We were on the 31 yard line - why would we punt there? Just go for it. Considering he spent the halftime break practicing punting, i am not shocked that he was having some mental issues. Do we know what happened on the shank? Did he slip?

I mean... he's on this team for this season. I don't think he'll be here next season. Thats fine.

He played 14 offensive snaps, made a nice block on a cook swing pass for a few yards, and caught his only target and broke the tackle for YAC. Between that and a few nice fair catches on short punts in the first half - i thought he added something.

I don't really care about his catch% when the majority of his targets are lower percentage throws further down the field.

It's just like a player drawing a foul in basketball. You can do it too, so i don't have much of an issue with it. Just don't push him down, if anything hold him up on his feet and you won't get a call.

I thought him and williams struggled on their first... full drive action. Just some general missed tackles, angles, run fits, coverage gaps. Whatever. But i felt they both settled into just.. playing ball. Go get the ball carrier, pass catcher, limit yac, wrap them up and toss them around. Do what linebackers do! Guy knows beane and mcd well, and they trust him as a vet hand whether he's still got the athleticism or not.

Both have had some drop issues their entire careers. Both are plus blockers. Knox is probably our most consistent red zone target. Davis is more of a downfield threat to stretch that last level of the defense either vertically or horizontally. Both are good players - we act like they're trash, but both would play a lot of snaps if they were on... any of the remaining playoff teams most likely.

Slowed down to wait for his block i thought. The only guy who could've tackled him just... i dunno punched at the ball and just bounced right off him like tecmo bowl. Tackle him? Mahomes almost always goes out of bounds. He does try and initiate contact out of bounds and stretch the yards he gets to try and draw flags.

With the injuries at LB, and banged up secondary - he needs to be an x factor in the next week.

Lot of clutch conversions too. he was basically tackled for no reason on the shakir TD too.

I'm planning on going - more annoyed about getting out in traffic than anything else since i live in the north towns.

Technically martin had a better in20% than moorman had in his entire career... I think punting has evolved quite a bit in the last 10 years though. There are guys who can blast it quite far. Another thing they do now is spin the ball differently, occaisionally knuckle them or end over end, and there are a lot more lefties than there used to be which also can be tough for returners.

Ah bobby april, i can't remember us running a fake FG or punt for that matter. I remember he had a really wonky kickoff play that got called a penalty and he was absolutely livid. I wanna say it was mcgee (one of the slot corners) caught the ball in front of the tight end or whatever who waved fair catch, and they called it a personal foul and kick catch interference.

13 carries for 55 yards and 0 TDs.... Oh and 6 of those were fumbles. He was a good punter - great for a few years. I just feel with the windy weather its tough to hit the top of the league these days as some of these guys can really rip them.

It's buffalo - we will never have the best punter and kicker in the league. He is 29th in net average. The difference between 29th and 12th is 2.4 yards - across 51 punts that is 122.4 yards of field position. Having said that - he had a few poor games and some poor coverage made the issues worse. Couple nice points though - 13th at 5.9% in TB percentage. 4th at 47.1% in in20 percentage. Buffalo was also 4th in opponents drive start average at the 27.1 yard line.

I personally don't like the 2 minute warning. Just feels like an ad break.

Rudolph is currently averaging 7.7 yards after catch per completion which would be best in the league by a full yard. He's been propped up by a few long catch and runs. He isn't exactly slinging it, nor do i expect him to in poor weather.

They detest one another too - healthy amount of trash talking and im sure it kills wilkins to basically always be on the losing end of it.

They 0 blitz because it takes away the run threat on 3rd down and the red zone. Other teams will do this if he continues to make reckless decisions in those situations. The routes need to be shorter and quicker, they need to continue to use those WR screens to punish the opponent, and the ball needs to be out quicker in those situations. I don't think it was a good playcall for the situation either fwiw.
