  1. I try to go to opening day and a snow game every year. Looks like Sunday will not be a snow game, but those who go can look for me in my 1962 Buffalo Bills Boosters Club coat! Yo-donkey! I ended up paying more than face value, including shipping, but not a lot. I know R. Rich and I THINK EZC are close by. I budgeted for this game back in September, so the family will get Christmas gifts too. I tried to buy tix at bb.com but there was nothing in the lower bowl. There are some good club level and lots of upper deck seats available. Thanks Bart, I wish you were coming East to be with us.
  2. These guys have not surprised me, but my "quiet faith" in their ability seems to be "paying the bills". Aaron Schobel - I have been a big fan for a LONG time and am happy that others are noticing. Best DE since Phil Hansen! Coy Wire - I cringed and bit my lip at all the smack this guy takes - no sense defending him against deaf ears, but he is quietly just being Coy Wire, Marv Levy - maybe he is not senile and stupid after all.
  3. I know Daquiri will probably hijack this thread, but I am very pleased to announce I got two tickets to Sunday's game off eBay and will be joining the partiers in Section 123 Row 27 ! I am SO pumped! See you at Lot One Pole 5 ! Other TSW'ers - where will you be partying? Ho - Ho - Ho!
  4. um, BUMP ! You will be at the game and tailgate, right?
  5. I do not understand how praising his offensive teammates is throwing the defense under the bus. 'Splain it to me, Lucy!
  6. Not youtube, but starting around picture #25 there are about 4 or 5 pictures of Kenny at the end of the NFL pregame tailgate shooting for the home opener. Kenny covered in condiments and pics of the ESPN crew. I was told these were for the ESPN show. Does anyone have a copy?? The rest are from TBD Tailgate 7. click here
  7. comments are Off The Wall link
  8. This could be the last meeting of the Garbage Plate Society this season. We are dedicating this to Willis McGahee after his donation to the porcelain gods on Sunday in the Jersey Meadowlands on national television (he was warned not to drink the water). Attendance Sheet: 1. Rockpile 2. R. Rich 3. 4. 5.
  9. First time I saw the Who was in 1972 (I believe) at the Rochester War Memorial (now Blue Cross Arena). They played about all of Who's Next and of course earlier hits. They even smashed their equipment. There was a time when big-time bands like The Doors, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Jethro Tull, Grateful Dead, Aerosmith, and many more came through western NY. I saw Jethro Tull twice - 1st after they released "Stand Up" and the 2nd after "Aqualung". I never cared a lot for the 80,000 seat concerts, but if that was the only way to see a band.....
  10. Spare the rod and spoil the Crayonz.
  11. I was there too. It gave me chills! The Clash was also great but Johannsen was in the wrong crowd. The worst part of that show as that there were no reserve seats, and people did not acknowledge lines of any kind. It was also before they had big screens to show the stage up close, but the sound and light show was intense. I still have the ticket stubs.
  12. Since God is a matter or personal beliefs and dependant on Faith, what can you say? I am guessing you have already spoken to him enough that he knows what you believe, am I correct? What is there to argue about? All you can do at this point is shrug your shoulders and say "to each his own". If you believe there is a God, a Supreme Being, an Immortal Spirit - I would trust in God to give the person ample opportunities to make a choice. If you are so moved, pray for him - jerks need more prayers than the "saved" anyway! Just my two cents! Yes, I believe in God, but not the same way that someone else might. It is always personal. P.S. My street is lined with Christmas lights, but that does not mean I am on a street full of Christians!
  13. I like foods that come with a warning: "Enjoy Your Heart Attack! As I said before, if you have kind of medical problem DO NOT !@#$ING EAT THIS THING, YOU WILL DIE!. If you are a normal heathy person, do not eat more than 1 of these a year, they are more or less like crack because they are so good, so you need to be careful. If you die...it's not my fault, you've been warned." Kind of like a Garbage Plate - can't live with them - can't live without them!
  14. Check the broadcast link pinned at the top of the Stadium Wall, and see the link to WHAM 1180 for web radio. Marv does not like to talk about "rebuilding". In his autobio, he says that (paraphrased) If you say you are in a rebuilding year, you have not completed the sentence. You are rebuilding for the next head coach and general managaer!
  15. I thought someone who wore a cape would be braver. Can't find a better fan than him, though. Now that Babyrock is in CT instead of Brooklyn. drive-byes are more difficult. My best to L and L !
  16. Damn! I wish I could have made this one! Would have made a great road trip for me and Babyrock. Have a blast; I almost feel like the NYCBBB is my second home! GG are Phil, Matt F, and Jason S going? Double Damn!
  17. Yes, Oakland is a long way from San Francisco. It has been about the money for a very long time.
  18. The Ralph is about 80 miles from my driveway in Rochester. A quick drive - but not after a late game!
  19. Happy Birthday, Cindy! Wishing you only the best!
  20. Bingo! Tickets are packaged all the time for exhorbitant rates.
  21. Hmmm. Premature Prostatulation?
  22. At least there is FOOTBALL then!
