A few weeks ago, I heard Rex make reference to the fact that we were at the bottom or near bottom of the league last year in the three and out stat. That puts a lot of stress on the defense. I suppose when that pattern continued, they thought a change was in order.

Anyone with any familiarity of the Pegulas already knew this to be true. It is sad that Vic allowed himself to be more like Sully and Bucky. It is also sad that other local and national media ran with this and all we heard about was how Rex was going to be fired blah blah blah.

Come on. Mario was a diva. Yes. If you dominate the line of scrimmage, you dominate the game and demoralize the opposition (as we did the 49er defense in the second half).

He has had interviews in the past (perhaps for Rooney Rule purposes) but he deserves them on the merits for sure. One thing that I was not familiar with was how he came back from that tragic accident when he was an assistant with the Cowboys I think. He is tough as nails.

Yes, great managers delegate. The fact is that he already was delegating. To suggest that this is something new is a way (in my view) for some to discount Rex's influence on the team's success.

You are probably correct . . . and unfortunately, those are the guys that they will show on TV or have photos of in the paper . . . not the people who do not act like idiots or take it to inappropriate extremes.
