Officer David Lee The other day was Sunday, September 22nd. And the last day of David Lee's life. Mr. Lee was a St. Louis City cop. He was 44 years old, had two kids, a wife, and was an 18-year veteran of the police force. A CNN review of property records and tax bills shows that for both properties, Alsobrooks claimed for more than a decade a homestead tax exemption that is meant to apply only to someone’s primary residence, violating state and local tax relief requirements. She also improperly claimed a senior citizens’ tax break on her Washington property, cutting the tax bill in half. Alsobrooks, 53, never qualified for that tax break, but her grandparents, who owned the property before her, likely did. A senior adviser for Alsobrooks told CNN that she was unaware of the problem and that her attorneys are working with both Washington and Prince George’s County, Maryland, to resolve the issue. Alsobrooks saved nearly $14,000 in property taxes between 2005 and 2017 by using tax exemptions designed for primary residents, low-income households, and senior citizens on her northeast Washington property. However, public records indicate she did not actually reside in Washington during that period, as she has been registered to vote in Prince George’s County since 1995. According to CNN, "A senior adviser for Alsobrooks told CNN that she was unaware of the problem and that her attorneys are working with both Washington and Prince George’s County, Maryland, to resolve the issue." What a Leftist Means by 'Freedom' by Mark Lewis Any Leftist, any Democrat, will tell you they believe in freedom. Of course they do. Even the Chinese believe in “freedom.” It’s the Donald (“Hitler”) Trumps who are trying to destroy our “freedom” and “democracy.” Everybody else believes in freedom. And that can be confusing. The conundrum is, a Leftist doesn’t mean by “freedom” what traditional Americans mean by “freedom.” If you talk to a Leftist about “freedom,” you will probably both use the same word. And that Leftist will almost surely say that “Trump will destroy our freedom!” But unless you understand what Lefty means by the word “freedom,” you will be talking at cross purposes and never achieve anything. All Americans talk about freedom and all claim to want it. But they don’t mean the same thing by that word. What does a Leftist mean by “freedom”? As always, their definition is in their actions, not in their words. Two points. 1. To Leftists, freedom means government “allows” you to do what you do. Where does freedom come from? This is where it all starts—the source of freedom, and the answer makes an enormous difference. Thus, to Leftists, the source of freedom is a government grant that can be taken away at any time it wishes. [snip] 2. Freedom means licentiousness. I have written about this in the past. Sadly in my 45 year career as a nurse I have been present at far too many miscarriages. To the point where i have held the 10 - 15 week old baby in my hands. The definition of a miscarriage is the expulsion of a baby from the womb before it is able to survive independently, especially spontaneously or as the result of accident. That is it.. What Scrappy Doo and the Leftist gang have always argued is that "a miscarriage is a spontaneous abortion" As if that is the equivalent of the chosen act of a medical procedure to end a woman's pregnancy.
