  1. I just get the sense listening to MacAfee and some of the things Rodgers has said that he definitely wanted to play for the Rams or Vikings, and would have signed with either team already. IMO, his #1 plan was the Rams once Stafford left, which seemed pretty likely. He goes to LA, plays there in a fairly weak division with a great offensive minded HC. Then the Vikings emerged as an idea and he wanted to explore that and try to drum up interest. Great team, play in the old division, get 2 shots at Green Bay. But it turns out they don't seem interested. So now, it's Steelers or Giants. Steelers are allergic to NFL offense, and always seem to start 11-1 or 9-3 and then lose a bunch of games in a row before getting bounced in the Wild Card round. But they have a good team and just got Metcalf for some reason. Giants are just awful and have 1 good offensive player and a coach and GM about to get fired halfway through the season if things start rough. Both Washington and Philly are great teams, so it's also a tough division. I could see him saying he came back in his 40's from a torn Achilles to be a top 10 QB in yards and TDs last season (which is somehow true), played all 17 games, was starting to heat up at the end of the year once he fully recovered from injury, won his 4 MVPs and a Super Bowl, and has nothing to prove. He'll also deny that he tried to join the Vikings or kept anyone waiting, saying the media created it all and loves making him the center of controversy. Just my prediction.
  2. he will probably retire, IMO
  3. Please no Thanksgiving game....
  4. 89/90 million is guaranteed.... It's that last million that the team couldn't quite do
  5. Something I don't think you can underestimate is Bosa coming in here and already talking about playing with Allen and going for a SB win That, coupled with a 1 year deal will mean he will be as motivated as ever before. And he is incredibly talented, he's just had some bad injury luck. The way this DL rotates guys in and out hopefully he'll be fresh for the big moments.
  6. I thought the same thing, then realized... they do not like huge DTs
  7. LOL well said! I was honestly shocked to see them, and I doubt anyone actually bought them because they were there all summer and into fall.
  8. They sell palm trees at WNY Lowes and Home Depot. A few different kinds too. It's not steady or consistent, but last year they had a bunch.
  9. Big # 92 and big #93 lined up at DT was one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen on a Bills defense. Too many teams lack the massive DT. Then if they get one they figure they have that spot filled. But that Bills team doubled down on greatness!
  10. Love this signing! Versatile player, good value, and just all around likeable guy
  11. good signing, and now we can hopefully draft a DT who has to turn sideways to fit through normal sized doorways
  12. our DL rotation should help him to stay healthy for the big moments as well... Gotta think that plays into the decision.
  13. he will be as motivated as ever to stay healthy, have a big year, and position himself to be the #1 DE in next year's free agency I love the move! 100% upside type signing.
  14. Oh wow, I didn't realize that...
  15. bummer... the effect of having a locker room guy that keeps everyone loose is undersold Biron on those great Sabres teams was a good player but also a great guy to have on your team
  16. Kyle Juszczyk to the Bills if the 49ers release him? Bills are one of few teams that use a FB
  17. When two great teams play each other, one great team will lose. It's that simple. A couple plays here or there make the difference. Andre Reed called the Bills cursed immediately after the 4th SB loss, basically saying the Bills should have won that Super Bowl but once in a lifetime plays always go against us. In that case he was referring to Thurman's fumble in the 3rd quarter with the Bills up 13-6 and with the ball. It was returned for a TD and the score was 13-13 and the team imploded. If Thurman breaks one instead and it's 20-6 Bills in the 3rd quarter with Aikman unable to throw due to playing with a serious concussion then the Bills likely win that 4th SB and history is different. The Norwood FG in the first SB was a long shot, low % FG back then, on grass, and for that player. The announcers talked about it the entire final drive. If you can stomach it, go back and watch on YouTube. That's not a curse, that's asking a player to do something at the very edge of their capability with everything on the line. It was basically a career long FG in tough conditions in a day and age when a 45+ yard FG was a long kick. 13 seconds was just bad defense and bad strategy overall. That's not a curse, it's 100% self inflicted. Every great team has the chance to win it all somewhere along the line. The previous Bills "dynasty" could easily have been 2-2 in the Super Bowl, which totally changes the way they are viewed. 2 rings going to 4 straight? One of the all time great runs in NFL history. Instead it's still great BUT.... This team will have its own chances going forward, and it will be there for the taking. They just need to take it. I think they will. Allen is an all-time great QB in the making who is dominant in his own time, and all-time great QBs almost always get to play in at least 1 Super Bowl.
  18. I can definitely see a player talking themselves into the idea that wherever they sign can become a contender, and they are a big part of that.
  19. But they don't play offense in Pittsburgh
  20. If he wants a warm weather contender that's going to be tough. Most good teams are cold weather teams. I suppose Detroit and Minnesota having domes would work. My prediction is Houston. AFC, need WR, have QB, warm weather, and between Side Eye being a FA and Dell always getting hurt they have a huge need.
  21. For Metcalf: 2025: 2nd round pick (earlier of our 2) 2026: 3rd round pick pick For Garrett: 2025: #1 2026: #1 2027: #1
  22. Steve Young was on (I think Rich Eisen's show) and related that Tom Brady ran up to him pre game during his last year with the Bucs and the two were chatting about him still playing and he said "Steve! The middle of the field is always open and nobody covers the flats... and nobody can hit me!" Today's passing game is about hitting the open guys in the flats and middle of the field and picking your time to throw one deep once the defense gets frustrated. Worked Brady's whole career but most offenses and QBs are too impatient. Point being... We need guys who get open in the slot. That's where the work is. Having a deep threat is important too, but guys who can get open are always needed.
  23. Cook. We drafted him, developed him, and he is great and makes plays for us. Let's reap the benefits and pay the player.
  24. agreed... I love the big guys as much as anyone, but big, strong, cheap and young is the way to go at G. T is a much more premier position. I always wonder... if you had a HOF, best guard of all time with elite measurables how much value would that add over the average solid NFL starting guard? Obviously whichever side that guard played on would be solid, but then I would think your other guard would be exploited by the D. great tackles can neutralize a great DE, and we've seen that happen in the league for years.
