  1. There may have been a very different momentum change, had the Colts been NEEDING POINTS, instead of 3.5 yards per play. If the Lindell makes that kick, I do not concede the game. As Hank Bullough would have said: "That missed FG really took the sails out of our wind."
  2. Gain 20 pounds, rent the Cadillac, and show up with a "Ho" on each arm. Actually, do you still keep in touch with anyone in your graduating class? I don't. Nothing against them, but we went in separate directions. I only went to the school I graduated from for one year.
  3. BECOMING a negative person? Man, You were a lot more cheerful before the home opener (weren't we all?). Look at the good folks from TBD who will be tailgating there, do a bowling ball shot - heck do several, give Aussiew a hug from the Rockpile, and kwitcherbitching! It is raining here in WNY, as it has been since about May. I am sure Houston will be nicer. I wish I had the time and cash to be there! It's just a game. Make that your mantra (and get some sleep!).
  4. I agree but what alternative sports channels are available with "extended basic" cable? I do not want to spend MORE on extended TV broadcasting? I keep the volume low and read the scores.
  5. Ok, decent compared to what we have today.
  6. ...AND tight ends. Bills have not had a decent tight end since Metz.
  7. I was listening to the game on the radio. After several consecutive running plays I was thinking the same thing. Throw downfield, if only to keep the defense honest! On the very next play, Fat-Ass-Double-Bacon-Cheeseburger-Eating-I-Was-Built-For-Comfort-Not-For-Speed Pennington got blown away on his imitation pass protection and JP took a sack. I am not absolving Jauron, but it seems like it is hard to formulate a very creative game plan with such poor players.
  8. Dick Jauron is unbeatable. You can't lick our Dick.
  9. I guess the Bills better just win, then! Cross is a maroon.
  10. Hard to stop an OC who is offered the Head Coach job from packing his bags. Blame Ralph W for Polian's move; the two of them just did not get along. This is one time when the owner really needed to step back and let his employees do their jobs. Firing Polian is one of Wilson's DUMBEST decisions. Great report as usual, Lori! Hey Scott - if there is room on the Stadium Wall of Fame, maybe you could fit the name "Lori" up there?
  11. If you cannot restrain yourself, use the ignore button.
  12. I have never had a problem, or felt threatened there. Thirty plus years of going - a couple games a year.
  13. You really know how to ruin a great song.
  14. So far I am 0-3 - Governor, Senator, Attorney General (NY) Rumor has it the re-elected Senator has Swisher Sweet cologne.
  15. Hi! I love it when you call me by my pet name, smooth talker.
  16. I felt a bit out of place at the Temptations concert at Kleinhans, many years ago.
  17. Eric Clapton and JJ Cale release their new CD! The Road to Escondito In case you are wondering "JJ who?" he wrote After Midnight and Cocaine (Clapton hits) and They Call Me The Breeze (Skynard) among dozens of others. "In a true collaboration, Cale and Clapton jointly produced and recorded the album, each playing and singing on the tracks. Cale wrote 11 of the songs, Clapton wrote “Three Little Girls,” John Mayer wrote “Hard To Thrill” and the duo cover the blues classic “Sporting Life Blues.” J.J. Cale’s touring band accompanies them on the album as well as guest musicians including, Taj Mahal, John Mayer, Derek Trucks, Doyle Bramhall II, Albert Lee, Nathan East, Willie Weeks and Steve Jordan. Particularly special is the involvement of Billy Preston, who donated his classic keyboard talents throughout the album. "
  18. I wonder why the owner's parents named him "Royal Ahold" I bet he got beat up a lot as a kid.
  19. Well, since they can't really count your vote until today.....
  20. Want me to mail them to you?
  21. Good idea, I just put a link over there which I hope does not get moved to PPP. It will be OK I think, if people behave! I was looking for a wider view, not just the lunatic fringe.
  22. Just trying to get a head count. There is another thread over on the PPP board to debate the politics of today's vote. Click to answer a Yes or No Poll - Did you vote today? I was the 41st voter in my polling place at 7:45am. Anarchists Rule!
  23. I said POLITICAL agendas. General comments are welcome. JimSchiz has a thread to rant, vent, and pop blood vessels.
  24. Today would have been Granny Rockpile's 108th birthday. When she graduated from "Geneseo Normal School" in 1917 as a teacher, she could not vote. Her brothers who left school in their early teens to work the farm could not read, but they could vote. Interesting when you think about it. She taught in a one room schoolhouse in Springwater, NY. She was a life-long Republican Conservative. In the 70's I used to bait her by bad-mouthing Dick Nixon. We used to watch All In The Family together. Granny was cool. Rockpile Voter #41 (7:45am) Congression District 28 Senatorial District 55 (Screw Hillary) NY Assembly District 132 NY Legislative District 17 But STILL an anarchist!
