  1. I wanted to stop in to say again how excited I am about this player! They'll get some leg work in during the training program.
  2. According to the way these morning guys are reacting we're getting into "Trump reacts on Truth Social" territory. In reality, the GM (who likely feels a sense of "guys, we know each other so we can talk like real humans talk") gave a little back to them. I don't think it was mean spirited at all. Beane seems to like some give and take, and they've known each other for years now. It sounded like a group of guys talking sports. The radio guys acted like Beane insulted their very humanity. LOL Beane was 100% spot on about building the OL to protect Allen. That's an underappreciated part of this team.
  3. Kincaid has been a disappointment. That can change, but he's been totally mediocre at best. Coleman as well. There's already rumblings that the coach was annoyed with him. Samuel was hurt all year and did almost nothing. So there's reason to question it. Beane gets it, which is why a WR is in today. Like I said, I don't see this conversation as anywhere near as adversarial as it was portrayed. They're really leaning into that on WGR, because it gets clicks. I like Beane and McDermott, but it's time to get it done. He's right to quote stats but how many times have they played in the Super Bowl? When you have a HOF talent at QB THAT is the measuring stick, not fantasy football offensive points scored numbers.
  4. First off, I listened and I don't see the big deal. Beane pushed back a bit but it wasn't some acrimonious exchange, at least I didn't think so. These guys acted like he came on and just went off on them and "something huge happened" and it should be the topic of the entire day on all the shows. I get it show business wise, but come on. It was a mild disagreement at best. All that said, I think there is some serious pressure on this regime to close the deal and you're hearing a bit of that. You have 0 zero Super Bowl appearances so far during the superhuman phase of Josh Allen's career, where he has played at an MVP level for several years. Zac freaking Taylor has coached in a SB with Burrow. You have to get there, and you don't get forever. It's only going to get louder. "But Harbaugh!" Yes. But Harbaugh. He does have a SB ring, though. "But Tomlin!" Yes, but Tomlin. But he does have 1 ring and 2 total appearances. Both have been a while since they've been there but they got the job done. That never goes away, like it or not. Nor does not even getting there or not winning one. And the fact that anyone could bring up the names of long-tenured SB winning head coaches as "but ______" to support their argument that Beane and McDermott get forever just proves that point. McDermott and Beane have a HOF possible all-time level of talent at QB and have never played in a SB. I think there's real pressure, which is fine and as it should be. and BTW? A free agent WR is in for a visit today! LOL
  5. True... When you look at the teams pretty much everyone has a QB already or drafted one already so it doesn't make sense almost anywhere else
  6. Pittsburgh has to be the team that drafts Sanders... There are so few teams that would be looking for a QB and 5 already drafted one
  7. Dude is freaking enormous! I admittedly don't really follow college ball but watching his highlights video he looks like a create a player on Madden. Super long arms plus 6 foot 7?! FG blocking potential too
  8. I'm not crying, it's the dust in here DL could be crazy good soon!
  9. We are literally never going to draft a big DT That said I trust the coach and GM. Maybe he'll be great
  10. OP wasn't necessarily wrong... The guy was just gone way before our pick. No way to know unfortunately. AI kept telling me he was a 2nd or even 3rd round pick so I was hopeful.
  11. I like the speed, skills and personality Good pick I think!
  12. If they draft Grant I will cry tears of joy
  13. Google Gemini thinks Grant is a 2nd or 3rd rounder!
  14. ordering a pizza and watching with the cats. They're ready for some ball, even if it's just picking players. They'll see highlights of each player, and that is enough to tide them over this time of year.
  15. Bills are in a good spot to trade up for a real difference maker if everything goes right... You just never know.. Teams could get QB and WR crazy and all of a sudden a bunch of the linemen fall to later picks
  16. the Bills trading up 10 spots and drafting a 340 pound DT? pretty much my dream scenario, aside from him somehow falling to them at 30
  17. IMO Deion will be his coach in the NFL one day too. Bad team drafts him, it goes so-so, they fire the HC and bring in Deion to maximize their investment.
  18. I turn on WGR this morning and hear them discussing the possible DTs... And of course the big guy (Walker) is "too underdeveloped" in his lower body and all the 340 pounds is up high... There's always a reason not to draft the big guys... If he was 298 pounds soaking wet then he would be a "high motor, high character guy" who would fit right in and disappear on gamedays. But I repeat myself.
  19. of course... always the skinny guy. We need size at DT!
  20. the Bills drafting a skinny DT
  21. ok, I could get on board! 330 is a bit light but he's only 6'3''
  22. This is my dream DT Even with Beane and McDermott telling him to slim down he could lost 60 pounds and still be 400
  23. I should have said "basically impossible to do" but when I think of "clue chip generational player" on defense he just comes to mind. I grew up a Bills fan in the 80's and 90's and even I forgot just how absolutely dominant that guy was until I went back and watched some old games and looked at his stats. The guy was just built different. 10 sacks at age 37 with Washington, and 9 sacks at age 39. Even 5 sacks at age 40 is crazy. But here... Guy had 14-19 sacks most of his prime seasons. He might be more of a once in a lifetime player than once in a generation, though.
  24. Put Bruce Smith in his prime on this team and we already would have 1-2 SB wins with no other changes. Obviously not easy to do.
  25. I like this, because all that happened was the Bengals stayed the same but burned a ton of cap and cash. They are the same team they were last season when they missed the playoffs. Burrow will throw for 6000 yards and 51 TDs and they will finish 8-9 but "be the team nobody wants to see in the tournament (that they won't make)!"
