I actually have been there a few times and the food is quite good. Hard not to smile at the name though!

In South Buffalo, that color would be called Richard's Wild Irish Rose.

He just wanted to see Buddy! -
I was there with the wife and 5 kids from her daycare in tow, so I did not see a lot of the actual practice. The kids had a great time - posters, photos, cards, face painting, running through the Bills Experience, food samples - and it was not too crowded. We picnicked on the far hill and did not see much real action. One thing that was cool - when we first got there Willis was doing a hand-stand for about 20 seconds, then lowered his chin toward the grass like a push-up, and finished by pushing off away from the ground and landing back on his feet! Unreal! I did see one long bomb from JP, caught in stride by Roscoe for a TD. Very tight D coverage but too far away to see who was blanketing him. Pitiful I know, as far as camp reports go, but I hope to do better tomorrow night. Today was for the kids.

Great report, Mike. I love what I am reading and seeing about JP and ZZ Gates. Tomorrow, I take my wife and the daycare to AM camp so I doubt I will see much football. My job tomorrow is to brainwash young children so they get Pavolvian training: Bill Logo = FUN! -
Kliff Kingsbury should be the starting QB

Actually, I did say that he was throwing dirt balls and receivers were diving for them or had NO chance to catch his passes the other day. He did a great job lobbing skyballs to emulate a punter in return drills though! Not that I am bitching. -
Refs were wearing them last night. Now if we can get them to wear stove pipe pants with them, they will be REALLY retro.

Besides does this guy even remotely happy to have a cake presented to him during the middle of practice? Happy Birthday to... get that thing outta here! Watch out for the Gatorade shower!

I have been in Buffalo all week for work

Cousineau -
Actually, they squeezed in the cake and the players singing Happy Birthday and then got back to business very quickly. We are talking no more than FIVE minutes of practice time. A broken shoelace causes a longer delay. I imagine local channel 13 doing a live special might have had a bit to do with it. Anyway, the fans enjoyed it (which is why we were there) and it did not hinder the team's BUSINESS. I do not understand your point. They continued practicing in a hard downpour. Is that the happy go lucky Bills you are talking about? Do you think MARV ordered the cake? P.S. Great job hijacking a thread.

I previewed those pics on Lori's camera and they are fantastic. You really know how to make those men smile! Good to see you again. Will you be there the 8th? I will be there Monday with the wife, daycare (5 or 6 good kids), #1 daughter and five grandchildren, so I do not expect to see much practice. I will be doing my part to build the next generation of fans!

I do not have a comprehensive report. I will leave that up to the experts who were there. I did see #89 again, shared Lori’s umbrella with her, and saw Mike for just a moment. We had an odd experience. Right in the row behind us sat a BIG loud teenager who must have been at his first camp. He and his friend were definitely dumb and dumbest. The quip of the night should be my sig. They were commenting on how nice the field was despite the rain – no muddy spots, it looked dry, such bright colors, etc. Then someone told them it was artificial turf…… After a pause the kid asked,”What is the difference between grass and artificial?” We could barely contain ourselves! Tidbits: JP looked much better than Holcomb. He was finding his intended receivers. Passes were tight and he was confidant. Holcomb was hesitant, dumping it off to RB’s a lot, but he is a good QB. I really would love to see him take a strong backup role on this team, and be happy with that. Lionel Gates looks very good. I really like this kid’s moves and speed, plus he can catch. He scored a few TD’s. He zigged and zagged when he had to and has a great outside burst to curl around the pursuit. Anthony Thomas was impressive too. It is going to be hard to decide who to keep, and I will be surprised if one of the Bills RB cuts does not get picked up by another team. McGahee was well McGahee! What more can I say? We agreed Joe Burns is cooked. He repeatedly hit the line and maybe got a yard or two, at best. Come on he is a 5 year vet! Kingsbury is definitely camp fodder. He threw several low balls into the turf. That is all we need is another injury to a WR who is diving for a catch - trying to make the cut. They used him to throw sky balls to emulate punts for the return guys. It was a nice cool night after Tuesday but wet. It was actually kind of pleasant, but limited picture taking. At one point with the lights and pourng rain, it was like a scene staged from a movie. I had to take off when it started to pour around 9 PM - had to check my basement and garage. We have had flooding, while the town is still figuring out WHY. At least it is only puddles. <insert plug hole joke here> I will wait for better reports, but this is better than nothing!

Wish I had more but there was a LOT of rain link more later!

eBay? You are SO mean!

Yes, I lie awake at night and worry. Seriously Kelly , the only thing I care about is the game. I control who I like and don't. I control the games I go to. I have simply tired of getting worked up at all by management vs player salaries. It takes away from my enjoyment of the game. I stopped worrying about player's contracts when Cookie Gilchrist held out.

When did you become a Bills fan?
rockpile replied to BILLSBACKERINLA's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...and doing a nice job, I might add! I have been a Bills fan for as far back as I can remember. It became an addiction in 1964 when I shook Tom Day's hand. Judging by only my name, you know my roots! -

I just received training camp tickets for the Aug 14, 21, and 23rd via e-mail. $1.75 each to print, but cheaper than gasoline. So :fyu" Verizon!

Great report! It sounds like you are doing your part to bring in the NextGen of fans too. How did they like camp? Next week I am taking the wife in with her daycare and my daughter and grandkids - annual event!

THAT's the spirit!

I will look for you. I hope to leave work at five and go straigh to Pittsford. Any chance of catching a Sam Adams and burger before practice?

I didn't do it.
