  1. Amazing catch and throw! Also huge hit on the kickoff
  2. Titans defender looking for a kill shot got his own guy.
  3. The fewer the flags, the better the game. Watching that Cleveland Arizona game was nuts... Flags every other play. It's too much. Call the obvious stuff and let the players play football. when the refs become a story it's bad for everyone.
  4. One thing that's interesting is that it seems like the playoff games have fewer penalties. That could mean better teams=fewer penalties, but I think it also means better, more experienced refs= fewer penalties.
  5. My list is pretty much the same as most posted, but my "could've been a contender" pick is Losman. Tons of talent, but a bit immature and frankly weird when he came here. Unfortunately, the coaching and the culture was poor, and instead of competent mentors with a plan it was the last disasterous year of Mike Mularkey, a guy who quit his job at the end of the year, and Dick Jauron, who is a pretty decent defensive coordinator who has no business running an entire team. He was completing 62-63% of his passes over the 2 years when he saw real playing time. For a guy who was known more for long passes to Lee Evans than much of anything else, he did make some decent throws in the short and intermediate game as well. He's my pick for "might've been good" had he been on a competent team with real leadership. Having his leg broken in training camp where there were often fights and generally out of control players doing their own thing pretty much speaks for itself. Coaching was putrid, and the organization was such a mess from the GM down.
  6. Great post! This is why I try not to get too bent out of shape about it, as long as the egregious roughing the passer is followed during that same drive with a timely holding call on 2nd or 3rd down, which could be called almost any play anyway.
  7. They usually make up for obviously terrible calls later on, unless tom Brady is playing.
  8. Gotta be honest... Never thought this one would be entertaining but most of the primetime games have been decent lately!
  9. How did the refs screw Seattle? They helped them out by doing that
  10. Agreed... Not a great day for RedZone today... Lots of blah matchups. Good news is Cleveland and LA Chargers lost!
  11. Browns are going to win.
  12. Remember the Lamar threads last Monday until late in the 3rd quarter? Let's see the whole game. Cleveland will be in it at the end. That said, he might be the 3rd best QB in his division.
  13. TB doesn't get called for PI I see
  14. Jaguars job will be a primo gig. Great young talent at QB, you know you have a dynamic prospect at RB, some nice pieces on the roster, and a division that isn't all that great. Not to mention likely another top 5 draft pick. Plus, after Urban Meyer's 8-17 game tenure you'll get a LOT of leeway.
  15. Based on the research I've been able to do, it seems as if each team's strength and conditioning coach handles the halftime orange slices and PBJ sandwiches. That's got to be a lot of sandwiches to make for an entire team.
  16. Just listened on the way back from work: Tasker is back!
  17. I could see Frazier to Chicago when/if Nagy is finally let go, for reasons mentioned above: connection to the Bears as a member of that 85 team. Plus the chance to work with a young, dynamic QB with a high ceiling who is a bit raw and needs some time. Sound familair? I could see Frazier trying the same formula there: strong defense, weapons for the QB and a disciplined tight locker room. WAY easier in Chicago than Las Vegas, where you have Mark Davis hanging around.
  18. Does the home team provide the sandwiches and oranges, or did the Bills bring them along on the trip?
  19. Both have that grittiness that can win ugly games when needed. Mahomes needs the big pretty plays. He's amazingly talented, no doubt but guys like Allen and Jackson can will their teams to wins
  20. When it gets ugly and dirty Lamar is at his best. Gotta respect that. I want to root against him but he's such a likeable guy and great player.
  21. Lamar is fun to watch for sure and never out of a game
  22. Well... Reich knows how that feels on the other end
