  1. Maybe don't throw that... or run that play?
  2. He's taller than me at 6' I'm 5'7 210, im obviously much fatter than him. But hes about as 225 as donald trump.
  3. Usually theres a premier league game sunday at like 10 or 11 on USA/peacock so i'll watch that.
  4. I kinda like good morning football? At least they have fun with it and don't act like their opinions matter.
  5. Yep - Fields is bigger and more athletic than Taylor too. However Fields also gets sacked more than Tyrod (who when starting was in that 8-10% sack rate while fields is in the 12-15% range). Fields turns the ball over more: 28 fumbles in 2 years vs 17 for Tyrod in 3 years at buffalo, and an INT% of around 3.5% vs Taylors 1.5%. For context - allen threw 3 int's in week 1 and has only thrown 78 passes so far in 2023.. and his INT% IS 3.8%. So you're getting 2 TOs a game with half the TDs of an Allen. So they function similarly in what they offer from a passer from a strengths perspective, and there is a more dynamic running threat - but he's also more likely to get sacked, fumble, turn the ball over than a Tyrod.
  6. Yeah - and he turned some of the negatives into... mildly positive gains against NYJ. I think one of the big losers was a pitch actually too. Probably just remembering a 2nd and 15 draw and being pissed off. Good to know though!
  7. I still wish we wouldn't run him on like 9 draws a game. Occasionally they tackle him and its like a 4 yard loss.
  8. Completions are gonna happen... usually at pretty high frequency. A good ILB today will tackle and limit the YAC, while also having the instincts and freedom to read the QB and make a play from time to time. With his length and athleticism he could close some of those windows which some QBs definitely struggle with. I felt he lacked the playmaking component. He hasn't forced a fumble since 2018. He had 2 INTs and 3 sacks over the last 3 seasons. So to me it's really hard to justify paying him a ton of money when he just isn't instinctual enough to read the QB, or physical enough to cause fumbles.
  9. Missed camp so rhythm is definitely off too. Those corner routes, back shoulder throws, rpo's... so much of that is timing and windows and without reps you just don't get there.
  10. Home-field advantage. If you watch enough film of their silent counts you'll see the guard give go ahead, and the center snaps shortly thereafter. Do that enough times and you kinda see the tells on when the snap is coming.
  11. I myself dabbled in pacifism... not in 'nam of course.
  12. I think this was that reminder to the league that... Buffalo is not dead, they are not broken. They have a good team, a good team dynamic, and all the hullabaloo from the offseason was just noise. The best TEAMS go far, not just QBs, coaches, etc. These guys play for each other and it shows. We lost a close one to the jets... we lost one last year to them too. I expect that we're going to want to really kick their butts in November.
  13. I usually drive so i tend to not get hammered, but i'll have a few pops before i go in. Stop drinking at noon, order a chicken finger bucket, a water, and a cup of coffee. I will say i have had some rough experiences in the 300s, so i've been spending a bit more to sit a little closer. My wife (a pats fan) and her two sisters had beer dumped on their heads by the girl in the row behind them. I texted the hotline and they tossed the girl and she was NOT happy - but cmon now, be better. The young 20 somethings are the ones causing a lot of the ruckus i feel. Went to my first away game at arrowhead a year ago - nobody gave me a lick of trouble. They'd all joke that we were gonna get thrashed and embarrassed, but after that TJ pick they all sort of just shook my hand and left me alone.
  14. He's a vet - he has to sign and isn't on waivers or anything. Only way he's doing that is if its for a different likely playoff bound team. He came here to get up to speed with a new defense, and hopefully contribute. I believe we were interested in him before he signed with Houston, so I think he came here knowing the spot isn't set in stone, and he likes coaches/gm, and there's a chance to get that ring.
  15. Their front 4 isn't playing well either. They absolutely manhandled buffalo in the playoffs a year ago, we struggle with big stout DT teams.
  16. Dolphins are an interesting like... all-in case? They added Armstead, Ramsay, Hill, and Chubb's deals to a young core and it seems to be working. But they have a lot of contributors on rookie deals beyond Tua, and they were all drafted in a condensed little window when they had like 20 picks in 2 years. Just a weird example of a team drafting a ton of talent in rounds 1/2 over a 2 year period, and getting to the end of those deals and having to make tough decisions all at once. 5th year options and tags are just killers in your ability to maneuver in free agency (all cap hit, can't restructure) - and they have 4 of those coming up quickly (Tua, Jackson - he sucks but lets include him for this exercise, Waddle, Phillips) - as well as likely tag usage in 2024 (Wilkins) and 2025 (Holland). It's no wonder they traded Igbinoghene - even if he improved they wouldn't have been able to add him to a 5th year if they wanted to.
  17. Oh man... sounds like a weekend vegas bender.
  18. We will want him for stretch run - but i don't think you give him a ton of snaps right away. Maybe lag behind floyd and rousseau and just use him situationally more. You paid him to get to QBs in the playoffs. Now obviously if we aren't looking playoff bound midseason this plan is gone and you do what you gotta do to get a ticket.
  19. I mean... doesn't change much if the tackle sees him and blocks him.
  20. Could have some escalators in his contract and garbage time helps hit those thresholds.
  21. The regression comes when... nobody can make a play. So he tries to take it upon himself to do it sometimes.
  22. He led the team with 6. 20 tackles would be even more impressive when you consider he played 34 snaps.
  23. McDaniels said it after the game - you can't just reverse a team to death - they'll pick up on it. They got a big play there, a well timed screen, a great back shoulder throw, and adams made a really nice play in the red zone. They couldn't sustain because, the back shoulder throws will get defended from time to time because its a timing thing. Going to the well with reverses can cause negative plays that kill drives. They couldn't run the ball at all, and their protection was struggling with 4 man rushes. Jimmy G did a nice job maneuvering some ugly pockets but he tended to take his check downs - which buffalo was basically content to give him. When you can't do the basic things, the rest of the game starts to get away from you as you're constantly behind the sticks.
  24. I'm not going to drag someone for tripping. He's going to score some TDs for us this year in the red zone, and i hope we use him down the field at some point.
  25. Get their guys gassed and watch the plays happen.
