Oddly, this loss ( so far) is almost entirely on the supporting cast around Josh, and NOT the defense with 6 freaking injuries. Josh has also played extremely well

"Rushing him back" would have been playing him in week 1. They are clear of that. He was ready then. I'd love to keep him as a break glass in case of emergency player too, but the dude is getting paid to play and contribute to wins.

I figured Edmunds might struggle with the Bears due to the scheme differences and lesser players around him, but man o man, other than week 2, he has not impressed whatsoever. Barely looks average out there. Slow twitch. With the Bills I could at least watch most games all-22 and see him often take away a read and force QB's to pull the ball down, go somewhere else with it, etc. but I just don't see that now with CHI-Town, not that I am looking at their all-22. Its just obvious, and not in a good way. He needs a very specific scheme to excel in the middle of a defense apparently.

This is what a balanced offense that "takes what they are giving" against mostly 2 high safety looks, looks like. It's what the Chiefs had to do last year to succeed against how they were being played, with a bit more success (so far) than KC in the running game.

I think this was either the 2nd or 3rd Bills game I attended, at the ripe old age of 9.

People forget that Kelly was returning very early from a major knee injury to play in this game. This is why the offense didn't look like itself in the game. They had a very specific game plan to keep Kelly upright utilizing lots of screens and short passes, and of course the running game.

His pre-throw process looks more compact and he's got like a 3/4 to sidearm delivery on a lot of these dart throws. Its a quick release that's for sure.

He was most definitely right, but for some reason (I know bc I was one of them too) MANY presumed he meant that Edmunds was a poor player judging by the pile on effects that would happen around these posts you speak of for the last few years, but that's not what he was saying.

Edmunds is a good player, but not a great player. He priced himself out of Buffalo with his FA market value. That's all, plain and simple. There's really nothing more to it. Those that claim he sucked are wrong and those that thought he was a true year after year pro bowl type player are wrong as well.

Regression is the wrong word for what Josh did in the Jets game or in certain games the past few years. Adrenaline management issues seems more relevant and accurate to me. And no, this is not on some coach to correct. It is on him and him alone, and he's corrected it before.

This ^ plus folks like Erik (for example) from Cover 1... HE IS an expert, in spite of being a "You tuber" (he's on other platforms too). He played ball and was a an actual coach at one point too. Multiple Bills players have also validated his film reviews in person.
