  1. I'll sign up for that.
  2. Yeah, and so did the opponent's concern with us throwing deep or to the opposite side of the field. Though it took a few games for teams to figure this out.
  3. You wouldn't switch Peters back. His best asset is his lateral agility which suits him best to play on the open side with no tight end coverage. One would want to put Brown at RT on team that included he and Peters.
  4. Carr is a fine QB who has become a little gun shy for good reason. This should be fairly obvious to most who understand the game of football if you watch him play. If he's being viewed as the scapegoat now that doesn't surprise me at all considering the tendency for fans and media alike to give Qb's both more credit, and more blame at times than they deserve.
  5. Common denominator: Most of those teams play a 3-4 hybrid defense.
  6. Had one of his best games of the season against the Vikes (#1 at the time) run defense. I was at the game. He ran hard and pushed the pile all day. He kept a couple drives alive with his efforts that day and allowed the Bills to stay alive. His TD run was all effort too. Don't bother showing me stats. EDIT- He had another one of his best games against the Jags, a very highly regarded run defense.
  7. Do you seriously need to ask this? It's because Willis is a Bill and Jones is, well, not a Bill. Duh!
  8. Stop it you rabble rouser!
  9. You can have him. Me? no thanks... I like a guy who is durable, can have 25+ carries in a game and can break tackles over a scat back.
  10. Better at what? Maybe catching the ball out of the backfield , that's about it.
  11. I think we all missed that one. Honestly, Pro Bowl aside, he is one of the best young left tackles in the game. So much so that they now leave him alone against whomever he is facing, whether it's Taylor, Freeney, or whomever. He has great strength and really quick feet. It's pretty easy to see how good he is when you go to games as well...Mcnally has called him his best prospect since Munoz.
  12. With the Wall Banner Ginx lifted, Willis can now get back to being a very good running back.
  13. Fair enough. Just know that those Championship games would not have been reached without Thurman's efforts...
  14. A perfect selection!
  15. It's all about the media exposure and the rings for Irvin. I have no way of proving it here and now but I doubt many WR's or Cb's who played in Reed's era would think Irvin was nearly as good as him over the long haul.
  16. Seriously, I'm surprised by that grudge you hold there Simon. There was no higher contributor to the success the Bills did have in those days than Thurman Thomas.
  17. Thankyou for that. I agree with all of it.
  18. Anybody remember Eugene Marv ? He was a very solid ILB for the Bills and very under rated on a crappy team. Just throwing one out there....
  19. Quite a group there... I really admired Singletary mostly because of his ability to diagnose the play prior to the snap of the ball. He did so much preparation and had so many individual player "keys" or tipoffs if you will, that he knew where the play was headed most of the time. Plus he was an animal for his size. He also had that sort of Clark Kent off the field/ superman on the field aura about him.
  20. Butkus, now theres a guy who could shed blocks. Samurai Mike, not so much. Were they both great though? YES Singletary is probably my favorite linebacker of all time.
  21. Those are two of the 3 I was thinking of (I haven't seen Al Wilson enough to judge). You can see my point though at least, no?
  22. That has absolutely nothing to do with the question I posed that you quoted.
  23. Not that I'm advocating JP for the pro bowl (I don't think he'd be worthy yet either), but he had a higher TD percentage and higher rating than both of those two in an offense that was less conservative (or "west coast") than both the Jets and Ravens.
