  1. I may be in the minority but I would not mind kicking the tires and finding out about his knee and what he can do. I also would not mind if the Bills signed Karlos Williams off the Steelers practice squad (if he has not been promoted already).
  2. Given that you and WEO do not appear to have read the original post, let me provide you the exact quotes: A prerequisite to commenting on nuance is reading comprehension. Once you get to nuance, you should realize that the point that I was making was in reference to complaints by members of the esteemed Buffalo media that the Pegulas are meddling owners.
  3. The improvements at the stadium are amazing and provide a much better atmosphere. I like Richt as well. I am hopeful about the upcoming recruiting class. The Canes are very good when they control South Florida at the expense of UF, FSU etc. When they ran into trouble because of issues with coaching and Nevin Shapiro, those programs and Alabama, Clemson, Louisville, LSU started having more success down here recruiting.
  4. The Evil Empire . . . .
  5. Have you seen the Entourage movie? There is a scene where Ari flies in a helicopter and meets the various members of the board etc. and confronts Travis McCredle: Ari Gold: Come on, Travis. You mean to tell me you didn't wait outside her house, after she told you goodnight, just to see if Vince showed up? Travis McCredle: He f*@%ing snuck in there after me. I put in a whole night. Ari Gold: Wow, I wasn't 100% sure I was right. I am beginning to fee like Ari Gold and more convinced that I may be correct that you are Bucky or someone that works at TBN or in the media.
  6. A question - I believe.
  7. I do not know whether we will get rolled on Sunday. I hope not. Nevertheless, I do predict that, if given the opportunity, Bill B and the Pats will try to embarrass us. As I recall, after spy gate, they did that in a night game - long after the game was decided, they went for it on fourth down and kept Brady in the game long after they should have taken him out (if for no other reason than to protect him from injury).
  8. Thanks for your contribution Bucky. P.S. It is ironic that you would use the word "crusade" in your earlier post in this thread. Hmmmm.
  9. As a Miami Hurricane fan, I agree with the premise about the Canes losing the recruiting war for Florida high school talent - at least not controlling it the way that we had - although that is in the process of changing. [Once the Canes control South Florida recruiting the way that we had, the program will return to where it was]. As for my point about CJ, if you saw those two games, there was not one player that was more important on the field than CJ Spiller. He was amazing in those games.
  10. Starter or not, I seem to recall CJ single handedly beating the Canes two years in a row.
  11. It is not an anti fan crusade at all. You may want to take another look at the original post where I singled out the "Buffalo media." There was no mention of you or any other "fan." The issue that I have is specifically with guys like Bucky who think that the Pegulas meddle. (Bucky seems to think that Kim should not have any responsibility other than choosing the drapes or something like that). That has been an issue both BEFORE and AFTER the meeting the Pegulas had with certain players a day or so before Rex decided to let Greg Roman go. My view all along has been that, if you pay over a BILLION dollars for something, you have the absolute right to speak with your employees . . . with or without the coaches present and especially when the coaches have no issue with it. Just my two cents.
  12. Jags Owner Shad Khan met with players and coaches to find out what was going on with the team that he spent millions of dollars on. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/10/26/jaguars-owner-meets-with-players-and-coaches/ http://www.news4jax.com/sports/nfl/jaguars/shad-khan-speaks-to-jaguars-seeks-answers The horror. After reading all of the fall out from the Buffalo media in reaction to the Pegulas meeting with certain players, I thought that there must have been some international law that prohibited this.
  13. This ^ Thank you for your thoughtful post.
  14. I will be disappointed as well if there is no fine. Nevertheless, after what the NFL did and did not do after the Pats game, nothing will surprise me . . . .
  15. I saw the heading "WRs against Patriots" My response: Yes, please.
  16. I remember when Eric Lindros used to swing his stick around and claim it was unintentional when someone got hurt. Landry had to know that there was a high likelihood of injury . . . whether he intended to hurt AW or just blow his head up.
  17. You know what he meant. AW is looking at the runner and Landry blew him up high knowing that AW did not see him. To me, that is the same thing substantively. The guy was not in a position to protect himself. Landry should have more respect for a fellow player. Period.
  18. As an aside, what is it with these receivers from LSU. Landry and Beckham seem like real . . . .
  19. This is the same over reaction that Jeremy has had on WGR. First, there is no obligation for the Bills to pay the $27.5 million if TT does not deserve it. Second, the Bills and TT can always re-negotiate this amount and his contract short of cutting him if he does not deserve this amount. I suspect that this will be renegotiated and the amount will come down.
  20. To those guys saying that we should have retaliated: (1) I was at the game. At the time, I did not see what had happened in real time. All I really knew was that Aaron Williams was down and hurt after the play. They did not show a replay at the stadium. I seriously doubt that the players on the field saw what happened. (2) When Aaron was down, the refs moved our players and their players away from each other. (3) If one of our guys on the field actually had seen what had happened and did something, I am sure it would have been our guy who got the flag. Having said all that, I do believe: (1) Whether you think the hit was outside the rules or not, a player does NOT do that to another player if he has any respect for the game or his fellow NFLPA members. (2) Landry should be concerned that the legal hits on him in the re-match just might have a little more impact than they otherwise would.
  21. It was dirty, he should have been ejected, and he should be fined. Yet, even if you do not agree with the above, you DO NOT do that to a fellow player. It was gratuitous and clearly likely to injure.
  22. I am going to the game and looking forward to the fact that the humidity on Sunday will be fairly low, which is good for both the Buffalo Bills and me.
