  1. Really? It makes sense for Buffalo to offload a 7-year $60 million contract for a *Huge* risk - Manning's 5-year $100 million contract? I know you prefaced it as hearsay, just sayin.. Tim-
  2. I don't buy this story for one second, sorry. Tim-
  3. Ok, IMO, we need to draft Coples, Upshaw, or Curry at pick 10 whoever is the ebst available at that slot. In the meantime we have other needs. In no particualr order these are the guys in each position we have a chance at. QB - Not that we need one, but Thigpen wasn't very exciting in the time we saw him. So, Chad Henne could be signed fairly cheap, IMO, so too could Charlie Batch from Pit. WR - Need at least one more, maybe two. Resign SJ, and add Roy Williams (might break out and is low risk). There are a whole host of WR's out there and there would be no excuse if the Bills FO don't grab at least one of them. I look at Williams not because he would be my first pick, but he would come cheap, IMO and Buffalo will give him his one last shot to make it in the NFL. TE - Do we resign Vhandler, or do we go all in for Finley, or Olson? OL - Unlike a lot here, I think we can add one or two in the draft. This is not as big a need as it was last year. DE - We need at least one beast in FA, and if we add one in our frist selection in the draft all the better. I'd like to see any one of the following three. Mario Williams, Robert Mathis, Or Abraham. LB - Let's face it we need them. I think this can be addressed in the draft but if one were to present in FA then I'd like to see Anthony Spencer added. Again, my goal here is to list guys we have a shot at getting not what I'd love to see.. CB - We're ok here especially if we can build the front 4 and or front 7 the way we want, but if I were looking to add someone it'd be Carlos Rodgers from SF. I thought he really came into his own this year. Will be big money to get him, but if not Finnigan will add attitude to our secondary. Rashean Mathis would be another good fit, IMO. Since we signed Lindell back (good move by the way) we are all set in the kicking game. All other needs can be found in the draft. What say you? Tim-

  5. They should have the wives of the Pro Bowl players play in slinky bikkinis.. NOW that would be soemthing to see.. Tim-
  6. No sure bets... exactly my point in a way.. Is Luck a sure bet? Tim-
  7. Well, I seem to be one of the very few that looks at this situation from a business point of view. I actually see Manning staying in Indy this year, and I see Indy tradin ght first pick for the other teams first, and second this year, their first next year, and perhaps their second next year too. Besides the QB position, the Colts have a lot of holes to fill on all sides of the ball. if it were me, I would trade the Luck pick and grab 4 or 5 sure bets in the draft. There's always next year, or the year after for the Colts. Of course this is all predicated on the idea that Manning clears the medical. On the flip-side, if they try and trade Manning (Which is petty near impossible with that contract)they will get nothing in return. So the question is, are the Colts truly looking to the future, 2, 3, 4 years down the road, or are they trying to get back to the playoffs next year? Ask yourself if you were the Bills GM and you had the Luck pick at number one. What would you do? Tim-
  8. I'm afraid to admit it to myself but the big name is going to be "Roy William's" and half the Bills nation will accept it as the "best we could have done", and the other half will hate it and will question his play every game next season. Me, well, I'd be somewhere in the middle. Williams does have talent, although admittedly no coach has yet been able to unleash it, but there is that outside chance that Williams can break out? If he could somehow find a home in Buffalo I suppose it's not that much of a leap that he does fit what Nix and Gailey are looking for. That is a verticle threat with speed.. Of course, Williams doesn't exactly scare the bejesus out of opposing DB's of late, but there is that "chance".. Would Williams be worth a 2 - 3 million gamble? Tim-
  9. There's a lot of caution when deciding to extend FJ, and most of that caution is good buisness sense, IMO. There is no greater fan of FJ than me, he is one of my favorite Bills of all time, but he is expendable from a business point of view. Gailey's offense last year was CLEARLY focused on the passing game, and RB's cathicng passes out of the back field is consistent with that scheme. Even if FJ doesn't burn it up in 2012, we have CJ and Choice that are every bit capable running behind this OL. I said it earlier this year that if a deal can be made (Strictly from a business standpoint) we should trade FJ to a Running Back hungry team and take nothing less than a 2nd rounder, or a 3rd and a 4th for him. Just my two cents.. Tim-
