Sure…if he wants to, I’d be happy with him

Sure, but I don’t think he wants that grind. He’s got a great gig that allows him to spend a lot of time with his family

NRC PI to lose the game vs Jax
-
The defense did a good enough job vs the pats? No they did not. Take away our game…..and the pats have averaged 11.2 points a game. The patriots scored 14 in the 4th qtr vs us…. 2.8 points more than their season average per game. Our defense DID NOT do enough to win that game. They failed us. Denver, they had the lead and couldn’t get off the field Vs the 16th ranked offense to win the game. The d played solid during the game….but failed when it mattered most. I think you mean what you’re saying and I somewhat agree with your premise. I just think you aren’t totally comprehending what you are saying when you say every loss has been entirely on the offense.

Yeah, could be. Just have to remember who’s telling Brady what he wants. McD. Maybe McD will let him let loose….. I sure hope so

Doesn’t seem like the play calling has been THE issue. Definitely one of the issues. The biggest issue imo, is the regression of our QB. Maybe it’s the shoulder injury? Maybe it’s his reluctance to run? Maybe it’s confidence. Maybe his accuracy issues are back? Probably a combination of all 4 and more. All I know is, Josh has taken a step back in recent weeks and Dorsey wasn’t able to figure it out. Can Brady? Idk, but I’m glad we held someone accountable and I’m eager to see what the change will bring and how it impacts Josh’s play.

How could we not notice!?!?

My first time ever seeing your screen name. But thanks for letting us all know about the future of the Bills before it even happened. You are stellar! Get off the couch and go run an nfl team. You deserve it

Can’t believe people actually listen to him. Put the Charlie Brown Christmas album on repeat
-
Right, you fault the D less. Which puts some blame on the D, which disagrees with your statement that you put it all on the offense. You’re saying one thing (all on the o) , but then saying something (less fault on the D….but still admitting fault). Our 5-5 record isn’t because of just one facet of the team. Agreed. Spags brings it and Spags gets home. Some DCs know when and how to bring it. McD doesn’t seem to know how right now.
-
They’ve made several big stops. They’ve also failed at making several big stops.
-
Agree for the most part, but the D gave up gw drives to the pats and broncos. In both games, the offense scored TDs to give us the lead. And in both games, the D couldn’t hold the lead. Because of this, I don’t think we can absolve the defense and say every loss is 💯on the offense. Losses are often a combination multiple facets.

If There's No 12th Defender, is Dorsey Still Employed??
NewEra replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let’s just say that we had fired Mcdermott rather than Dorsey….who would be the HC? Dorsey? Washington? Kromer? Shula? Ehhhhhhh. We’d also need a defensive playcaller/DC. This is the only move that could be made that would still give us a chance to make a run. Fire McD and the season would’ve been over immediately imo. And the Kincaid drop on 3rd down. It was equal to a turnover -
Fire McDermott - 12 On the Field INEXCUSABLE
NewEra replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
To the guy that started the thread trying to ban the term “billsy”…… I blame you for the 12 men penalty’s. Clearly your fault -
I’m a life long Harbaugh hater, but I’d have no choice to be ok with it. Luckily for Terry, it doesn’t matter what I’m ok with. I think Harbaugh is very good coach that has a shorter shelf life with pro teams than a very good coach should have. He’s a douche. Most people don’t like douches imo. So most of the players won’t like him after awhile. He’s built for college imo. if he were our next coach, I’m sure I’d be excited.
-
Right…..but the D was very good when healthy. Borderline elite defense. Everything would be different this season if those guys wouldn’t have gotten hurt. Dorsey would still be the OC too. Believe that I haven’t gotten myself up to listen to to either of his PCs since the game. Was it that bad? Should I watch or skip it?
-
No, it’s not. Add Milano, Daquan, Tre, Hyde and Benford. But I’m with you. I don’t think the year is shot. I believe we can and will likely make the playoffs. We needed a big shakeup though. Dunno if this will fix us for certain but i do believe the season was likely over if we had kept Dorsey.
-
Perfectly stated. I’ve been backing McD throughout the year but last night really has me thinking I want an entirely new regime. Roll the dice. Could be a mistake as I think McD is a good coach and the replacement could be much worse….. but it’s worth the risk. that said….. 7 games left. The season isn’t over. I’m pumped to see what we do going forward with Brady even though I’m not really a fan of the guy. He could very well be part of the problem though. Josh has looked worse with Brady than he did pre-Brady imo. And he’s flat out just missing throws. Good comp% but seems like the big 3rd downs he misses more often than not. But either way…. Brady isn’t Dorsey and for that, I am pumped. Hopefully the O can catch fire and this is exactly what we needed
-
**** No! I’d rather have Daboll over Brady and Dorsey but I’d prefer a brand new offensive scheme altogether. If we don’t win 1 playoff game, McD should be replaced. Prior to the season, I thought he needed to win at least 2 playoffs games to keep his job, but the injuries in D have really taken a toll on what he wants to do. I’ll give him that small benefit of the doubt. Praying for Ben Johnson. Maybe he’d hire Frazier as DC 🤣 imagine that.

This was terrible and I b****** about it to my boys throughout the 1st half. I knew he’d be benched but it should’ve been for the 2nd series. Cook is a dynamic playmaker and we need to use him more. His usage (or lack thereof) is part of the reason this offense is struggling. and none of this would’ve happened if we had just deferred the opening KO. Choosing the ball was the beginning of the end and the first of McDs failures yesterday. Had a bad feeling after that. It is his MO and is part of his problem.
