  1. 3 for 42. Sammy not a part of the scoring, and a small part of the offense even today. Eeesh. Deonte!
  2. I always liked Cordy. Wish we knew if this foot thing was chronic or not.
  3. If he is a FA should be able to get him for a 4th. I would love. LOVE it, but can't see McBeane biting on this one (sadly). Then again, a 4th would be a cheap test drive for McBeane. Sign him if he is not a problem.
  4. And used to BBQ with his neighbors in Hamburg after the games. What a fella! Hope he rides the pine next week. I will have to see if a little of Briscoe's magic can counteract the beard.
  5. Terrified. You see that Jets game last year. Like the dude was working roots on us or something, sick black-art voodoo coming out of the beard.
  6. If per above Woods is the better all-around receiver than Watkins, then so is Jordan Matthews. Heart, blocking - all of the things Woods does well Matthews does well. And I agree about Woods, wish we kept him - with him and Matthews we would have a pretty decent receiving core and less pressure on young Z.
  7. How could Tampa have hired Fitzbeardy as a back-up. It is GUARANTEED that Winston gets hurt. Everyone knows that Fitz as back-up is the kiss of death for your starter. Thank goodness Winston back next week.
  8. Rams: Let's see, Gurley, Sammy, Woods and the "franchise QB" that took a zillion picks to get their hands on. Well, they put up a whopping 10 points. Hell, TT can do that. Point is (i) all teams have down days offensively and (ii) Sammy is not the automatic cure for the offense. We should stay the course. Let McBeane pick a QB if they like the value and build the roster. We will get our weapons - that we are competitive this year is a gift. And I would not rather 4 wins than 8. I think it is far better for the part of the roster that is already here to believe we are not that far away. Once you have Cleveland levels of suck it is very hard to pull up.
  9. He did almost kill AJ Green though. I would not want to anger Zo.
  10. Agree with this Sorry - three above. Don't agree we have typical depth
  11. I see it as mostly good for a rook, but I am a relentless optimist!
  12. Rooting for the kid. As mentioned before, I happen to know the family. He loves the game and works his tail off. Hope he grades out okay!
  13. How do folks think he played? Seemed okay to me - not an obvious problem spot. Anyone have insight?
  14. We are too thin to win missing what we were missing today. Missed Gaines a lot I thought.
  15. This team is much better than last year's 3-2 team. Regardless of final record, the arrow is up and it is obvious. Lorax almost killed AJ Green.
  16. 3-2 certainly a lot less good than 4-1, but seems to me they are much better than they were and are headed in the right direction. Those 200+ yards rushing against games last year reflected a gutless team that quit on its coach - despite our 7-9. This team is nothing like that.
  17. Team is really good though. We are scary thin, but really folks - we have to love this team. Can't afford injuries. Maybe we need to upgrade QB next year (I trust these guys to know), but they play their guts out every weak and generally are not stupid. Today felt different too - we could have won, they made the big mistakes. We did not have enough today, but I don't think a player in that locker will be down on the teams chances in the second half. Get healthy, make the playoffs. Clearly won't win the SB this year, but I like trying to build a winning mentality much more than tanking. Next year, who knows!
  18. I like Peterman, but OP must be young. If you have not seen the likes of Dennis Shaw, Dan Darragh and countless others, you may not have a full appreciation of just how bad it could be. I do trust this admin to know if there is a point where it is likely Peterman can give us a better chance than TT. I don't think that is likely this year, but these guys should know if he is ready.
  19. Ours is a team that really can't take injuries. Won't be the case next year if they continue to improve the roster at the pace they have. So glad Darby is gone. Glad we are not tying money up in Sammy. Glad we have six picks. If TT had a deeper roster, you could make a deep playoff run with him. Would I rather have Mariotta or the equivalent? Yup,
  20. Yeah, when I said he was "okay" I was not praising TT. Or damning with faint praise. I thought he had a tough game. By "okay" I meant he was - meh. Mediocre. Not a positive difference maker, but really not why we lost all things considered.
