And I'm sorry that your apparent dyslexia caused you to read that when it is not what I wrote. -
Attorney General collapses while giving speech
blzrul replied to Wacka's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
He's fine, just a fainting spell. Maybe his blood sugar was low. Or since he was apparently talking about how great a job the Bush administration is doing for America....maybe God finally had enough and decided it was time to smite one of these lying buggers. -
I would like to invite Texass and indeed the entire Deep South to secede. And hurry up about it.

What's the deal with these Pirates off Somalia?
blzrul replied to SD Jarhead's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Looks like the pirates got their ransom, 1.7m or something. There's a good way to discourage them. -
My new favorite acronym applies - DFI. Stands for Dumb !@#$in Idiot.

Dissing Obama means Obama's promises to crush them and kill OBL are getting under their skin. -
Bush dissed at the G-20!
blzrul replied to elegantelliotoffen's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Bush is no longer relevant. With the market at its lowest in 5 years (now maybe more, it's below 8000 currently), the highest unemployment in 16 years...etc., he leaves a miserable legacy that is a fitting punctuation mark to one of the most incompetent presidencies ever. However, on the upside, he DID fulfill one compaign promise: He has done for the US what he did for Texas - took something that was doing pretty well and ran it into the ground. -
I think he'll go somewhere else where they're smart enough to build the offense around him, and he'll do well. I met a friend of JP's a couple of weeks ago. His opinion was that Trent is the better QB. He would not tell me what's up with JP's beard except to agree that it was not one of JP's better decisions. :-)

It is isn't pot, it would be corn squeezins. And my experience parallels yours. When I moved South I didn't expect any difference except for lots of sunshine and those cool Southern accents. My first day at work, on the ride home, I was behind a Taurus with the bumper sticker "I'd Rather Be Shooting Yankees". I cannot TELL you how happy I was to leave after ten years. Too bad. My favorite Rochester bumper sticker was "War's over. You lost. Get over it".

And tell me when you see / read about these people...it's typically a handful. Not thousands or hundreds of thousands. So you need to have some perspective about the whole thing. -
Trent needs to see a "head" Dr.-fast!

Al Toon is "healed" from the concussions he suffered. But he still has days when he sits in a dark room because of the after-effects. -
Doesn't anyone think it's a little too much of a coincidence that he played with confidence, little fear and GREAT vision of the field ... until he suffered a concussion? The brain's a funny thing. Although he's been pronounced "ready" to play...he's clearly not quite there yet. And being a young guy he's lost his confidence. And clearly the coaching staff has lost its confidence in him. When he made that TD Monday night, did you notice how he made a POINT of insisting his blocker take that ball afterwards, in gratitude...like "you did this, not me". Trent has the skills, the work either and the character. It sucks that he's slumping now but I am betting that he'll come out and when he does there will be no looking back. I just hope it's THIS year!

If the Bills sign Michael Vick I will give up my season tickets. After seeing the episode on the Vicktory Dogs on "Dogtown" (NatGeo) I was sickened. I would feel differently if I were to see Vick making a push to support organizations who battle animal cruelty. Maybe he will. But from where I sit he doesn't have much character. He'll go to either the Cowboys or the Raiders, and fit in well.

No. Just citing an example. -
My last American car was a 1998 Ford Explorer. I still have it - it's had some really STUPID expensive things go wrong, like a $2 part that cost $1000 to replace because the dashboard had to come off...the entire electrical system failing ... I will say that it's never stranded me, but I would not want to rely on it. American workers know how to BUILD an excellent car, if they are given a good design and the proper tools to do so. So I will buy a Honda that's made in America without worry. I rented a Focus sedan for the weekend while in Buffalo (#$@#$ wide right). I liked it and the Sirius radio/sound system was sweet. It handled pretty well in the snow on I90. I could almost - but not quite - consider buying one.

I have been getting the weekly piracy reports since 2002. I am sure they've been issuing them longer than that. These pirates have been out there, and ignored. Suddenly they hijack a tanker full of OIL and they're a big deal. Fancy that. Why does it put me in mind of ignoring terrorism around the world until it hits us? Duh. Well one good thing is piracy impacts all nations. Maybe it's a good cause to unit against. -
So why bother to be in the military to fight to protect Americans' rights if you get upset when someone exercises one of them? Particularly when her opinions seem to jibe with yours? If she is within the law, and if it gives her some solace (instead of spewing hatred and invective against "the other side"), who is it hurting? She meant no disrespect to the military. Perhaps it would help to remember that although the center of YOUR universe seems to be the military, many others go about their daily lives with different perspectives. Which is as it should e. This was a fairly common practice during the Vietnam war as well. When things settle down, the flag will go right-side up again.

Ha. Two points. Whatever. Both McCains have an acknowledged history of marital infidelity. If they did it once, they'll do it again. I suppose this is as newsworthy as Madonna and A-Rod but...I'm not interested in THAT either.

This is between Cindy McCain and her husband.

And since you so moronically posted this message on the WORLDWIDE WEB for anyone to see, have fun with the lawsuits that the employees will file. Employment at will is the law but retaliation based on political views is NOT. Obama isn't even in office and the country's lost close to 1.5m jobs. So why you're blaming HIM for the problems you are not yet experiencing is beyond me. Except of course because it's you. It's pessimistic pinheads who are half the problem behind the current problem; the other half is greedy, amoral miscreants. Choose your poison.

They don't need him. However Obama does not want him ostracized. I personally think they should put him in charge of the men's room but...whatever. If Obama is ok with it - given that it was HE who went out on a limb for Lieberman when he needed help, but then got backstabbed by Lieberman - then I guess the rest of the Dems in the Senate should let it go.

Job application to work for Obama.
blzrul replied to erynthered's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Ah so now setting a high standard for the people who work for us is a bad thing? I disagree. Considering that you people who are questioning it are the same people who would gladly have pilloried Obama BEFORE the election for being in the same room with a person of questionable repute (amid 599 other people), I would think you'd be happy that there is due diligence taking place. -
Shall I hold my breath waiting for the apologies?

I for one will be happy when this female Kato Kaelin is out of the headlines. Then we can focus on something more important like two wars, a tanking economy, a failing education and healthcare system, crumbling infrastructure, and finding Jimmy Hoffa.
