  1. Disagree, he had his moments but lacked presence mainly for me. Thought he would do better in Cleveland. Where do you stand on Allen? Lost faith?
  2. That's a weird one the long ball. I feel his shorter game is better than it was so there is that!
  3. I think when Allen plays badly he is worse than Tyrod was, Tyrod was decent. When Allen plays his best he's on a higher level.
  4. Forget the yards. Look at the presence and drives WHEN ALLEN IS GOOD.
  5. I wouldn't go that far. The main difference between Allen and Tyrod is that Allen can lead game winning drives with more regularity. He's more of a clutch player. I remember Tyrod playing great against Seattle and then couldn't seal the TD at the end. I agree that Allen is inconsistent and indecisive but I saw him be consistent and decisive also in the second half.
  6. He's not put A COMPLETE, Consistent game together yet, he plays differently at times in the game and so IN THAT there are things that concern people. Bigger picture You are right about the last two weeks (aside from the one pick in the Titans game). More aware of the game situation, throwing the ball away. He's done what was asked of him to do, to be more responsibile. He was more hesitant at the start of the dolphins game I thought, looked like he didn't want to throw a pick - but who can blame him?? However this indecisiveness at times is what Allen has shown AS WELL AS THE GOOD. After the half against the dolphins he was GREAT. You can't ask for more there. Allen looked the business. At other times you can ask for more and be concerned about what's going on - he clicks into gear, but when he's not in that gear it's all a bit more messy and odd. There needs to be a conversation about these points without people thinking posters are saying Allen is all bad. As long as he puts those clutch drives in a game he will win games for the bills. DONT IGNORE what is there in games - there's the great Allen when he clicks into gear and and there's the indecisive Allen who looks 'nervous'. No one wants a different quarterback at this point but to shut down all talk of his inadequacies is ignorant.
  7. Devin looks like a chain-smoker! Let's Go Bills!!
  8. Yes. I'm back in California now. Remember if josh doesn't connect on the deep ball, he should go underneath.
  9. He's done Well! He is a very intelligent leader I think. Game management worries me and I would NOT say he's a natural at it. Timeouts etc. I love the 4th down aggressiveness which is not something I thought we would get from him. One thing that concerns me is whether he can really motivate these players continually into the future, alot depends on results but he manages expectations well. We always come out of the half on offense without as much urgency as we do at other times and I ask myself the question is it to do with McDermott's style at half time. Put it this way though, some of the browns office wanted him and they must be KICKING themselves. Haha - Marrone. you were close.
  10. I personally see you as being more emotional about this argument than me. No one's saying the bills should fear these teams mate, but they are BETTER teams than who the bills have faced so far. Look at the records. Like another poster said, recognize your stubbornness. ?
  11. Allen still has the potential to throw the other team the game. Love the guy but he's a loose cannon at this point.
  12. McDermott Will be fully aware of how tough this stretch will be. He will not be thinking we have made the playoffs now. I do not agree at this point that this is a VERY good team - yet. It is a VERY good defense.
  13. Cowboys are 3-3. Eagles are 3-3. Ravens are 4-2. Cowboys game is away on national TV. Total 10-8 record. Eagles won the Superbowl two years ago. I understand it is not the exact same team. Same head coach. Ravens have same head coach that won them the Superbowl. Teams we have beaten this season have a combined record of 4-18. Like I say the expectation will change around the bills and its how they can cope with that. Statistically the eagles, ravens, cowboys are better teams than they have played. With 3 good QBs aswell. The way the league works is you beat teams who are more respectable and you get more respect. As we know at the moment everyone's really ignoring the bills like they do. My point is that these are harder games than the first 4 wins.
  14. Whipped dog syndrome or passionate non thinking fan syndrome? These are bigger tests than what has been played so far because the bills will be expected to win and therefore be under more pressure with a QB who is still developing. It's a logical argument. If you dont see that then you need an IQ test. Don't get this confused with me not expecting the bills to have a winning record now and getting into the post season. But yes I am skeptical.
  15. Joe, a 4-1 record is great and you can only beat the teams in front of you. The jest, giants, Bengals and titans were all good wins, with INCREDIBLE defensive play. The patriots was an uncomfortable loss. The jest, giants, Bengals, titans are not particularly good teams. Under McDermott the bills have done a good job of beating the teams they should beat. I'm sure you would agree that the ravens, eagles, cowboys are a bigger test as is seeing how they deal with a winning record. How do the bills deal with being favourites in games? Let's see but great start. Go bills
  16. Or are remaining skeptical until they see the bills beat a good team.
  17. Just seen that GMF show predicts a bills patriots AFC championship game!
  18. I love the shittiness of the Oakland stadium but maybe that's just me. New stadiums often have a stale feel, even if only on TV
  19. Yeah, remember its LA. Different rules apply there. They NEEDED a franchise. Now they have TWO and san Diego has none and Oakland soon to have none. A detriment to the league
