  1. turnovers. apple, cherry, doesn't matter.
  2. The Bills wideouts apparently had a tough time getting open. I think Trent had a decent game. But much of the game, the receivers could not get open. The interception was not his fault, somebody jacked him, and turned it into a floater. The fumble? Well, I thought the whistle had blown. He didn't need to extend, he already had the first down...in the red zone....turned the game around. The challenge? What happened? the guy's foot was planted when the ball hit him. Did the refs decide the ball was already out of bounds, so it was not an illegal touch? If so, then the nature of the challenge was not overruled. The challenge was that the guy was out of bounds when he touched the ball. the safety was Peters' fault. Royal's fumble....get rid of him. He has made huge errors in our two losses. I'd rather lose playing poorly than playing a great game and losing. They learned a few things. these were correctable errors.
  3. I think Kawika's hit was pretty rough, but there were players flying in all directions, so one could argue that it was not intentional. This was a mano a mano head butt. And if you hooked this guy up to a lie detector, assuming he has a brain, you'd find out he was trying to hurt Edwards. Typical though. Why not try to put the other QB out of the game? Wish our guys tried that a few times today.
  4. Thanks, Mike, for the link. I have to throw away my commodore 64. I thought it was a legal hit watching it live, but seeing it slowed down, it's clear the guy drilled his helmet into Trent's head. Vicious, and punishable.
  5. I'm an idiot, it's only midnight here, etc. But I think the league does look at these things in slo-motion. And I also think that a guy who was named MVP by SI at the quarter season post deserves the scrutiny. The Bills were 4-0 for the first time since 92, and Edwards is a big reason for that. So you don't want to see a guy like that get screwed into the ground. The world seemed to stop when Brady got knocked out, and I think the hit on Edwards deseves a good hard look. However, I do agree with the sarcasm. I don't know how to post a link, and I tried to follow the instructions. Perhaps the moderator decided that my post was redundant. It would be a good point, the only difference between this and the other thread was my botched link to youtube.
  6. I guess I don't know how to post a link. I copied and pasted the link I posted, and it took me to youtube. You're right, though. I hope they fine him 100K and suspend him. It was uncalled for.
  7. I think that linesman must've been cross-eyed. Why would the Bills, in their 5th game, suddenly start lining up offside? Especially on a field goal attempt. What sort of nonsense is that? I think that was the key moment in the game. Other than the shot on Edwards, of course. Couldn't have gone worse after that. I guess it's better to play like crap and lose than to play well and lose. At least we can correct the errors. Shows how much we miss T. McGee. What happened to those creative scary blitzes we ran in game one? Seattle had no idea who was coming in on what play. What happened to that aggression?
  8. I'm responding to my own damn post because nobody else will even read it. This is a link to a youtube video of the hit in slow motion. I think if you haven't seen it lately, check it out. It's brutal.
  9. I think they look at these things in slo-mo. If they do, they may actually suspend the guy. He initially drove his head into Edwards' chin, and on the way down he redirected his helmet to drive Edwards skull into the turf. It was vicious. It should've been a penalty, and in my opinion, it will be a fine.
  10. Olberman is usually very funny and very smart. Republicans hate him, Democrats don't. It's as simple as that. And it's not amusing to me, however, when a guy gets a head injury. That changed the entire game.
  11. Wisconsin ran a 2 point conversion to tie the game v. Michigan at the end of the game Saturday. They scored. A few seconds after the conclusion of the play, a flag hit the ground. Illegal formation. Yesterday after the Bills scored the 2 point conversion, the same call took place. I've never seen this called before. And then I saw it twice in 2 days. Also, there was a play during which penalties were called on both the offense and the defense....one was an offside v. the Bills and a facemask v. the Rams, By Rule, they offset. But I remember in the past that By Rule, they screwed the Bills and enforced the bigger penalty. Apparently they've rewritten the rule.
  12. I had a spot on the field for the game.....my wife is manager of Guest Services at the Dome, so she managed to get me on the field. So I had to stand there like one of those guards at Buckingham Palace, stoic, not going craazy for the Bills, so it was rough. I did get to walk around the field after the game and look at all the Bills fans who stuck around, watching the players and staff toss things up to the adoring fans. Very exciting. I've noticed in the St. Louis paper today that the Bills victory is attributed to the Rams folding rather than the Bills making adjustments at half time. Great first drive in the second half by the Bills.
  13. I like Jim Rome. Think about this. There are more than a few dozen things he could talk about today, and he chose the Bills. We should be happy that our fellas are 3-0 or he'd be talkin' about something else.