  10. Buffalo Bills: Morris Claiborne CB LSU - Really? You really think we need a CB before a pass rusher? Maybe, but I'm of the school of thought that says your secondary is as good as your front 4 .. I say the Bills lose big if we don't take a DE/OLB at number 10. Tim-
  11. So I watched th Senior Bowl game. Not a huge College Football guy, but since this draft is so important for the Bills (Heck they all are) I figured I'd DVR it and watch when the kiddies were in bed. Coples if he can play like he did in the gamne MUST be our pick. There was nothing he couldn't do. He can line up at LDE, RDE and NT if needed. Seconf place (using the bowl game as my only indicator) was Ingram. He was also a force, but Upshaw wasn't heard from much. I also like that kid Vinny Curry. Apparently, I am reading that most scouts leave before Thursday's practice as the game itself with its limits on schemes isn't a good gauge. Well, that may be so, but from what I saw Coples is the guy we should take. Thoughts, comments, opinions? Tim-
  12. $2500 will get a decent muffin and a good cup of coffee in NYC these days.. Go Giants!!! Tim-
  13. Is it just me or does anyone else think Harbaugh is a sore loser? Not only that, he seems to get all upset over obvious plays that go against them? He didn't even say anything to Coughlin justa quick touch of the hands and bye.. I don't like that guy, and I wouldn't want him as my coach. Tim-
  14. Lewis, Ingram, Hightower, and Upshaw are all solid picks. Coples is a bit of a gamble in my opinion, but with huge upside potential. If we could somehow nab any two of these guys in the first two rounds, I'd be very very excited about next year. Tim-
  15. After comparing Upshaws highlights to Mercilus I would have to go with Upshaw to be honest. Tim-
  16. With a name like Mercilus how can we not take him? I watched some highlight reel stuff on him and he looks good, but if I had one criticism it would be shedding blocks, and he tends to get caught in the backfield quite abit. All things that can be fixed with quality coaching. He seems perfect for us, and is fast as well. Tim-
  17. Yeah but what's worse is that because of this, the Jets might get Manning.. Not good.. Tim-
  18. So where's this Thoner dude? Tim-
  19. It bothered me that Troy and Joe were scatching their heads all game? Apologists for the Packers it seemed all game?? Let's face it, the Giants beat them in all facits of the game, and deserved to win. Tim-
  20. Of course it was made up.. It's the off season, we're supposed to talk about these kinds of things.. Anyway, although made up, it isn't completely out of the realm of possibility.. I'm with most, I wouldn't give FJ up for anything less than a mid 1st round pick up in the draft (If that ever presented itself), he's truly worth that much, IMO. Stranger things have happened.. Look at Atlanta? Look what they gave up last year for a WR, Jones?? Woulod they add FJ who is miles better than Turner, especially catching out of the backfield? Is a "candoitall" running back, the bump they need to win the big one? Tim-
  21. Well, that's why I asked for thoughts. Me, well I'd do it in a heartbeat if the situation presented itself. Freddies production can be made up by CJ and Choice next year. Even if not 100% at least to a managable degree. It wouldn't be stupid to get a first rounder fro FJ, it would be stupid to pass on that.. Tim-
  22. Well, yeah, but I look at that stupid Carson Palmer trade and I was thinking, well, why not? What team wouldn't want FJ? Which team is looking at drafting a RB in the first round this year? Tim-
  23. Who needs a solid running back in the league? Hear me out. FJ is 31 coming off an injury, yes great back no doubt but if we could get a 1st rounder for him, would you trade him? If we could lock up the two stud LB's from Bama, isn't it fair to say that CJ and Choice would manage 1200/14 yeard next season? Seems if this scenario played out, the Bills would benefit? Thoughts? Tim-
  24. Not to mention that he was essentially covering #3 and #4 WR's most of the time. I think he may well work out, but he needs some schoolin. Tim-
