  1. The Peterman "hype" started when he looked good in the preseason and the General Manager heaped praise on him.
  2. No he's not. He'll attempt a 4th down conversion once in a while. He's no Doug Marrone, that's for sure. McDermott isn't brain-dead enough to think "clinging to leads" sixteen times in an NFL season is a recipe for success.
  3. 23rd in the league in rushing yards per attempt and every football coach hates turnovers.
  4. He's playing the same as he's always played.
  5. It's the same system, but obviously he doesn't think much of Taylor as a passer when he has Siemian throwing it much more than Taylor.
  6. Sounds like quarterback purgatory.
  7. Why do you assume a conservative, run-first offense is what McDermott wants? It doesn't occur to you that he knows a run-first offense is his only choice right now considering the limitations of the quarterback?
  8. They just hired Dennison and installed the Shanahan system, and yet they're still near the bottom (31st) in pass attempts. They were 17th with Trevor Siemian throwing the ball last season. Stop denying and just face the truth.
  9. I have nothing against transplantbillsfan but that's one of the worst arguments I've read on this forum.
  10. I'm saying what I said. Bledsoe went from 6th in passing yards per game under Carroll to 17th in 2000 under Belichick/Weis. Your claim that Brady only threw a lot because "the Pats were always a passing team" is silly. If a quarterback is good enough to pass a lot, his team will pass a lot. If a quarterback isn't good enough to pass a lot, his team will not pass a lot.
  11. It was only Belichick's and Weis' second season with the Patriots when Brady took over. The previous season, Bledsoe was just 17th in passing yards per game. Compared to 6th in 1999 under Pete Carroll. In other words, your statement carries no weight. The Bills were a running team by necessity for years, including after Taylor took over the job. The bottom line is that If Taylor was capable of being an average NFL passer then the Bills wouldn't be at or near the bottom of the league in passing production.
  12. It was nice of Beane to get a quality receiving threat for Peterman when he finishes the 2017 season as the Bills starting QB.
  13. I'm sorry but I have to call serious BS on this. In Brady's first season as starter (2001), he finished 24th in passing yards per game (Taylor finished 29th in his first season as starter). Just one season later (2002), Brady was 7th in the NFL in passing yards per game. Throwing to dime-a-dozen receivers like Troy Brown, David Patten and Deion Branch. In Taylor's second season, he finished 27th in passing yards per game. In Brady's third season as starter (2003), he was 9th in the league in passing yards per game. So far this season, in Taylor's third season as starter, he is 29th in passing yards per game (Bills are 31st as a team).
  14. Teams are averaging 34.3 pass attempts per game this season. The Bills are averaging 28 pass attempts per game. Only the Bears average less at 27.8 pass attempts. You're overstating the defensive background thing. Last season NFL teams averaged 35.7 pass attempts per game. Taylor and the Bills averaged an NFL-low 29.6 pass attempts. Dennison's offense averaged 35.6 pass attempts per game - 17th in the NFL. It's not a coincidence that every system Taylor plays in is at or very near the bottom of the league in throwing the football.
  15. Big time backup QB upgrade for the Pats. Plus they get a draft pick in the low-to-mid 30's. Sonsabitches
  16. Pretty simple If they make the playoffs, keep him If they don't make the playoffs, move on
  17. Was Benjamin fat for the Panthers' opening game in Week 1?
  18. Another way of looking at it. McBeane basically made the following player-for-player trade... CB Ron Darby and QB Cardale Jones FOR WR Kelvin Benjamin and WR Jordan Matthews
