Wr Overload and what really needs to get done
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall
Playcalling felt a bit stale too as the year went on, which i assume is something that happens to a first time coordinator. -
Rodgers Traded to Jets Officially
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's very likely going to break down this way. Their defense is good - but at the end of the season their numbers looked a lot like buffalo's on a per game basis. They get a last place schedule too which helps them. We get Jags, Bucs, Bengals - they get Browns Texans Falcons... Jags and bengals are likely the best 2 in that group. Offense: Wilson looks legit, Hall has some home run ability there, offensive line has some pieces but they had a lot of injuries there last year. Their WR's behind Wilson don't really jump out to me. I think they'll try to get a lineman in the first. I expect they'll keep most passes close to the LOS and use Rodgers quick release, and only really ask him to do much on 3rd downs and in the RZ. Reed and Gardner are for real, Williams has turned a corner from good to great, and they have some good rotational depth pieces there. My concern if i was a fan of their team is that they had 10 games where they scored fewer than 20 points. They were 1-9 in those games, and in some of them it was abundantly clear that if the team playing the Jets didn't turn the ball over, they would probably win. I don't know how to quantify, and it isn't an exact science, but when you're playing a team with literally no offense it has to seep in a little bit to the offense/coaching staff to play a different game. -
WR Allen Robinson to Steelers ???????????????????
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ehhhh... They still have potential for a solid offense if stafford and kupp are healthy. Playmaker wise they could use a WR who can get open. But a lot of why their offense didn't work was protection They need to improve their offensive line a lot though, and their defense is Donald and not much else ( i do like Hoecht - sort of a young lorenzo alexander with the mid-season position switch and i love that kinda thing). But their defense wasn't good with Ramsay, Wagner, and Floyd either. -
I mean - his best season came after he left the jets though. In any case - he's basically a slightly younger John Brown. Anderson's been pretty lousy the last 2 seasons.

How do the Bills win the Super Bowl next year?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Win the Super bowl? If you can avoid KC or Cincy that'd be cool. 2008 Steelers won a super bowl by beating San Diego, Baltimore, and Arizona (Brady was injured, and Manning's colts lost to the chargers). Get hot in January not in September is the big one. Home field is important, but we can't make it our identity for an entire season. Going to likely need to beat KC in their building, so figure out how you are going to do that. -

I'd also like Dorsey to save some of his better looks for the playoffs. I think we need to get stouter against the run, since the super bowl opponent from the NFC will likely be a stronger running team like philly, SF, Dallas. -
Seems like a lock for 600 yards and 5 TDs when you look at his stats. Good catch rate, 10 fumbles across 1700 touches, and is a big strong dude. I'd assume this is competition for Harris? Or they may carry 4 and just have 3 active depending on game type and injuries.

Manuel battled in that one. We were down 27-3 at one point and lost 34-31, with a very good chance to have won the game. The end of game turnover on downs was unfortunate.

Jeff Okudah traded to Atlanta for a 5th
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
That makes sense - having a former corner as a coordinator does also seem like something they would want to improve at. Depends how they fall, if someone wants to jump LV or Atlanta they're in a great spot to trade down. Tampa or Washington come to mind. They can also possibly sit there and get the top scouted corner in the draft. On the other hand... the top scouted corner in the draft is the reason for this thread. -

GOAT debate related to era Montana vs Brady
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
3 MVPs, 5 super bowl MVPs, 7 championships. He was MVP of the last undefeated regular season team. Career numbers at time of retirement 1st all time in passing yards 1st all time in passing TDs 10th all time in passer rating 3rd and 5th on the list for most passing yards in a single season 1 of 3 QBs to throw for 50 TDs in a season It's not just longevity when you do it at such a high level consistently for so absurdly long. And this is with the patriots building an offense around scat backs, slot WRs, and TE's for the majority of his time there. -
I'd like to see someone brought in as a 1T. Phillips and Oliver are both 3T's even if phillips is built like a 1. Settle is a nice rotational player, but legit none of our DTs are going to be here next season.

He's better against zone... but you need to have a good plan to get to mahomes if you're gonna play man. He will scramble all day for free yards, will buy time all day which is a huge challenge in man, and is not afraid to send it down the field. He's sacked on about 4% of dropbacks, so ur lucky for about 2 in a game.

Nordstrom has a notoriously loose return policy 🙂 Still insanely unprofessional - I'd say calling an audible at the LOS would be less unprofessional than calling your ex coaches.

I love that he runs around for 20 seconds then immediately throws a near interception.

FA Cameron Fleming RT Why don't we go get him?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
They did only allow 286 points - which if you add in a 3rd game at average they were probably 2nd in the league in points allowed. Despite the team being 31st in giveaways on offense. Despite major injuries to Miller, White, Hyde. They were by no means perfect, but they were still a top 10 defense. Yards per play 5.1 - top 10. 27 takeaways - Top 5 Opposing NY/A 5.6 - which is tied for 4th Rush Y/A 4.3 - Tied for 11th Scoring % allowed 31% - 3rd in the league Turnover % 14.3% - Which is 5th 3rd down % 37.6% - 7th in the league Red zone 44.9$ - 2nd in the league Denver's defense was very good at a lot of things on defense and they still finished pretty poorly so i assume its possible, but that would say that without Allen we would have the worst offense in the league. Possible - but if we don't have Allen we i assume have... someone else whos relatively starting caliber. -
A right tackle who isn't a turnstile would help Knox usage. Teams starting blitzing more as the year went on too, they saw Allen's tendency to just let it fly and figured thats better than having him run around back there. Just be able to do both - thats what makes Mahomes so good. He can do all the things josh can, but hes also content to just carve you up with screens and short passes.

Your Bills-related unpopular opinion
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh mine was just a joke from Eastbound and down 🙂. I have a few thoughts on QBs and lifting weights. Yes its important to exercise, however looking like a shredded bodybuilder does literally nothing to improve performance on the field. It won't generate more arm strength, won't make you much faster, and exposes you to a possible litany of injuries. Like how stupid would you feel if Allen tore his pec lifting or something dumb like that? I'd rather he just run to keep the cardio up, lift weights occasionally (and probably keep it to a couple times a week, with comparatively low weights to his teammates), and do things like yoga and pilates to avoid anything relating to soft tissue injuries like hamstrings and groin pulls.
