  1. That's because Leaf was a drug addict who didn't have the drive to become a winning quarterback.
  2. Byrd doesn't want to be in Buffalo. I wouldn't, either, if I were he. Tag him and trade him.
  3. I'm inclined to say that Marrone should be "released from the coaching staff" for not firing Crossman first.
  4. If the Rams end up with the #1 pick, and decide to stick with Bradford over giving Bridgewater a shot, they will be making a huge mistake. Gabbert had too much time in Jacksonville. It was clear after a year that he doesn't have it in him to be a winner in the NFL.
  5. Sammy Watkins/Marquise Lee will be better NFL receivers than Evans. I think Kelvin Benjamin will also be more productive than Evans, who, as Dragonborn said, probably will struggle to separate in the N.F.L. like James Hardy. I'd love Ebron, Watkins, or Lee with our first rounder. There is no chance that Ebron is available with our second rounder. He'll be a top-twenty pick.
  6. I'd sign Matt Schaub for next year to compete with E.J.
  7. The implication in the quoted statement is not that "Kyle Williams and Spiller have been struggling since the Atlanta game." Rather, the concern is that they have been dealing with pain/slight injury (as most players are at this point in the year) and there is no need to risk serious injury.
  8. Hey, at least the O.P. is suggesting we sit players to avoid injury. I can respect that to some degree, unlike posters who want the team to "tank" for draft position. I would get Wingo at least ten snaps today; I would hate to see Fred Jackson get a serious injury, as he would likely be slow to recover.
  9. I'm in favor of switching to eight-team divisions. Play everyone in your division once a year, play four teams each year in the other division from your conference, and play five inter-conference games.
  10. I seriously believe Levitre's presence would have meant two more wins this year. Letting him walk was a bad move; we could have offered a front-loaded contract with all of the cap space we had this year.
  11. I really don't know how to respond to this.
  12. I'm surprised that so many people want the Seahawks to win. I can't stand their arrogance.
  13. I want the Panthers to win. If the Cardinals sneak in, I'd pull for them, too. I'd also love to see the Chiefs win, meaning a second straight year of mediocre QBs winning a Super Bowl.
  14. Yes, clearly, NFL players can handle a 31-game season. Yours is an insane post.
  15. We should have brought another punter onto the roster to replace Moorman weeks ago. We need to see if someone on the F.A. wire (there likely is) can replace him, and we are wasting valuable game time by continuing to employ Moorman. Sign Brad Wing or something. Bobby April is employed.
  16. They were, clearly, not last in the division if they finished 6-0 against divisional opponents.
  17. Beating the Patriots in a game that has playoff implications (we can knock them down to the three seed) would a huge step forward for this team.
  18. We can knock the Patriots into the #3 seed if we win and Cincinnati beats Baltimore. That would be awesome.
  19. Miami still controls their own fate, I believe.
  20. Your crusade is insane. Winning games against divisional rivals to close out the season is important for player morale and helps the team develop for next year. Having players play well now and go out on a high note is more important than two or three draft slots. If the team can identify talent, it will draft well, and it is important that the incoming draft class joins a culture of players who feel that they are on the cusp of success, which beating New England in an important will do. Get some perspective.
  21. McKelvin had some good plays, but was also burned twice deep by Mike Wallace.
  22. Wow, that's a terrible class.
  23. D.J. Fluker has made a huge difference for San Diego at RT.
  24. He may hit the inevitable wall. That doesn't mean trading Jackson will ever happen or make any sense.
