I hear ya. Personally, I just don’t like comparing week to week performances like that. Our D gave up 29 and a gw drive to Macnchz. Their high total for the season.

I agree with all that you’ve said this thread but Miami didn’t have Ramsey. He’s been a huge difference maker for them. I do think he’s overrated….but he’s much better than Kohou. I also think the Miami defensive players are becoming more comfortable with Fangios scheme and Fangio is finding his groove. Their D is much better than it was when we played them. Losing Phillips is a big blow for sure, but Van Ginkel is a great replacement. Meanwhile we won’t have Daquan’s and Milano, who both had great games in week 4. I think we’re the better team but I’m worried that their D is going to give our offense fits. They stop the run and they get lots of sacks.

I don’t think this is an option. Our resources are limited this offseason. We can’t afford to spend the money on Davis and our top offseason asset on the same position. unless we can get gabe for a bargain contract- I’d pass on him and use the 1st on a WR. Spend the money on Edge and DT. The majority of our DL are FA.

Phillips had been our starting 1T since the Miami game (until he got hurt!. He’d also play some 3 (and IS a 3T based on ability). As the games go on they’ve been switching up some player combinations. seems to me like Settle should be the healthy scratch when Daquan comes back. At that point, we’ll more or less have 3 1T and 1 3T until Phillips returns. If he returns. Maybe we’ll see more Rousseau rushing from the inside when daquan comes back.

But he is most definitely an NFL caliber coach. The guy made the playoffs in his first year, breaking a 17 year drought with a RB playing QB. We were the better team. We had more passing yards, rushing yards, better 3rd down % and had 5 sacks (to one). 3 turnovers to 0. 3 plays almost stopped us from being the better team- almost. We made plays when we needed to. The chargers did not.

What a friggin stud- that GW sack was ridic I thought Zion Johnson, who I had heard wasn’t playing as well as the LAC would’ve hoped, played very well in limiting Ed’s effectiveness all game. His GW sack came on the other side.
