ok looking at yur schedule these are the VERY hard games: @Miami -- Always tough at home, and are a decent team this year. @NO -- Sorry NO WAY the Bills should be able hang with them down in the dome. @NE -- DIVISION FOE, AND AT HOME, BUT pATS MAY REST STARTERS IF SPOT IS ALL LOCKED UP. Tough games: KC -- They are 6-0 and their D looks sick good! ATL -- Good D and a very good QB NYJ -- Division foe always tough of those 6 I see at least 2 losses, and if Iwas a bills fan a 3-3 be awesome as well with Manual out right now. My problem in deciding is what team will show up> the one defeated the Ravens or the one that lost to the browns? My gutt says: 8-8 with potential for 10-6

Manning: "It's tough to win in the NFL"
PatsFanNH replied to nucci's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Broncos one ACHILES heal is there D. IF/when they lose it will be because that D couldn't stop even a decent O. -
also by how tough the Opponent is, a QB facinr a top say 5 D having 2 TD throws IMO more impressive than a QB with 5 TD throws against the JV Squad called Jacksonville.

Is this current front office getting a pass?
PatsFanNH replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok: CB -- NO team has great depth here because with the rules as they are finding the truly good ones is very hard and rare. (I cant think of one team with depth.) WR -- Who was out there for them to sign as a DEPTH player that would have come in for a reasnable price? (you do not give a researve big money) OL -- As a Pats fan this has as much do with your OL coach as it does with the players there. QB -- NO ONE has a great back up, NO ONE. Your new regime got what appears be a good QB for you in the draft as well as additinal WR. -
Thats why I dont play fantasy football anymore, I will take both Breese and Brady performance over most other yesterday as BOTH led their teams for late TD Scores.
-
Ok enemy camp perspective: 1. Bills this year are hanging in, and doing so without their starting QB, Very rare for ANY team do well with their back up in never mind one under a new HC AND new GM. 2. The Bills, with a back-up QB could have won that game yesterday. 3. IF I was a bills fan I be more concerned my top money makers 9IE DEFENSE) are the ones not pulling their weight each week, seems they play just well enough to lose.
-
Exactly, alo the Pats D was shutting down the Atlanta O without wilfolk the hole game. 9Last 6 minutes without wilfolk OR Kelly the D line was gassed.) Pats be ok but Big Vince be missed.
-
Ya but Tannahill can't keep getting punished back there like he is, he will get hurt and they be SOL if he is down for any amount of time.
-
Be interesting how they do against teams that know them very well like NE,Buffalo, and NY. Or any team with a good Pass rush.

1. Manuel -- I think he will e a good QB, I don't know if he will be elite, but def good. He has shown smarts so far by not throwing the dumb picks. Also led the team to 1 come from behind victory and to tie the game late in the 4th qrtr. pretty impressive for a rookie have that poise to do it. 2. Hurry Up Offense -- Works great, but coaches need learn when to stop and use the clock to their advantage. IMO that cost you the chance be 2-1 right now. 3. Defense -- Has played well, and with the injuries you have I don't think you could expect much more right now. 4. Offense in General -- I think your WR look better each week, while your RB seem to be less scary than they were last year. Overall I think as Bills fans you should be very optimistic, you are very close to turning the corner and being contenders again.

Good observation, They have given up more sacks than ANY other NFL team right now. That prbl will come back to bite them in the ass. Especially against NO who will score a lot and force tannahill to throw.
-
except they didnt blitz him much the front 4 got to him, and not many teams can do that w the Pats O line. The Jets scheme wouldnt work because they can run the ball very well now with ridley and Vareen
-
Yards per Game is becoming a very useless stat, especially w the way the rules are now so heavily in favor of the O. IMO the PPG is key andd they been pretty good there.

Thats wrong he bet Miami twice last yr.. both times a rookie qb..

Stevie Johnson: Pats can't 'stop me'
PatsFanNH replied to Stevie's Johns0n's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a Pats fan, I found nothing wrong with what he said, But can he at least remember the guy he knows "personally" is not a patriot anymore! lol That said, he has never faced either Talib or Denard so in being fair NO ONE knows what he can do against this secondary since he has never faced the 2 starters. (That sound fair?) -
PTR, You don't know spygate at ALL. was the OFFENSE got the benefit of stealing the D signals of the opposing team. The D of ANY team could never do this since the plays are called in to the QB via head phones. So your "cheating" thought on D was a bold face WRONG! Umm in 2006 they were a Bugs Caldwell catch away from SB #4 at the time. So I disagree, Brady makes the players better around him.
-
IMO you cant accuratly grade a draft till 2 or 3 years down the road.. I mean everyone thought LEAF was a great pick at the time he was drafted.. we all know that is false now.

AFC East QB's (Miami,Buffalo,NY)
PatsFanNH replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can see that, the one thing IMO that gives Pats the edge in the passing game is the TE position. Also our WR have an old horse (and sadly closer to his HOF induction than his first year ) QB who can recognize NFL D fast. I EXPECT growing pains from all 3 Young QB's, for the Bills the biggest knock I have heard on your QB is his accuracy. (Not sure how true that is but what all the "experts" are saying) -
weaker and weaker? lets see 2 years ago in the SB and last year in the AFCCG Game and probably win that if the top CB Talib doesnt go down injured after the 2nd qrtr (not to mention no Gronk on O.) But 2 SB in five years and they are consistantly getting worse.. lol Really? fat albert I mean Haynesworth and Ocho stinko come to mind lol
-
Same ol Jets... wonder where TeBow lands now..
-
Going be rather interesting in the east this year with 3 VERY Young QB's. So here is how I see the 3 teams shaking out this year: Miami: I see the Offense taking a step BACK this year teams know how to prepare for Tannahill now and while Wallace is a nice deep threat he is an overpaid one trick pony. The team will still do ok as the D is IMO one of the top 10 in the NFL when healthy. Record: 8-8 Jets: Offense is a mess, and defense lost its best player. Team will struggle even if they had Joe Montana in his prime at QB. Record: 2-14 Bills: This one is tough for me, got a very good WR in the 2nd round also have a very good #1 WR already mixed with a dang good RB duo and a defense that should at least be average or better with the talent it has. THIS is the one team where the QB play will determine a lot. Record: ??? I honestly have no clue I need see your QB play even a couple meaningless games to determine, my gut says 9-7...
-
Blount will be the back who gets the football near the goalline or short yardage situations.. Vareen will be the 3rd dwn back and Ridley the workhorse..

Steve Johnson's interesting tweet.

As a Pats fan I found the comment stupid. I wasn't offended by it just thought it was a dumb thing to say is all. -
I disagree I saw the throws Luck made against the Pats, and Fitz could NEVER make those throws. IF given time he will burn the Bills big time, the reason he had a bad day against NE was the pass rush and blitzing. (2 of his INT was caused by the pressure up front.)
-
Bills: 1. Need to Involve your star RB as much as possible (screens, reverses etc) 2. You MUST get pressure on luck, he is a very good QB and can make amazing throws into tight spaces (his TD pass in the back of the endzone where Talib had good coverage was just WOW IMO.) 3. Going with 2 IMO the Bills need to BLITZ Luck and make him uncomfortable 4. Need ST to deliver a big play, maybe not a TD but a great return. Colts: 1. Protect Luck, even if you need do max protect 2. Establish the run, to keep Buffalo honest on D 3. NO brain cramps (Pick 6, or ST TD) This game can go either way, but if the Bills fail to pressure Luck the Colts could light up your secondary... will your DC do whats needed to make him uncommfy in the pocket?
