  1. I'm not from Orchard Park. Whatever, I keep forgetting that the lobomized wingnuts like to throw all their money into these megachurches that are more often than not run by perverts and thieves. I guess they aren't any smarter in Alaska than they are in Alabama. Maybe they have more teeth up there, what from chewing all that whale blubber and sh--.
  2. Makes you wonder why we needed the Patriot Act. Shoot, you want private data? We'll just give it away, for a nominal fee that is.
  3. When's that ankle bracelet coming off? It's easy to tell that "stir crazy" has rapidly descended into "just plain crazy".
  4. No word on how Palin is doing about donating that wardrobe ... apparently she's having trouble determining what was hers pre- and post-election....but this is GREAT. Apparently the McCain campaign need to recoup some $$$, so they sold off some assets. Assets such as Blackberrys...full of sensitive data. For $20. Genius. Sheer genius.
  5. Comparing Wasilla to Vatican City eh? I want what you're smoking.
  6. I am from the Northeast originally. And in my town of 46,000 there was not a single church that could hold 1,000 people. I used to think $1m was a lot of money. Guess not. Particularly in Alaska where everyone must be rich. Probably because they get all that free welfare money and don't pay taxes.
  7. Better than being a pedophile like you.
  8. Well in tough times most companies realize that they have to retain key people...I am finding it interesting the number of recruiters I've heard from the past few weeks, as companies are looking for talent while they downsize in other areas. Our salaries are frozen but some people are getting bonuses for that reason.
  9. EXACTLY. They've used this divide-and-conquer for about 20 years now and it's just got to stop. People are tired of it, and it cost them the election in 2008.
  10. I didn't say Alaska. I said a town of 9,000 people. A million-dollar loss. and the building's repairable, means it was worth much more and 9,000 is a SMALL TOWN. I find it amazing that a small town like that - ANYWHERE - could have that kind of money. It's probably not the only church in town either. I accept your apology for jumping to conclusions and putting words in my mouth.
  11. When I first heard the news they didn't mention that there were people inside. Pretty bad stuff. I don't see that anyone's claimed responsibility yet. It's probably some lone nutjob... What also strikes me is how a church in a town of 9,000 people could sustain DAMAGE work $1m????????????
  12. So one would wonder why he's still on the air, if no-one listens. Also why Colin Powell. coincidentally, made the statement reported yesterday that people need to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh and people like him.
  13. My Congressman just sent me an email in response to my communication ... it's very very long, but I was surprised to learn that the $14b is actually funding that was "previously appropriated funds for the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program". Great, now I have to go look that up. So if the funding was already appropriated...it's not new, it's just being re-allocated...? Then why take it from the $700b (except that money is not being used wisely anyway so what the heck)...? I am not going to read the ATVMLP bill tonight but, if this isn't new money I fail to see why all the Republican grandstanding. If the companies are out of business there won't be a need for the ATVMLP will there....
  14. I agree. That's why if the unions aren't willing to grant concessions then the deal should be off the table. We'll all suffer, short term. I guess we have to accept that there are no easy answers or good solutions, just bad and worse.
  15. I am not hysterical. I mentioned a report with an interesting angle. And I also stated that I didn't know if it was true, but that if so it's an aspect I hadn't thought of. Of course, being a flaming **** yourself you didn't see past who posted before you decided on a personal attack, And since you ARE such an **** your opinion is schit. It might interest you to know that my congressional representatives all received messages from me against the 700b and against the automaker bailout. But then again, being an **** more interested in your personal agenda, perhaps it wouldn't.
  16. I read an analysis in the past day or so claiming that the cost of NOT keeping these dumbasses in business would go well above $100b - given the domino effect of job loss, tax revenue loss etc through the industry and its suppliers. I don't know that it's true but it's one way of looking at things. Obviously we all know about the people who would be out of work and can relate to that (many people on this board are empathic human beings, although quite a few are simply pigs who are a total waste of oxygen and other nutrients)....but when you dig into all the ripple effects I am starting to think that these loans may be necessary. There has just got to be strict oversight and accountability. I don't know who Bush would appoint as car czar, but his track record isn't good ("Brownie's doing a great job!") ...
  17. Ah so now it comes out - you are not only a sexist pig, but a racist too. Probably a cross-carrying member of the KKK...but not even good enough to be a Grand Wizard. Maybe a Grand Wizard wannabe? Naw.
  18. Actually no, not "now". You have pretty much always been that way as far as I can tell.
  19. Some option isn't it? You can't live in Chicago and be a politician unless you're crooked, and you can't be a Republican unless you're an arrogant hypocrite. I guess that doesn't leave much does it.
  20. Never at the same time. To wit: "Can't living with the bill means it won't become law." (Brussels: June 14, 2001) WTF?
  21. JtP is "writing" a book. How much you want to bet Scaife et all buy about 500k copies so it ends up at the top of the "non-fiction" book list?! hahahahhahaha
  22. Since you didn't know what it was, maybe you shouldn't have offered it as proof. But since you did, and since you obviously believe the conclusions drawn in an op-ed piece, did you not notice that Gov Dirtbag does not seem particularly enamored of Obama? Of course not. I read the affidavits and whatnot and even reading this blog it seems pretty clear that what was happening is what happens everywhere - people were jockeying for position in times of change, and THIS dirtbag really went off the deep end and broke the law. He's a jerk, but if you think Barack Obama would engage in something like this you are a bigger moron than you have so far proven yourself to be. Even George Bush isn't that stupid.
  23. I am not sure that patronizing a prostitute is "perverted". But I am pretty sure that Larry Craig and the guy with the Congressional pages would be considered perverted, at least by the right.
  24. ok the Democrats are power hungry, and the Republicans are sexual perverts. Have it your way.