  14. I've never had a problem with Brady. I remember when he was a rookie and he ran around end and got absolutely clocked by Nate Clements. I thought it would kill him. He got up and stayed in the game. Later, he threw a pass and the receiver was hit so bad he was knocked unconscious with his head on the sideline, and his leg was touching the ball, so he had possession. Despite being unconscious and not holding the ball. And the Bills lost. I also remember watching a game in Buffalo when the Bills were leading the Pats, till late when Bledsoe turned around and tossed the ball behind him to an open space. Brady was under tons of pressure on many occasions, and at the last second heaved the ball, apparently without purpose, yet connected to receivers 35 yards downfield. I was at a bar with Bills backers, and when they showed the injury, people cheered. I felt a bit embarrassed at that. I think we can beat those creeps with or without Brady. Either way, I don't care. I just want to beat those creeps.
  15. I remember there was a flurry of posts right after they signed Walker and Dockery to their deals...that Peters would line up for a raise. No way should he be 3rd highest paid on that line. He's outplayed his contract. However, he should've shown up 2 months ago as a good teammate.
  16. Peters is a good player. But the offense was 30th in the league, so how much worse can they get in his absence? I just don't understand that part about neither him nor his agent contacting the team. That makes no sense. Do they think the Bills are psychic, or that they will just pull the money truck up to his house? He's a beast. With the right coaching and playcalling, you don't need Pro Bowl calibre lines. Look at the Super Bowl Giants a few years back. 40% of their line was cut by the Bills.....Zeigler and Parker. Screw Peters. Get him out of here. Maybe he'll go the way of that DL they got as part of the trade with Philly last year, when we dumped whatsisname, the Cincinnati all pro who tore his achilles. That guy never showed up, got traded to Chicago, signed the next day, and I think he sucked there too, and got cut. Takeo Spikes, that's the LB. Sorry, I digress. Point is, you can't poison the team chemistry by rewarding this guy for sitting out forever. Trade him to the Rams, they can't draft anyway. They might as well give up a number one and two. O Pace is on his last leg.
  17. Yeah, I posted that I thought he was impressive, and this person tells me to meet more people. Okay, Bobby McCabe won the WNY burping contest in 1982. That was pretty good, I forgot. That's better than being the first non-white guy to be nominated for President. And Dewey Butts was voted Least Likely to Reproduce. Let's not forget him.
  18. I always thought Harvard was a fine American university. I had no idea it was Muslim schooling. I don't believe for one nano-second that Obama refuses to say the pledge of allegiance. He ended his speech with God Bless America.
  19. This country is in deep trouble. We need something new. Anybody who watched that speech and was not impressed is either lying to him/herself, or totally insane. The guy has accomplished more with his short life than anybody I have ever met. I have quite a few friends who are republicans and I think they are very intelligent. I don't know much about politics, apparently. All I know is that gas is triple what it was when GW took over, the deficit is ridiculous, we are fighting a war we shouldn't have started, and I make less money now than I did 8 years ago. If that makes GW a great president, then so be it. I think it's time to give somebody else a chance. McCain is insane, I think his first day in office he would push a button and make Vietnam go away.
  20. I think the Bills are playing it right. They are developing the line as if Peters was out for the season with an injury. It happens. They showed a lot of faith in him when they signed him to that (at the time) big deal for an undrafted promising right tackle. A lot of his development could be due to good coaching (maybe this is where McNally showed his skill)....and his physical gifts. But now he seems to be a top-tier left tackle (although the Bills did finish nearly last in offense last year, how dominant can he really be?), and he'll be paid accordingly....once he gets to camp and proves he is in shape and healthy and can still knock the hell out of people. To sign him without having seen his present conditioning and skill set would be unfair to both parties.
  21. I believe it's a week from Monday down to 75 and then the day following game 4 they cut to 53.
  22. I thought the whole first team looked like crap the other night, but let's just give it a coupla weeks. McCargo was hurt the first year, looked decent last year, and had a mediocre first preseason game. That's all we know. The draft is a bit of a crap shoot, we all seem to make judgments after reading Ourlads or PFW and the Huddle Report. I think that the Bills staff knows more than I.
  23. The part where you suggest "in his mind he's probably thinking", well, that's where you lost me. He doesn't do his homework. I also like the guy at the top of the video who said, "The Buffaloes Bill" instead of The Buffalo Bills. Can't even get the name right. At least Faulk acknowledged that he got emails from the Bills fans, and he said he reads them.....although my guess is somebody reads them to him.
  24. I live in St. Louis, and I think you'll be able to find great seats for under face value on the street before the game. The ones you can buy on Friday are probably not very good seats anyway . When it gets close to the game, my wife (who runs guest services for the dome) can usually buy great seats at face value from the Rams. I would not buy them this week if I were you.
  25. There are now 3 players who want new contracts.....Crowell, Peters and Evans. The Bills have said they spend "cash to the cap," and after signing all the draft choices, and Kyle Williams, and others....what's left to take care of these players? Does anybody foresee any salary dumps in the near future? Do any of you fans know what's left under the cap? Peters and Steven Jackson are the only holdouts in the league right now, correct? They both have the same agent. That's a bad sign. (I know you all knew that, and I'm not sure why I posted it, other than to try and look more intelligent than I am. It didn't work, I already am smacking myself in the ear with the cradle of my telephone).
