  1. No it's not. No matter how much you want it be. He is halfway through his first season. Kirby Smart went 8-4 his first season at UGA, and he lost to Vandy, Tennessee, and GT. All of them at home. And it's not like he was handed a crap roster.
  2. No. In 2007, Saban's first year at Bama, they went 6-6, that included losing the last 4 games of year with losses to Miss St, Auburn (a 6th straight loss), and Louisiana-Monroe. I am not saying DeBoer is going to be Bamas HC long term, or he is going to win multiple NC, but this one year is not going to decide his fate at UA. The one disturbing trend I do see under KD is the lack of team discipline. That needs to change.
  3. So it begins ..... https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/41531125/big-ten-sec-talk-possible-scheduling-partnership
  4. The latest. Hope makes a return! https://youtu.be/ci_1IOzdglQ?si=PWRm1cZ9zVxOL52G
  5. Heck of a game, but the good guys eventually won. I almost feel bad for UGA's next opponent who will take the wrath of UGA's frustration. But then I remember, UGA's next opponent is Auburn. I don't feel so bad anymore. @#$% Auburn.
  6. She was pretty hot back in the day. I miss the original Night Court.
  7. Bellenfant was a walk on as a back up. Spent 2 years at Bama and never saw the field.
  8. He was referring to the LSU vs USC game: https://youtu.be/VfwS1zJCo7Q?si=CO2gKpxMAfeOJpou USC had 2 TDs pulled off the board because of the officials. Game was officiated by Jason Autrey's crew, one of the worst, if not the worst, in the SEC. Autrey has been suspended in the past because of his really boneheaded calls.
  9. Make sure you turn on Closed Captions.
  10. For clarity, they are already part of a conference. Their football program remains independent, but the school is a member of the ACC: https://theacc.com/index.aspx?path=notre_dame
  11. I get what you are trying to say regarding Bama losing to ATM, but that was 3 years ago. Since then, ATM has changed HC and with roster turnover, the 2024 team is almost completely different than the 2021 team. Did you watch any of the ND-ATM game? Weigman, the ATM QB, was brutal. ATM has 9 (NINE!) QBs on the roster, and he was the best they have? They better hope Weigman had first start jitters, or its going to be a long ugly season for them. At this juncture, it is way to early to tell just how bad/good ATM is, and how much over hype ND is getting.
  12. Define "long". I can see this lasting a few years. The NCAA has no real power. Any efforts to control the situation has been met with ligation, and the NCAA is losing those battles. Unless all the schools/conferences agree to play nice, reform is going nowhere.
  13. That's the state Farmers Market. It has both a retail and wholesale side being a produce terminal for the entire SE US. They destroyed the celery it was packed in for possible contamination.
  14. Conrad Dobler. He used to brag about his dirty play.
  15. The Brickyard has a seating capacity of 257K. Lucas Oil has a seating capacity of 70k. It takes 4 events at the dome to match the attendance at 1 event at the racetrack. And they hold multiple races at the racetrack through out the year. People were attending the auto races, and spending money, long before the SB (just 1), the B10, et al started showing up. Than means all the accommodations/attractions were already in place before everybody else started showing up. Indy is also the home of numerous racing teams. To put this back on topic, how does that compare to Cleveland. Putting a dome on a stadium does not magically fix all the other limitations they have.
  16. His first shows were decent because he dealt with the X & O s of the game. But somewhere pretty early, he went off the rails. IIRC, he had a thing for Mitch Ferrotte. Listening to Chuck, Mitch was an all pro lineman whose was wasting away by sitting on the bench because the Bills were to stupid to recognize his abilities. In reality, Mitch was undersized back up guard. The people who thought the negativism on this board was bad during the drought, either did not hear or don't remember Dickersons radio show. He was the definition of a "negative" personality.
