  1. I'd like to thank the following posters for continuing a great tradition of spirited, rational, reasonable discussion here on the Wall:
  2. I don't see Bunkley slipping to 15 or lower, as the Cardinals, Rams, Browns, and Ravens (picks 10-13) all have interest in a DT and all, even the 3-4 Brownies, have shown interest in Bunkley. Now, if there was any way to trade down w/ one of those 4 teams and still pick up a 2nd, I'd be all for it.
  3. And, while you're all @ it, predict the score for the first 5 weeks of NFL football, too. C'mon, experts. To amuse the birthday boy: 1. Houston: Reggie Bush, RB, USC 2. New Orleans: D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia 3. Tennessee: Matt Leinart, QB, USC 4. NY Jets: Mario Williams, DE, NC State 5. Green Bay: Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland
  4. Be nice now, cajun. He was plenty nice to the Bayou Bengals when they won the title OUTRIGHT a few years back.
  5. Happy birthday to all, except JoeSixPack.
  6. I wish I could, guys. I'm driving up for the draft party, but I won't get into town until just before they open the gates @ RICH, probably.
  7. I can't stand sarcasm.
  8. That would be a nice pick. Mangold looks to be a guy you just draft and put into the lineup as your starter. He's done nothing in the offseason to prove this wrong. That would certainly solidify one interior OL position for us.
  9. I thought that was it. Thanks.
  10. I'm only 8 hrs away. Too bad it wasn't already open, as we were just in Charlotte last weekend.
  11. Me too. If we come out of round 1 w/ D'Brickashaw Ferguson, that would be the best start possible to our draft.
  12. D'Brickashaw Ferguson does remind me so much of Mike Williams. They could be twins.
  13. What have you seen to make you believe that Ferguson will be a bust? What have you noticed to make you feel his success so far won't translate to the NFL?
  14. Don't ruin his moment. Even though the players are nothing alike, the fact that both were Ohio State LBs means they will share the same fate. Didn't you know that?
  15. So....he's NOT a lard a** like the guy we just kicked to Jacksonville's curb, has good lateral movement, is a dominant pass protector and a willing run blocker, is an exceptional athlete, and an honor student who got his degree ahead of schedule? He sucks.
  16. Dallas pass up a LB in the first round for any of those guys? No way. I'd expect the 'Boys to snare Manny Lawson if he's there, if not probably a guy like Thomas Howard. If they were to go away from LB, it'll be for a DB, not a DT. I just don't see that. Colledge is an OT. Wroten is a guy whose name I've seen thrown around on this board, but I don't want him. Too many off the field issues for me. First rate OL in the second? I could live w/ that. We should be in the running for any of the top 3 guards (Jean-Gilles, Joseph, Spencer). Mangold will be gone, as will Winston, more than likely.
  17. There's a difference between any two players. None are alike. McCargo in the late first? To who?
  18. 1. Huff 2. McCargo 3a. Lutui 3b. Trueblood What would be bad about this scenario for the first 3 rounds? To get a playmaker in the secondary, a very good DT, a guard who has tremendous upside, and a very good OT?
  19. No! It's only a one round draft, which is why we must draft a DT/OT/OG/C in the first round. What have you heard of this Haloti Fergusondavinmangold kid?
  20. I prefer boxing, minus the heavyweight division, which is more pathetic than UFC.
  21. 1. HOUSTON - Haloti Ngata Ngata is clearly the best pick in the draft and the Texans know it. He'll take them to the Super Bowl. 2. NEW ORLEANS - Jimmy Williams They meant "Mario Williams", but whoever was supposed to write the name on the card was drunk. 3. TENNESSEE - Jay Cutler Young gun who is very erratic. He should fit in well w/ Norm Chow's offense, as it is usually manned by an undisciplined gunslinger. 4. NYJ - Winston Justice They wanted D'Brickashaw Ferguson, but fell in love w/ Justice's workout numbers. Plus, he has shown he fits the New York mentality. 5. GREEN BAY - Vince Young They finally say, "Screw you, Brett! You're outta here!" W/ Jay Cutler gone and Matt Leinart under investigation for his family living in a crack house, Young is the best QB available. 6. SAN FRAN - Leonard Pope The Niners don't believe the hype surrounding Vernon Davis. Pope, they say, is a much better fit for them. John York is Executive of the Year. 7. OAKLAND - Santonio Holmes Al Davis shows again that offense wins championships by getting the best WR in a year chock full of 'em. 8. BUFFALO - Sinorice Moss W/ pressing needs up front, the Bills make the obvious choice: a small, speedy wideout. Levy finishes second in the GM of the Year voting. 9. DETROIT - Michael Huff Matt Millen is kidnapped, and the Lions make a selection that actually makes sense for their organization. 10. ARIZONA - Mario Williams The Cardinals go defense and nab the best defender in the draft. When asked why, it was, "because we weren't smoking what those other 9 idiots were."
  22. Yeah, but what's his 40 time?
  23. Oh...you said don't vote if you don't know what you're talking about. Oops.
