  1. I think Moorman punting from the end zone pretty much sums up the last few years.
  2. I think the tone of this board has changed over the last 10 years because of the team. There haven't been very many positive things to speak of over that stretch.
  3. And he can make plenty more with the incentives. Just as it should be.
  4. Sure, our WR's have potential but our OL and QB's will put a damper on that. I'm hoping that we draft one of the top QB's next year and with another year under their belt things could start to get interesting.
  5. What I find interesting from the 2009 numbers is that the first RB taken (Moreno) did not get paid a premium as compared to the other picks around him. Some had speculated that Spiller would be asking for more than the slotted amount because he was the first RB taken this year.
  6. This will be a setback but its not like he would have had a huge impact in the early part of the season anyway. Lets just hope he isn't out too long.
  7. "Wang might need surgery" Skooby, sorry to hear it. That sounds painful dude.
  8. Don't worry. once he signs he'll explain how he needs to look out for his family. How could they survive with a mere $35M, 21 of which is guaranteed.
  9. He's signed but terms have not been disclosed or leaked yet.
  10. Hmmmm, I wonder why they picked Trent as the starting QB?
  11. And if you're down to your 3rd stringer you re-sign Fitz who was currently unemployed.
  12. There's a lot of room to play there and that's where the negotiating comes in. They're not going to split the difference because that would "screw" CJ. If anything you'd split the 13.5 mil into thirds. So it would be closer to: Spiller - 35.5 Mil, 20.5 guaranteed #10 - 31 Mil, 18 guaranteed But negotiating to add another million or two is nothing to sneeze at and that's where this might get dragged out. And as far as who (agent or player) is to blame for holding out, the player relies on the agent to tell him what he thinks he can get. The player makes the final call on whether the deal is close enough.
  13. If this team were going somewhere this year I'd keep Fitzpatrick for his experience and ability to come off the bench. Since we're going nowhere I'd rather cut Fitz and see Levi as the third string so he can get some reps with the team. Next year Levi and either Edwards or Brohm will be backing up the QB we take in the first round. /Crystal Ball
  14. Really??? We're going to debate whether athletes are worth what they're paid versus firemen?
  15. I can already hear Chris Berman's call of a big play by Spiller but I can't figure out what nickname he'll give him. "... pass is caught by C.J. ________ Spiller. LOOK AT HIM GO!..." Or it could be "CJ Spiller _______". "Spiller the Thriller" seems like the obvious choice. What do you think it will be?
  16. I think Schobel is smart enough to know that he can't sit out very long. He needs to learn the new defense and get into game-ready shape. He won't want to come back and fail to contribute. So if he's coming back we'll know early next week, maybe even Monday. If it drags on much longer than that then he's probably going to retire.
  17. I'm no track anything but I am good at math. FWIW, I think its probably 50 meters or 55 yards since they would be more equivalent than the other way around. Regardless, he's fast enough to make big plays and might be the only reason to watch the Bills this year. He's also pretty strong too. I've seen a bunch of clips of him breaking tackles and getting extra yards.
  18. And then teams figured out that you just need to cover the short patterns...
  19. I would do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NPHQlUkRtI
  20. I believe that is called sarcasm. I don't see us getting to .500 but I also don't think we're the worst in the AFC. I'm guessing 4 to 6 wins and we draft a QB in the first round next year. Say what you want about Nix but he knows how to build a team. He played it right to pass on the QB talent of last year with an eye towards getting one of the better crop next year. Especially since we might have a higher pick.

  22. I'm hoping that Spiller makes the red zone irrelevant by scoring some of those 50+ yard runs we've seen at Clemson.
  23. You know how this works. If they jump all over the team calling for heads to roll they will lose access to the players and staff. Then they will lose relevance. Its a fine line between being critical while not ruining a necessary relationship. This coming from someone who wanted Jauron gone in the offseason before last and almost didn't renew his season tickets after 20 years. I've been listening to WECK since Brad came back. I always liked him on 'GR. Like many have said, just be honest with your opinions. I hate hearing guys at 'GR pretending to take a position just so they can be a counterpoint to their co-host. We see right through that cr@p. And I couldn't care less about fantasy drafts of movie stars or sports broadcasters. But I would like to hear some fantasy football talk in late summer and early in the season when a FA pickup could help my team. In the end, if you give the Buffalo sports fan community your honest opinions and interesting (non-cliched) guests you will gain the following that you so desire. (I know, I spelled too well and didn't run on long enough for a Kasper's Kornerism)