  17. Dickerson was a DL coach, nothing more. This was more about a feud between Levy and Dickerson. Levy fired him after the 2nd SB. Dickerson's pregame interview is considered a catalyst for the Redskins win. "Super Bowl XXVI controversy Before Super Bowl XXVI, Dickerson mocked the Washington Redskins' famed offensive line, "The Hogs", in a television interview. Dickerson said Redskins tackle Joe Jacoby was "a Neanderthal -- he slobbers a lot, he probably kicks dogs in his neighborhood." He also said tackle Jim Lachey "has bad breath. Players will fall down without him even touching them."[3] Redskins coach Joe Gibbs got his hands on some tapes of Dickerson and played them at a team meeting on the night before the game, and by all accounts it was a factor in the Redskins' 37–24 thumping of the Bills. Head coach Marv Levy later described the interview as "the girder that brought down the building."[4] Levy fired Dickerson three days after the game." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Dickerson Dickerson was bitter about his firing, and used his radio show to lash out against Levy and the Bills. Eventually, Levy responded.
  18. For Indy, if you mean big time sports destination for motorsports, then yes. Sure, it has Pro FB and Pro BB teams, but their biggest attraction is motor racing. And that was established in 1911. Call me doubtful the originators of the Indy 500 back in 1911 said to themselves "Just wait. A hundred years from now this will be big." I don't know how slapping a dome on stadium is suddenly going to make some people go "WHOA, Cleveland has a dome. This changes everything." Putting a hat on a pig is not going to turn it into Cinderella.
  19. Absolutely. Anybody who thinks putting a dome on the Bills stadium would give Buffalo a chance at hosting a SB is living in a fantasy land.
  20. I would not hold my breath on Cleveland getting a SB even with a dome. The NY/NJ, Detroit, and Minneapolis–St. Paul metro areas are bigger. The hotel/infrastructure is already in place to handle a SB crowd. Indy is closer to the size of Cleveland, but Indy hosts the Indy 500 every year. (attendance is in the hundred of thousands). Again, the hotel/infrastructure was already in place for a SB crowd. Cleveland has nothing in comparison. Jacksonville, a much smaller city, used cruise liners as temporary hotels to handle the larger crowds. That is not going to be option for Cleveland.
  21. Not a good look for Colorado and HC Sanders. https://athlonsports.com/college/colorado-buffaloes/all-buffaloes/football/deion-sanders-chaotic-culture-turns-into-locker-room-violence-in-colorado "Coach Prime has reiterated that he's not leaving Boulder with his kids, but rebuilding a program from scratch isn't his forte. Nor is fostering personal development among players. Many programs pride themselves on nurturing talent, but that’s not Prime's approach, and it's becoming apparent. He desires "ready-made" players who can deliver immediate results. It's not about gradually building up; it's about achieving success right now." That may work in the lower ranks of college ball where he can out recruit the other teams, but that is a failing strategy on the FBS level. "It's like a real-life Grand Theft Auto video game," one former player said. "There are many distractions with fights, guns, and money floating around. The environment is unlike any I’ve come from before." Colorado is going to regret hiring Prime.
  22. "But WNY can also produce intense heat along with humidity during the summer dog days." Those are outliers. I was in WNY in August of 2022 for my mother's funeral and my brother was complaining about how hot it was. Temp was high 80's, kind of muggy, but there was a cool breeze. I would commit mass murder for a summer like that. Just 1 summer. Where I am at, summer temps typically run between low to high 90's, humidity 80% or higher, and a heat index easily in the triple digits. The air tends to be stagnant, and if we do get a breeze, its warm/hot air. It's f***ing miserable. I'd almost put up with shoveling snow again. Almost.
  23. Been a fan since their inception. Had seasons in the 90s before I left. Bandits and their fans are envied and loathed by the rest of the league.
  24. NFL. Not even close. However, ratings and popularity can vary across different regions of the country. I'm sure in some parts of the country, the NBA may been just as big as the NFL, but overall, no.
  25. I assume you got heat sheets to back that up?
