No- it’s not. That’s not what I said as you continue to move the goalposts to fit whatever you’re trying to prove. how many times has the defense played well in in season ending losses since we’ve been contenders? Zero. If the defense hadn’t put up absolute stinkers in those games, clutch plays by the offense may not even have to have been made as games are already over. How many points have we given up in season ending defeats? The answer is more points than we’ve ever averaged- but the O is supposed to outscore that number playing vs an all time DC coaching a very good D…. Got it Regarding your last statement- I never said the offense was good enough. If you had read any of what I had said you’d realize that I said there is blame placed on the offense and the defense…. Not JUST the offense. But move the goalposts and act like I’m trying to sell that it’s all on the offense. Just blatantly making stuff up. I’ve always said there are multiple reasons why we haven’t made a Super Bowl. Playing terrible defense and allowing teams to put up 33ppg in season ending losses is the biggest reason- not the only reason

Yes, in this situation- because safeties are immune to improving because…. Of last seasons competition. Got it. sanders was such a bum that he out snapped Gabe by a wide margin. competition often breeds improvement. That’s my point. My only point here

What makes you say Josh Palmer is a 12M WR? 🤦🏻♂️ I also think Palmer will be our 2nd-3rd best WR. Maybe Moore can surprise and be better, making him our 4th best, but I highly doubt it. Palmer is better than many here think imo. comparing total numbers of a RB vs a WR (like you did with cook) isn’t really a thing….until you just did it

This post could be top 5 most enjoyable in @Mr. WEO history Which annual competition are you speaking of? There has been exactly 1 completion at S under this regime. Taylor Rapp played much better than I had anticipated. Damar Hamlin, while not my choice, played slightly better than I had anticipated as well. or are you speaking of every position? As in Elam vs Benford….in which a 6th rd pick is now an All pro. Or 5th rd pick Shakir is now a 15M WR. Or Spencer brown (vs Daryl Williams) David edwards (vs Svpg) your lover boy Gabe Davis (vs sanders, brown), Milano, Bernard and Dorian Williams (vs entire units of vets) competition breeds improvement. I’m fairly confident this is a fact in most aspects of life….. but do you mang. Typical Weo nonsense. Just here to argue

Competition isn’t dependent on the plays being called. In this specific situation, which safety is assured of being a starterr in 2025? Imo, none are. This increases the chances that everyone…:not just scrubs, will be working harder, hence giving them a better chance to improve…. My point. competition breeds improvement in many cases. Except w/e is going on in your head

You don’t think competition in preseason can make a player better?
-
Correct- while giving up a season high in points to their opponents with time still remaining in the game, we made a couple nice defensive plays….for the first time in 5 years. Poyers save on the goal line the previous year was clutch too- but more of a blunder on Hardman imo. In the same game- jones made the most clutch play of the game vs Dawkins. I agree- making plays in the clutch is extremely important- maybe the most important aspect of winning football games….but it’s not the only aspect that matters. When we allow teams to score an average of 33 or so ppg in season ending losses, I think it’s fair to pinpoint that as a major reason why we haven’t been to a SB. Not the only reason. Similar to making clutch plays….. as was the crux of my post. It’s not just one thing. But do you.

so brutal

I feel like sabres talk, wherever you are, is like breathing in a giant pile of dump. 😢
-
The other people who got to flash receipts are those that said we didn’t have enough pass rush and said that our defense would inevitably lead to our downfall if we didn’t win a SB. WR wasn’t the main reason we didn’t win a Super Bowl.

It’s not his forte, but zero power is a massive exaggeration made in order to try and prove your side of the argument.

Great post! You should post them again next week. And every other week after. I didn’t want Keon either. But you’re acting like his career is already over. He had one solid 1/2 season, got injured, then had a bad end of the season/playoffs after injury. Jury is still out

If you were plenty tough, you wouldn’t constantly bring up how people combat your opinion on the matter on a message board made for doing exactly that. Jmo

Wrong as in he didn’t win? Did you think Lamar was deserving of the MVP in 2023? He wasn’t imo… but he won. I don’t think that makes the people who voted for someone other than Lamar “wrong”
-
McDuffie would’ve been nice. If we traded up for him, we likely wouldn’t have 2 of the following- James cook, Terrell Bernard, Khalil Shakir. We’d likely have one additional player (as we traded our 4 for Elam) but who knows how this would’ve played out…but it’s not like we’d have the same team + mcduffie, minus Elam.

He’s a “zone corner”. I’m fine with the lack of recognition. More fuel to his fire Lots of people had Lamar as mvp. His numbers and play were phenomenal. It was the best season of his career. A career which includes 2 prior mvps

PFF's top 32 TE's (Dalton Kincaid at 10!!!!!)

https://x.com/_bbrandonn_/status/1902097850348998997 I’ve seen several stats highlighting this- but this is the quickest one that I found at the present. Cover1 has a couple episodes that expand on this. part of this could be on Kincaid as well…. But it was pretty clear to me the 86 had people beaten on several occasions only to have the ball hit the ground due to a pass that was off target. Including the play where he was injured. 17 is the lord and savior….but I agree with Thurman, he didn’t do Kincaid many favors last season. -
I guess this depends on if you consider Josh Palmer and outside guy deep threat. The consensu is that Amari cooper opened up and allowed out offense to become dynamic last season while playing 50% of the snaps and averaging 14.9 yards per catch. Palmer averaged 15+ the last 2 seasons. He just doesn’t have the “speed” many want, yet he has separation ability on the outside. I was hoping for more speed too, but in many cases, the “speed guys” can’t block. Palmer is a solid blocker and get get open on the outside. The jury is obv still out, but we “may” have that outside guy that can be the horizontal field stretcher you seem to be insisting that we don’t have.

🤣 my bad!!

He’ll be there. Wouldn’t be surprised if he missed one or two days, but 17 is different edit- I don’t care if he’s there or not. If there’s ever someone deserves to miss PTA’s, it’s him
-
I doubt white is cut considering his 2.2m dead cap vs Danes 500k, but we’ve seen Oj Howard cut with a 3M dead cap so 🤷🏻♂️

Best case scenario is this keeps him out until the playoffs, where he’ll be 💯 until he gets hurt again. I like the signing as I think he can make big plays when we need him to. I just don’t have much hope in him staying healthy.
