Patriots worked out Glenn Gronkowski...
Peter replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Pure genius. Why didn't the Bills think of cutting him while he was with the Pats. When is someone at One Bills Drive going to be held accountable. -
McCoy asks Bills fans to be respectful of Kaepernick
Peter replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even though I do not agree with how Kaep has gone about this, I think Shady's message is a good one. As someone else said, a respectful way to disagree with Kaep would be to chant USA USA or something like that . . . rather than yell or scream something that someone will construe as something else and would not reflect well on Buffalo. Chants of USA USA while Kaep is trying to communicate on the field cannot (or should not) be construed negatively toward the fans and seems to strike the right balance. Just my two cents. -
The "Rex ruined Mario Williams" crowd looks pretty silly...
Peter replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How dare the Dolphins and Gase ask Mario to play the run as well. -
Exactly.

On the same day we hear the good news that Sammy does not need surgery and should be back this year, we are blindsided with Jack Eichel getting hurt a day before the first game of the year and 8 to 10 minutes from the end of practice. Wow. Just wow.

Sammy Watkins to get opinion on foot, season likely over
Peter replied to pbanach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually think it is pretty cool that he is wearing a Bills t-shirt. Get well Sammy. -
Where is FireRex and his constituents??
Peter replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the jury is still out and it is a long season . . . Weren't those thoughts even more pertinent before the season and during the first few weeks of the season when certain posters were posting endless posts arguing that Rex had to go . . . . It is a long season. I look forward to a season when this board is not overflowing with posts pushing the anti Rex narrative. Just my two cents. -
The Factory of Sadness Continues: Josh McCown Out
Peter replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Playing QB for the Browns this year is probably one of those high risk things (like jumping out of airplanes) for which insurers will not insure. Wow. -

When people stop posting about: (1) our DC from two years ago; or (2) complaining that Rex ruined the Buffalo Bills defense then there might be some credence to the premise that posts about a guy who "played" for us last year and now plays for a division rival are beating a dead horse. Maybe. -
Odd. The teams (which are the NFL) should push back on this.
-
Florio (PFT) is trying to push narrative that the Bills coaches instigated this. Florio and PFT have a history of bias in favor of the Pats and deleting posts challenging PFT's take on the Pats etc.. I posted the following. I wonder whether it will be deleted. How can you try to push narrative that the Bills or Buffalo coaches "instigated" this when: (1) It is undeniable that the NFL has a rule that prohibited the Pats (or any team) from running on to the side of the field where the Bills were warming up; (2) It is undeniable that the Pats broke this rule (surprise surprise) by running on to the Bills side of the field. For your reasoning to make any sense, one also would have to believe that: (1) The Buffalo Bills coaching staff was able to predict the future (that the Pats would break the rules); or (2) We should all expect the Pats to break the rules. Hmmmmmm

Patriots Release G Jonathan Cooper; Claimed by Browns

When is someone from One Bills Drive going to be held accountable for this? Oh, never mind . . . . -

You are correct. I just read the ESPN the Magazine on Belichick. As much as I dislike the Pats, I do respect Belichick and what he has accomplished (notwithstanding all of the other stuff). In the article, it mentioned how the crowd in Cleveland (when he lost his last game there) was chanting "Bill must go." This made me automatically think about what would have happened here on this board and the twin brain trust of Sully and Bucky. They would have been screaming for Belichick's head. It just goes to show you that there is a lot to be said for that old proverb about being careful what you wish for . . . . . -
He certainly has talent. He certainly has the gunslinger mentality. Nevertheless, some of his decisions both on and off the field may be bad for my blood pressure. P.S. I am not all worked up about the little bit I saw on the video. At least not yet. I am not sure exactly what happened other than it appears Casey Kelly was on the ground and Chad went on the field but did not appear to hit anyone or anything like that. Frankly, I am more pissed off about the NFL apparently giving the Pats players and assistant coach a free pass.
-
If this turns out the way it has been reported this afternoon, the NFL is ignoring its own rule about pre-game and giving the Pats a pass. This is not a good precedent for the NFL to set. It will be interesting to see what happens when the next team runs though the other team's drills on the other side of the 50.

Does this mean we should fire Whaley or not fire Whaley? I cannot keep track at this point. P.S. If true, I am happy is back with the Bills rather than another team. He had some great games last year. -
By your "reasoning," one might argue that you have more of a link to him than Rex given that you repeatedly mentioned his name in this thread. Such "reasoning" would be flawed in either instance given that I trust that you have no link to that awful person David Duke.
-
What is the title of this thread: "Report: Bills locker room issues due to politics" What is the title of the PFT article? "Bills reportedly have a Trump-related schism" .
-
Your reference to David Duke says all one needs to know about your level of bias against Rex. Much better than I could have Jerry . . . I mean Gugny
-
Where on the field this past Sunday did you see that this negatively effected the team? Did the attendance on victory Monday support this narrative? No.

I do not want the US to be a country where both Rex AND Kap are not allowed to express their opinions I also do not want the US to be a country where the owners of a football team are criticized for "tolerating" an employee's political beliefs. The Pegulas are the reason there is no danger of the Bills moving to Toronto or LA or elsewhere. In my mind, that will always make them the best owners in professional sports. Has it? No.
