That and Rosen felt Brady esque in that he didn't have an elite arm but was good at reading defenses. Able to lead his team back (see win at USC). He just seemed to be the safest QB to draft.

Davis is going to be too expensive. -

He was what he was. We just haven't found a suitable Beasley replacement. I know Kincaid can be but we need it in WR form too for our offense to truly be elite again. -
Nah the good ol' days was ICE wanting to fire everyone in sight after a loss 😄 or the board getting Jay Rosen'd or endless Belinda posts.

No McKenzie was our speed/gadget guy 4th WR. We wanted him to be more when honestly he wasn't. -

Or at least be a better McKenzie. -
As an anti-Allen pre draft my concern in watching his college highlights it felt like he relied on his athletic traits. Usually when get to the NFL it gets equalled out. Toss in bad completion percentage and low level Conference. One thing pre draft writeups didn't cover is his willingness to improve/accountability/drive to succeed/leadership etc. I've never been happy to be so wrong when I muttered "Wrong Josh" after the selection of Allen.

To me you get a bigger body at RB2 and seems to be MCBeane's MO. -

Hines might get the returnman occasion used in offense Harry role next year. Yet still need a #2 RB with size behind Cook. AJ Dillon was rumored to be I. Our sights last off-season and could be a cheap add or could see drafting a guy like Isaiah Davis late (round 5). I agree. Noah Brown to me under the radar and he did well in Houston last year when asked to step in after a breakout year in 2022 with Dallas. To me he's an ideal Davis replacement as can be a #2-4 type and has similar traits to Davis. -

Valid point but Diggs still has wheels and admit eyeing Troy Franklin in the draft. -
Bobby Slowik takes extension in Houston

Maybe one is holding out for Spagnolia or the Commanders GM wants to add a former 49er he worked with. Tough call but am shocked Slowick to pair with Maye (presumably the 2nd overall pick). -

I appreciate Davis for what he is but you have to think a team in need of WR help (see Carolina or Indy) could give him a healthy raise. We could replace him with someone like Noah Brown who is similar athletically and size wise but cost less. Or you can see if DJ Chark or Josh Reynolds or Nick Westbrook-Ikhine can be added as a 4th WR and might do more with a QB like Josh. My worry is a deep threat could cause Josh to go into gun slinger mode. -
If Booker lives up to his 6'6" measurement he could be on our short list for day 3 as we seem to like guys with length although he might need to gain some weight to give him the flexibility to play inside/outside for us. At the very least could be a 3rd down specialist as a rookie and maybe an eventual successor to Von Miller.

Could be Houston Texans 2.0 if they get the right HC/OC as assuming they'll be drafting Drake Maye.

Team Building Philosophy: Draft, Develop retain judiciously
The Jokeman replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
Either way he's not going to be easy for them to replace same as Sneed. Now they may free up cap room to get one of them most feel Jones looking to get top money for his position and not sure the Chiefs can do that and imagine after this season Sneed going to look for top 5 CB money as well. Time will tell but it could be some changes to their D next year. -

If they lose Chris Jones and Sneed in free agency this year it will be interesting in how they go about replacing them. Both were good value picks being one was a 3rd and the other was 4th. -
Bills interview Mike Caldwell for Open DC Job

Until we get a bonafide NT (see Ted Washington) a 3-4 is a major mistake. -
Yet he lead the league in TDs and tied for most ever rushing TDs by a QB in a season. Not being in the top 2 with CMC makes no freaking sense.
-
If he loses MVP but doesn't get offensive player of the year then I have issue. He should be one or the other if not both.
-
Yeah someone will have to replace Sam Darnold sooner or later. I'm guessing he goes for a 4th or 5th rounder.

Olsen reminds me so much of Steve Stiffler every time I hear him. Then his play by play reminds me of Andrew Siciliano it's weird when I see them on camera as am like those aren't the guys I'm listening too. While I didn't like Brady as a player I can only imagine his work ethic is top notch to be an analyst. I'm guessing he'll be similar to early Tony Romo yet not sure if he will be as excited for certain plays/players etc. He chose Seattle over us.

Or maybe Carmichael reunites with Payton in Denver and we can bring in Davis Webb as our QB coach.
-
Carmichael has experience as a QB coach so definitely a good option. Haley? Has he coached since getting fired from KC?
