I definitely think you're onto something here. Daboll used him as a true dual threat in the passing game. And anytime he went a little sideways, Dabs would call a designed run for him to get back into the game mentally. Dorsey just asks him to drop back and be a traditional pocket passer.

Josh is a playmaker and doesn't seem willing to rein it in against these two high safety looks. When teams can play it well, like the Jets, he has to understand that he just needs to eat it and punt it away when we are behind in down and distance. The two losses against the Jets in NJ are specifically because he lacks the discipline to "live to fight another day.". We probably win 16-9 or something if we had just run the ball and continues to throw dump offs the entire second half. Ugh

If the Bills win tonight, does the narrative change?
TheBrownBear replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
My prediction is that we are in for a low scoring, ugly, defensive battle, so the narrative won't really change much. -
Same energy as the last few years?
TheBrownBear replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
My enthusiasm and excitement are tempered for sure. To be honest, I'm a little nervous heading into the season for the first time in a while. I know that we should be as good as ever, but I'm still haunted by how we looked for much of the second half of last season and in that Bengals game. -
Tua is really good. Hill is a hall of famer. One of the most dynamic dudes to ever play the WR position. And Waddle is great too. The Phins are good. It's okay to admit it. We still have Allen.

Cincinnati looks like we did in last year's divisional playoffs. It's a week to week league.
-
Also, (3) don't draw firm conclusions after week 1.

Ridder averaging 2.6 ypa, but somehow has a 104 QB rating. Proof that stat means next to nothing.

Wow. San Francisco looks good. Dismantling the Steelers right now.
-
Ah, yes, the Northstar Cafe. I've caught quite a few games there. The last being the fateful 2004 season ending loss to the Steelers third stringers.

PB is perfectly safe and fine for a Sunday morning/afternoon game. It's a good central location on the coast and you can walk across the street and be on the beach. I've lived in or around the area for 13+ years, my kids have attended PB public schools, never had any personal issues with crime or anything. Getting back on point, we've got a lot of transplants all over the country, so, yes, you can find a Bills backer group most anywhere.

You should get this trending on Twitter

KC looked like that a lot of the time last year and they won the Super Bowl. Sort of disinterestedly play to the level of their opponents before pulling away late
-
Toney reportedly had a bad attitude and poor work ethic with the Giants. Shakir is nothing like him
-
I also expect the Jets to win comfortably on Monday.

YESSSSSSS!

Here we go. Gonna get a bail out flag?

Damn, you can see why the Giants dumped that bum.

Is this Bills team better than the 2020/2021/2022 versions?
TheBrownBear replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
But what if they're our starting #1/#2 receivers for 16 games? -
I don't see it. I don't trust Goff to string together back-to-back pro bowl type seasons. I hope I'm wrong, but I expect KC to win this one rather comfortably

I feel you, but those guys have all played major roles in the past when we were winning 11 and 13 regular season games. I think we're talented enough, but as is the case with the rest of the contenders not named the Chiefs (presuming Mahomes stays upright), much of how we finish will come down to staying healthy, playoff coaching and a dose of luck. -

QB: Worse, because Josh is Hollywood and has a distracting GF. Also, he has golfer's elbow. RB: Worse because Latavius Murray is old and our starting running back never smiles which is bad for team chemistry. His brother was available and he has a great smile and isn't afraid to show it. WR: Worse because Stef hates Josh and McDermott and wants to be in Dallas. Also, we drafted a guy who sounds like a rodeo performer not a pass catcher. OL: Worse because Shell retired. DL: Worse because we traded Boogie LB: Worse because Edmunds walked CB: Worse because we are starting a 6th rounder and a guy without an ACL S: Worse because these guys are old and would rather be in Miami. STer: Worse because Hines got run over by a boat. Did I get this right? -
I agree that Thompson sucks. We held him to 18-45, 220 yards and 2 picks. We outgained the Dolphins by 200 yards. The only reason the Dolphins were in that game were unforced errors and special teams gaffes on the part of the Bills. We also beat a full strength Dolphins team with Tua in the regular season. And I agree that the Dolphins being a "top team" is arguable. But we did beat both Baltimore and KC on the road when they were at full strength. I was merely answering your question by stating facts.
-
Well, KC did win the Super Bowl and they have arguably GOAT talents at QB and TE, and we were the only team to beat them in their pad. We beat Baltimore in their pad too while Lamar was still healthy. We had two wins over the Dolphins (a playoff team) as well.

All joking aside, you really hate to see this. In both the Chiefs and Travis kelce's long-term interest, you'd like to think they'd do the right thing and rest him for at least the next 6 to 8 weeks.
