I just experienced what the OP said. I was on an impromptu trip to Tampa to visit my dad in the hospital (he's fine). It was a whirlwind of a trip- 3 days total- and I wore my bills hat the whole time because I barely had time to comb my hair. Before I got to the plane omw out of Dulles, I got 5 "go Bills!" ...it continued, daily, for the entire trip. It's certainly a phenomena that's always existed (especially living in NoVA where there are TONS of WNY transplants), but it's DEFINITELY in overdrive after the Hamlin thing. It's nearly absurd at this point.
...but I'll say this- the public opinion of the Bills and their staff has swayed 100% in the positive direction since last Monday night. It's a testament to how incredibly well-prepared and in-tune this team is, not only with football, but with humans. We have an incredibly unique, and special team. It's not only a great time to be a Bills Fan, but an unusually fortunate situation in our lives to see this example of how a sports organization can affect humanity.
