  1. Have nothing against the guy. I personally think he kicked it into high gear because it was his contract year but only he knows. As for Pete Carroll however, hate him, hate him, hate him. Rolling around the field hugging guys after beating the Bills back when he was the Patriot coach. That will forever be cemented in my mind. And those refs mustve been on acid. And another thing!.. ok ill stop
  2. Whitner...Ngata.....McCargo.....Mangold..... I need a drink.
  3. As opposed to the countless times i have heard Schopp cut callers loose when they disagree with him? Just so he can get the last word. Im sure those callers would like the opportunity to address his point as well. Meh.
  4. Honestly, thats what i was thinking that FJ should be getting once he is extended. I think its overpaying for Lynch though. But thats JMO.
  5. Great Matthew!! Thanks for asking!! I cant agree with your statement that all hosts hate it. I listen to hosts on the radio who dont seem to mind it at all. Now please stay on the line, my screener is going to get your info and send you a free shirt.
  6. Why do you think that is; to lower ratings? If the station wants him to take calls then he shouldnt pout about it. Its his job and he is getting paid to do it. Obviously his boss feels taking calls attracts more listeners. As for the exchange... Caller: Hi how are you? Host: I'm good. What are your thoughts on the Favre thing?" Proceed. If a caller asks what or has his radio on or something like that is totally different but how often does that really happen on average.
  7. I see the point you are making.. i just dont think its the same thing. Exchanging pleasantries over the phone takes literally 2 seconds. This guy's job in part depends on people calling in. Can you imagine if they sat there with not a single person to talk to? The least he can do is let the caller proceed in the fashion they see best.
  8. Its not always so cut and dry. I used to listen on my way home from a nightshift and there wasnt anyone else on the car radio talking about the Bills. So it was either listen to the guy i find annoying talk about the Bills or not listen to any Bills talk at all. (Other than the voices in my head - theyre all Bills fans too). Maybe there are other shows out there talking about the Bills in the morning that ive missed? That is so simple yet brilliant. In fact everytime someone says hi he should just turn to the screen caller and yell at him instead. Id actually be entertained by that more than him being rude to someone who is nervous on the air and decides by instinct to be polite.
  9. I was watching this earlier and even knowing the result, i was still getting annoyed with the Bills D in the first half. Marv went for it on 4th and 5 in the 3rdQ. Balls.
  10. Sorry 'bout that. I did a search but still missed your post.
  11. Well since you're helping the guy out by providing sources for him, ill chip in too http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7639414/washington-redskins-place-franchise-tag-fred-davis
  12. "People ask me why I'm not friendlier when the call starts. [saying] 'How are you?' is a challenge for me because there's like a clock ticking in my head. If there's three seconds or whatever of that kind of thing, that's plenty of time for people to change the station, and that's my obsession." The guy doesnt want to take three seconds to say hi in case listeners turn to another station. How many people turn to another station because of his bad attitude? I think there is a simpler explanation as to why he is so rude... he's an ass.
  13. Since there are plenty of players out there that will make an immediate impact on this team, I'm assuming the Bills will be very busy from the start of free agency onward. At least they ought to be if what Buddy said is any indictation. I don't see any connection between the NFL not coming to Toronto and this guy writing a crappy article.
  14. Agree with all that. Merriman will hopefully step up in the OLB/DE pass rush.
  15. No worries "yo". We all make mistakes so don't feel bad. Sorry if i rattled you by sticking to the facts.
  16. Im surprised there are so many vote for "no". Ray is coming back next year and it looks like Ed Reed is back for one more year too. Ngata.. Suggs.... ect. Thats the type of defense i would love to have.
  17. Stop being such a try hard. It gets higher for almost every team.
  18. But how many players these days get paid what their on field production dictates? Isnt it more of a matter of demand? Some team will be willing to pay big money for Stevie and if the the Bills want to retain his services then they will have to pay (or over pay). Thats just the way it is.
  19. You can look up the cap hits on http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap-hit/ The rookie cap hit was just under $10 million. The actual cash spent was just over twice that much. Thats if i didnt mess up- i did a quick estimation. (Two a.m., too many beers, too lazy to use calculator.)
  20. Do you really think he will ever be signed for only $6 mil? If so.. this is going to be a very one sided thread.
  21. Im not sure what youre trying to say/point out/get at. The cap hit on last years rooks was just under $10 mil The franchise tag on wr this year is just under $10 mil Bills have well over that in cap space- even when you factor in their cash to cap system.
  22. I'm sure they don't want to pay him the 9mil plus by franchise tagging him.. But they probably feel that if its between that and letting him walk they will go with the lesser of two evils. A lot can happen in a season. Did they say this in a tv interview? Or was it a published report? Thanks in advance.
  23. I really like what I heard from Buddy in that interview. Which was nothing.
