  1. Made me laugh a 2nd time.. You are definitely in top form this thread.
  2. Only a few that matter and even half of those are RFA
  3. Buddy is just trying to provide a little variety. After finding out how much his own teamates don't like him, I'm sure .ark finds it refreshing to hear a little criticism from someone else.
  4. I dont think hes regretting it too much... but he might be thinking that he couldve given the Bills a little less of a discount.
  5. $5.45 million with $1.25 million guaranteed according to http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4257/scott-chandler
  6. patience is a virtue but time is of the essence After all, we dont want to be left just... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYW6C44zo24 when all is said and done, do we?
  7. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/17789567/buccaneers-sign-carl-nicks-to-five-year-475m-deal-also-cb-eric-wright
  8. Just so we are clear... Who is calling Nix "a great gm" on this thread? So what exactly are you saying?
  9. I've been pretty adamant that the Bills would not sign Mario. That even if they threw the money at him he would not want to sign here. I'm not even sure once you crunch the numbers that he would be worth what they were sacrificing to get him. But when the time came Nix and co. Stepped up big and did all they could to get this guy. If he goes to Buffalo great. If he doesn't then at least we know for sure that the FO is in it to win it. The OP has it right, you can't blame Nix if people just don't want to play in Buffalo.
  10. Whatever happens.. I'm really impressed with how Nix and the boys are going after these guys. They are doing whatever they can and hopefully they get it done. Trying to think positive here.. Thinking positive...Thinking positive...
  11. Im tired just from reading the discussion
  12. It wont be that much. Closer to $7million. Last year the Bills draft picks took up just under $10 mil in cap room and about twice that much in actual cash.
  13. The 15 million I stated was cash to cap.
  14. What else is there to say? This guy needs to get his facts straight.
  15. I hate to be THAT guy but... That doesn't include the money it will take to sign our draft picks. Your looking at about 15 mil. Or so in actual cash. Also, does that figure include Chandlers signing bonus + salary? (terms haven't been disclosed yet) The Bills (imo) at the very least are still are going to tender Urbik and Rienhart (or at least they should). Plus they are in talks with Scott. Now after all that- the number you have left over is used on free agents. Buuuuuut, they can still do things such as release players to make more room under the cap and free up some cash. So I do think they can make some moves (fingers crossed).. I just wanted to point out that anyone expecting too much may be disappointed. Personally I'm hoping for maybe one big signing (ex.jackson?) Or a couple of mid range signings like (ex. Meachum?)
  16. Right now I'm leaning towards 7-9 but if we make a couple solid moves in free agency I see no reason why we can't win at least 10 games and be fighting for a playoff spot at the end of the season.
  17. So many good points being made on both sides of the arguement. BigBuff423 made an excellent post earlier. The only point i can add is that, with the ultimate goal obviously being winning a SuperBowl and nothing less- i feel way better about this 6-10 team than i ever did about any 9-7 team in the last decade.
  18. I dont know whats going to happen with Bell. But im almost positive that he isnt going to sign any incentive laden contracts unless his agent is incompetent.
  19. Andy Levitre - 4yr/$14.25 million (Locked up for the next 4 years.) Fred Jackson - 3yr/$15.75 mil. ($5.5 million signing bonus) Jarius Byrd - 5yr/$28 mil. (id sign Byrd early into next season)
  20. Mincey started 16 games had eight sacks last season. Five of those came in the two games he played against the Colts. The year before that he started eight games and tallied five sacks. So there was an improvement there as playing time increased but im wary of guys who play up during their contract year. Jason Jones played a lot at defensive end last season and his numbers dropped. He played primarily as a defensive tackle the year before.
  21. Bills wont do it. Nor should they. Our QB situation isnt perfect but its a far cry from having to use the 10th pick when there are so many other needs.
  22. The most important position to fill is at defensive end and there is no great way to fill it other than signing Mario Williams which isnt going to happen.
