I’m pretty much is the same boat less than 24 hours after the unfortunate event. i would be ok if the bills threw in the towel this year and didn’t play another game while getting their mental state right dedicating their time and effort to Demars foundation and the community. This was always supposed to be the year of the Bills. It can still be the year of the Bills….. without a playoff win. My feelings will likely change if our fighter can overcome and power through, but as of now, he and his family take precedent. That’s what makes this franchise what it is. Once a Bill, always a Bill.

I think we’re definitely better @ Qb- take burrow if you want. I’ll take Allen all day every day. TE- knox is better than hurst for sure. LB- Cinci LBers are very good, but not quite milano and edmunds. DT- Reader may be the best of both units, but our depth @ DT is ridiculous. Jones’ play has been close to that of Reader (worse vs the run but better pass rushing). Ed Vs hill is close- Phillips and settle are 100000x better than Tupuo and Carter. K- P- I think they’re definitely better @ WR- they have us beat- but we’re one draft pick away from being right there with them. I’d take Diggs over chase. S- Bates is on Poyers level- bell is better than Hamlin. Add Hyde and we win. Unit that could go either way- OL- coin flip- neither are good. - RB- prior to the season, I’d say Cinci. After watching this season, I’d rather have motor and cook. Cook is looking rather special. our RBs average 4.6 and 5.8 ypc- Cinci- 4.0 and 4.2. Both with crappy OLs. DE- Tough call- they have the best individual. We have the better unit 1-5. If someone chose Cinci over Buffalo, so be it, but it’s dam close. Add Von and we clearly win. CB- I’d give it to us, but I don’t want to be greedy, so I’ll give it a toss up. I don’t see how anyone could say they are better I’m sure some would give them DE and RB to Cinci and if so, that’s still not most. It’s not even more. I think we may have a difference of opinion on what the word “most” means. if you consider “most” 50.1%+ or more of the total, I might be able to agree with that statement. i think it’s a subjective statement that could shift towards either side depending on who’s grading the players. I think that term would be “more” If you consider most to be 70%+ ish or more than the total, I think it’s a terrible statement. I consider “most” to be around this amount. i don’t consider “most” to be 50.1%+

And by the look of your OP and my first post in your thread, my speculation seems to be in line with majority of the board, while yours doesn’t seem to be hitting the mark. You’re certainly entitled to speculate. That doesn’t mean your reasoning makes any sense. Watching this game for 40+ years, I know that the first 5 minutes of a game can as easily mean very little as much as it means a lot. 🎲

And all you have to realize is…… that doesn’t mean a dam thing. It only means that they played well for 8 plays. Sure they could keep it up. Or our D could also step up and make plays. The crappy Cinci OL showed you 8 plays. They were going to get bested on, at least, a handful of plays. Those plays can lead to turnovers and end drives. 8 plays is 8 plays. You can’t draw any conclusions based on 8 plays. Any sane human being would tell you the same. but yeah, Cinci played well on O for 8 plays. Our O did exactly what they needed to for 10 plays and then S Brown missed a blitzer and Josh/Cole misfired. Cinci would inevitably have drives that end in similar fashion. And our offense would inevitably score more than a couple TDs.

It was a terrible comparison imo. For SOME NFL caliber football players, football is not a job. For many, it is just that. It’s a means to an end. And end of working for a living and providing for their family. Several NFL players have already achieved that could retire right now and not have to worry about money again.

Very strange and stupid comparison. Cars aren’t what would be scary- people driving is what is scary. if you plan on leaving your house, ever…..to anywhere, 90%+ of the population will be doing so in some sort of a vehicle on a road…..with other drivers. So unless you want to be confined to your house for life…..you have to get over that fear. Football is a job. A way to make money. There are millions of other ways to make money. If you were to give up football, you can still leave your house and go places. You’d just get another job. If you gave up being on a road, we’ll that requires a drastic change of life that most wouldn’t be able to endure.

But you must’ve missed those 8 plays. Those 8 plays were different

They executed well for 8 plays- We executed well for 10 plays- then brown didn’t pick up a blitz for an incompletion and Allen threw a high pass that Beasley could’ve come down with, but didn’t. let’s not act like the bengals would’ve executed everything to perfection the entire game because they did on their first 8 plays. this thread is 💩 3- no contest- both teams finish the season with 16 games 4- rule it a tie- really doubt that happens.

My bad. You didn’t. I was ignorant you said “what has changed?” Well, the players watched as their brother potentially died from taking a forceful hit while at work. yes, they know that there’s a chance…..but EVERYTHING changes when you see that.
