend. I also am a fan of Arsenal. With any luck, Arsenal will be home that weekend and the games will not conflict. London is a great city with plenty of things to do. I do not look at this as some kind of catastrophe as others may. I see it as an opportunity to see my two favorite "football" teams live and in person in one of the great cities in the world.
  18. I am planning on attending. Of course, it is easier for me given that I live down here.
  19. . . . or 53 yards forward.
  20. Not exactly. You are correct about one thing - when you have complained about the inability of the interior of our line to run block. You got that part right. Carry on. I will let you get the last word in . . . .
  21. I did, didn't I. I was worried about you and whether you would be able to continue your crusade while CJ is injured. You found a way. Crusaders will crusade . . . .
  22. I had a feeling I would find you here carrying on your crusade.
  23. Your post made me think of the Bas Rutten/Brian Urlacher story: http://thebiglead.co...ake-it-outside/ (around 4 minute mark of clip) Urlacher was about to make a huge mistake if it were not for his friends. There is a life lesson to be learned from this story. As an aside, I think Bas seems like a great guy. It would have been funny if Bas and Urlacher actually "took it outside."
