Random talking head says something about the Bills
The Jokeman replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
The run defense needs to find a way to stop long runs. Not sure it players/scheme or both. Yet still plenty of weeks til playoffs to start to shore up schemes/get healthy. If anything this season is showing were still overall a top team in record and most stats except run defense. -

I'd argue we have a top 5 starting RB and top 5 starting OL in the league. While we don't have a NFL #1 WR our WRs on the whole as a group above average. When Kincaid is in there he's a top 10 TE. Knox is an average #2 TE. So as a whole I think our offensive talent might be top 15 QB which hardly horrible. Just average. I'mMaybe I'm a homer in this thinking but an curious your thoughts on more talented teams? As teams like Cincy and Miami have better WRs they don't have the OL. Philly might have best starters in the league but depth to me weaker etc. -
Josh after his 6 TD performance: "I didn't play well."
The Jokeman replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
So minimize mistakes by the offense and put defense in less of a position to step up aka complimentary football. -
Ertz is no John Skelton.

Sure to misquote Oprah, You cut your GM, you cut your GM, everyone cut your GMs!!!

I had to do because I read how much better KC's GM Veach is better than Beane but yeah this is an example where maybe he isn't and maybe draft position does factor in quality of players you end up getting.

The Jokeman replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can win a whole lot more games if you prevent your opponent from scoring than attempting to outscore them every game. Complimentary football gives you a much better chance to win. Case in point the 1990s Bills teams, we had Thurman and Jim as key cogs on the offense and we routinely beat Marino and Dolphins. Why? In part because the Dolphins let Marino be Marino and never give him a RB of Thurman's status to compliment him. -
Na, we should have signed DHop in free agency. I mean look what he's doing in Baltimore....😐

I guess we could have the Chiefs draft class instead.... WR X Worthy, could have not traded up (and kepy a 3rd round pick) and drafted Ladd McConkey OL K Suamataia, was drafted to be LT instead cheap replacement for Thurney but not playing close to his level TE J Wiley 1 career reception S J Hicks PFFs 73rd ranked Safety this season OL H Nourzad 18 NFL snaps CB K Hadden No longer on the team OL CJ Hanson 5 NFL snaps

Shavers has been with the team since 2023, a full year before Coleman. Also he seemed like a better athlete coming out of high school but lost in the shuffle at Alabama and transferred 2x to show off his skills. Took the slow path to develop and has proven a good depth WR. Time will tell if develops into more.

And hope the defense doesn't break when Josh starts being reckless and makes turnovers.

Should we look to trade Keon after this season?
The Jokeman replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm pumping him up because people are acting like Coleman is Kevin White, Reggie Williams, Laquon Treadwell or Charles Rogers level bust which to me he isn't. -

Keon's also being thrown long routes toward the sideline which a lot harder to complete than most routes it may play a part. tThat catch% you quote Ladds actually gotten worse from last year from 73% to 64% compared to Keon that improved from to 50% to 65% but hmmmm guess Keon sucks. -

But 40-50 yards with 4-5 targets IS a contribution. Hell was Gabe great this weekend? Nope he made plays on the limited attempts he got. Pretty similar to what Keon did the week before but I know you're expecting more from him based on draft position. Which is great at assessing value, so yeah Keon's not as valuable as you'd hope but again still a contributor. He got benched on Sunday because of missing meeting not field performance. -

And Keon has as many targets in his career as Ladd has in this season alone. Our current offense will not let get Keon get 8-10 targets in a game on a regular basis so to even expect him to get 8 catches and 100 yards plus isn't going to happen and guess what it wouldn't happen if Ladd was here either not because of talent because of scheme. -

If McConkey is so great tell me why the terrible stat line Sunday? Or his games against the Washington or Giants or Denver or Las Vegas? Looks like many of the stat lines we see Coleman produce. But I get it Coleman is trash cuz he getting half the targets McConkey usually gets with half the production. -

We define suck differently then. To me suck is Aaron Maybin not Chris Kelsey. Has Coleman become the WR we needed, no but at least he contributes on occasion. That's what upsets me with some of the fan base. Is Coleman Eric Moulds not likely but what if he become Donte Stallworth? Who was a cog to some of those Super Bowl teams in New England. Just because a player doesn't meet certain expectations means they can't play in this league. I'd imagine most here would call Kyle Pitts a bust but you know what he might not be Tony Gonzalez but he's certainly not Tony Hunter. -

I'm referring to a 3rd round WR drafted same year as Keon that some have stated better than. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WilsRo02.htm And just because Keon hasn't shown to be the alpha we wanted he still has value as a depth player and he's earning 2nd Round pick the next two season. Play him through his contract. Hell players can improve in year 3 and 4. Look at WanDale Robinson with the Giants. Or Alec Pierce with Colts or Christian Watson of the Packers etc. etc. -

And again for the 1000.time we didn't need a slot WR when we drafted Coleman but I know, you think all DTs are NTs? -
Who do we want, who do we need as our next HC and, or GM?

But but but Stefanski wins awards....but McDermott's teams win more. -

Call me a homer but think Keon's shown to be better than Wilson but I know Wilson be a Pro Bowler here. -
A pattern that stats can say whatever you want them say. I guess some would say we should leave Kincaid in bench cuz had he injury prone and just proved we can score over 40 without him. Hell the Chiefs wanted Brock Osweiler the year before. Gotta say we dodged a bullet as might have been a 3 peater if they got him 😜

No Elam showed far less than Keon has. Seriously, do you watch the NFL? Some here have said we'd be better suited with Roman Wilson over Keon. -

Coleman can be a good roleplay the next two seasons, am I asking to give him the brink truck after his contract ends? Hell no but Keon isn't trash. I say this as a guy who only wanted BTJ or Legette or AD Mitchell in that draft. AD Mitchell, now that's a guy who is call trash. Another immature guy that Keon could compare to his Chris Burkett, also a former Bills 2nd pick.
