  1. 2 options: 1 - Talk to my brother... tell him to knock it off etc. 2 - Post something on social media and really give this non-story some legs... That was more about usage and money. He got paid here, and he gets the most targets in the league. So what does he want? I'll tell ya this - they aren't trading him to the cowboys, and they aren't cutting him. Is he going to be happy when all this gets him traded to the giants or packers? Doing nothing will also make this fizzle out. There's no football for 2 days, were the last team that played. There's a pretty big game tonight, so i think it'll die out naturally. Sometimes PR will dictate a response, other times you can just address it behind the scenes and let it go.
  2. As someone in IT sales - its such a challenge. Need CIO and CTO approval for larger projects. IT teams meet with our engineers, scope everything out. The layer above them then balks at price and wants to rip out all the things they asked for, then it goes up to the CIO and they need to hit a different budget. So we spent all this time proving stuff out, and then the customer buys like 1/3 the solution and the CTO wonders why nothings automated and everything is delayed.
  3. The referee changing the rules mid-game was the highlight for me. "his intention was to give himself up"... intention?! I didn't intend to throw that interception so i'd like the ball back. Idiotic. This is why i didn't care in the slightest how we beat the giants this year. Refs are terrible.
  4. I don't mind blitzing - but i don't like running the same 0 blitz back to back. Why not line up in coverage and blitz a corner or something?
  5. Trying to think of ones not mentioned - these aren't as outlandish, just billsy losses. Stevie johnson drop game vs. Pittsburgh Brady Bucs game Charles Clay Fins loss
  6. I don't hate passing on 3rd and 1 if you plan to go for it on 4th and 1. I don't hate passing on 4th and 1. I do hate running a damn mesh play on 4th and 1, with no PA, and allen standing in the pocket. It doesn't suit our strengths, and its a yard.
  7. I didn't play much QB, but i did play running back. Usually you are getting that slammed into your stomach. There's an area between fastball and moon shot though. His passing trajectories have been off for a bit now.
  8. Why i'd be relatively content for him to play here as long as he wants. He avoids big hits, has plus hands, and runs great routes. When he loses a bit of his speed he'll be a very good slot WR.
  9. Why get a 5'6 WR... if you aren't going to ever use him in the capacity he was signed for. I'm not saying give him a starting job or something either. He's quick and shifty, and we send him deep iso on a 3x1. Better yet - Josh can lock onto him pre-snap and throw it anyway. He should be sprinting across the formation several times a game. Even if its just eye candy, eye candy can screw up run fits, create gaps in zones, etc. 3rd and mediums... gives you an outlet with a decent chance to break a tackle. Etc. Why sign this guy if you don't plan to use him in the slightest? If you wanted to throw corner fades why sign him? Sign Chark or pay D-hop? If you wanted a conventional slot player, why not Thielen or meyers? Flat out speed? Campbell hardman, or berrios. All these dudes are available and we get a guy with no plans to use him. Just going to pay this guy way more than mckenzie to do even less somehow.
  10. Daboll was terrible everywhere he went before here. QB play is usually the big factor. Brady i felt was originally brought in as the potential dorsey replacement if things went well enough that he got head coaching interviews. He now gets a trial run as the season has shifted into preservation mode. I think his role is helping design plays and the playbook, implementing plays within the walkthrough that you want to use, etc. So i don't think he's doing a very good job at the moment, but we don't really know whats going on there so its all speculative.
  11. I think the offense is considerably more predictable with him out. His hands have been poor all year. He has a knack for making that big play on 3rd down or whatever though.
  12. Can throw a few wrinkles here and there, but bye week would be where they might be able to make some more significant adjustments.
  13. I would assume for that to happen he helped right the ship.
  14. I think the thought process is that he's thinking too much pre and post snap, and overcomplicating things so his fundamentals suffer? Either way - whatevers going on with him is definitely mental. There may be some physical limitations with the injured arm, but thats not causing him to make the majority of his mistakes.
  15. There were misses though. 4th and less than 2... in the gun with no PA. No runs on that 4 and out drive when the team finally had good field position. 4th quarter drive - 5 passes and 1 run - punt. That stuff is infuriating.
  16. Save enough time that if they make it you get a play was my understanding...? I probably let them run the FG unit on and then call timeout... then see if they want to do it again.
  17. If buffalo wants any chance at salvaging this season, they need Allen to be probably their best player. This is an attempt to try and get that out of him.
  18. Diggs is a solid route runner who takes care of his body - i'm not worried about his ability right now or probably even for the next 2 seasons. He can transition into the slot and likely excel at it. I'm more worried he'll be an offseason issue again and want out. Part of why i don't think you can "rebuild" - you have to "re-tool". Lot of draft picks - really need to hit on those 4 picks in rounds 1-3. Players likely gone - Morse, Hines, Harty, Davis, Sherfield, Settle, Phillips, Lawson, Ford, Hyde, Jackson Possible cap casualties - Tre, Neal, Poyer Players you'd like to bring back - AJE, Floyd, DQ, Hyde (assuming mcdermott is still here) I feel like you have to cut tre unfortunately - but replacing him has to be players on the roster if you're doing that. QB - Allen RB - Cook - ??? - ??? FB - Gilliam (so little cost savings - they could move on and it wouldn't move the needle a bit) WR - Diggs - ??? - Shakir --- ??? --- Shorter TE - Knox, Kincaid T - Dawkins, Brown, Van Demark G - McGovern, Torrance C - Bates I think there are positions to upgrade here - RT, C probably... but add a WR with some real speed and hire someone to get allen's head on straight again and the offense will be fine. Allen playing better is the big key. Defense its ... DE - Miller, Johnathan DT - Oliver - ??? NT - ??? - ??? DE - Groot WLB - Milano - Williams MLB - Bernard - Spector CB - White - Benford - Douglas - Elam NB - Johnson - Neal FS - Hamlin - ??? SS - Poyer - ???
  19. Gotta win the 3 division games... and at least 2 of the other 4, probably 3.
  20. Defense 😆
  21. I'm sorry but how the hell do you throw this? 15 yard out... at a corner who is... 10 YARDS from the line of scrimmage and will have his eyes on Allen at least until harty breaks.... It's also underthrown... basically a jump ball to the smallest guy on the team. You could have moss and thats a bad play. Take smash.. high low... whatever you wanna call it - and burn it out of the playbook.
  22. I didn't get that.... 3x1 spy with dorian again, 7 in coverage with 5 across. Force the 4th down. Make payton decide to go for it or kick the long FG. I mean hell you can man match with safety help over the top.
  23. I thought it did at this point in the season Might be just what this team needs...
